Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. There was no other company who came and talked to us about the project who asked for a fee just to come out. We eventually went with someone else. Grand Design seems like they may do good work but save your $100 and call someone else. If their bid is the highest bid, you've given them $100 for nothing. There are others equally as good. If you do hire them, then you're $100 closer to paying the total. It's a gamble with your money.

Wow, first off... AVOID THEIR SERVICE!…read more I have been a customer with them for a few years now and they do the bare minimum. I do not "yelp" ever, but I felt like this deserved one. After being a customer for 3+ years, I have had the full experience. I have had them come out weekly for front yard up keep. The quality was sub-par. We have uneven patches of grass throughout the yard due to improper care, and I cannot tell you how many sprinklers I have had to replace myself because of their recklessness. This is just the start. Over a year ago, I installed a concrete patio and awning in which another company drove heavy machinery over our backyard grass. Almost every sprinkler head was busted in the process. I contacted Cory's Lawn Service to replace every single sprinkler head and stem as 8 out of the 9 of them were busted. They sent someone out, which took over a couple weeks, and they replaced only 5 of them. BUT, they charged me for all 9 of them. When I turned the sprinklers on, it liked like the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas. I called to tell them to discuss how dissatisfied I was with their service. Eventually, after another couple weeks, they made it right. We kept using them as they were consistent with their scheduling. A year goes by and I call about winterizing our sprinklers. They had the audacity to tell me, the home owner, they refuse to do any services with me but would be willing to interact with someone else because of the last interaction I had with them. The interaction in which they only did 50% of what they charged me for. Unfortunately, because of their receptionist (Aubrey I believe is her name) they have lost a consistent on time paying customer forever. The fact is, some people are always offended but never ashamed. I feel as if this should be the slogan for Cory's lawn service.

Ultimately they were able to complete our job in less than a week, a month earlier than originally planned, and made substantial accommodations to work around the new road construction on our street. I explained I had a leaking irrigation supply valve and wanted to get it fixed fast due to hot weather. Johnathan came by for estimate on Tuesday. He noticed the PVB was very old and valves rusted so that needed to be replaced also, but it could wait. I said I only want to cry once! So added that. I had an estimate later that evening and it was quite reasonable. I had mentioned I wanted an estimate for another little job and he said he would throw that in as a courtesy! Awesome! I accepted the quote and they came out that very Friday, dug a huge hole, replaced all the plumbing with commercial quality parts including the PVB, filled in and leveled, and had it all up and ready to go by 4PM! Glue needed to dry overnight, so next day fired it up and all good! Very pleased with the work and the quick response. They take Zelle and checks so none of this cash only thing so many contractors want to do. They handle lots of different services so I'm sure I'll be using them again soon!

They dug trenches for the irrigation but left hundreds of large rocks in the dirt and then laid sod right on top of that. They told me, "Don't worry, soon the grass will grow right over the rocks - no big deal. Give it a year or two. That was 3 years ago, and my yard is disgusting. I can't mow it as the wheels of the lawnmower drop down into the depressions where there are large rocks all around them. As you walk in the grass, there are pits and rocks that you can feel under your feet. Half of the sod has now died, even tho I spent hundreds every month over the summers on water and fertilizer. It makes me sick to even go into my backyard. I have asked the owner to come look at my yard and talk to me, and no replies - ever. He knows he did a cheap crappy job and now he just wants to hide from me. Stay away from this 'company'.
