It was very sad to say goodbye to a beautiful plum tree that died, but Kyle and David made it a little easier with a quick, easy removal with some creative techniques (tied trunk to truck bumper and pulled it out with roots, leaving no stump). I think stump removal can be an expensive, annoying thing to deal with so I appreciated this a lot. They have a $475 minimum so also trimmed some trees for me. Some were on my neighbors' property (I got permission) and one other person I got a quote from said it would be super expensive to climb the tree and do that. David or Kyle (I forget which) just climbed up on my roof and cut from there. No more elm beetle visitors from the neighbors, woohoo! After they finished, they did a fantastic job cleaning up all the downed branches/leaves, filled in the hole where the tree had been, and raked the front yard (dirt) so it looked normal. You'd never know a tree had been there. Also they were super easy to meet with for an estimate, schedule, and not a long wait. Amazing! I love it when a project is easy! (for me, ha). read more

Sierra Nevada Timber did a great job removing a Bradford Pear Tree from our front yard. Kyle showed up right on time for the estimate and the removal of the tree plus the stump grinding. His estimate was similar to one other estimate that I received from another company. Kyle was not only friendly and super nice, but he could take it down that week. We were happy because we wanted to take a little vacation but have the job done. Kyle and his helper were professional and took care in the removal plus they cleaned the whole area well when done. They even washed down the driveway and cut down one limb on another tree we had that was shooting out towards the road. I just can't thank them enough for such a nice clean job they did for us. I highly recommend them and will pass the word along through friends, family and social media. If you want an accurate estimate and a hard working team, look no further, this is the right choice. And as you can see on their business cards they also do custom woodworking such as tables, furniture, and wood art. A five star plus rating for a job well done. read more

David and Kyle did a great job trimming my trees and opening up the canopy in the back yard which had gotten filled in. They are my go to for keeping things taken care of. They are reasonably priced and always do a good job. read more

Kyle and David arrived promptly and dealt with a branch that detached from the rest of the tree because of recent winds. They reattached it. Kyle told me that the branch was blooming before the rest of the tree because the tree sends more nutrients where there is a wound. He also said that the branch may later die because of bacteria. I appreciated getting this knowledge. They made two trips, one to attach the limb and trim a bush and two days later to feed them both nutrients. The second visit, they didn't call for me. They just quietly did their work. I definitely would recommend them and will hire them in the future if I need work done. read more

I recently used Sierra NV Timber for a few trees in my back yard. Kyle was professional and patient with all my questions. Kyle got right back to us about removing trees in our backyard. They did a great job! Came out within the week. Thank you!

After reading the other 5-star comments, I knew my project would go well...and if you experience their work firsthand, you'll know that five stars aren't nearly enough to give to David & Kyle. Our sumac tree had been struggling the past 2 years, causing it to send unwanted, invasive shooters all over the yard and close to the house foundation. When I reached out to Sierra Nevada Timber about removing the main tree, the inquiry response time, scheduling, estimate visit AND the job itself were all promptly & efficiently executed. The clean up process was thorough and they left my patio looking better than when they arrived! David took the time to explain what they did to help decompose the stump and what I could do to speed up the decomposition of the shooters. The integrity, service and level of chill they displayed is top ranked and I can confidently recommend you stop scrolling through reviews for other companies and contact Sierra Nevada Timber...stat! David & Kyle, thank you for going above and beyond!!! read more

Sierra Nevada Timber did a great job trimming our oak tree. Their response time was fast and price was the best we found. Thank you so much!

We had 35 ft branch that was snapped and being held up after a Reno windy night. Sent a few requests for quotes and Sierra Nevada Timber was the first to respond and stopped by the same day for a free estimate. Quote was fair and competitive with other quotes received, but they were able to schedule the work to be completed in 2 days from receiving the quote. They did a great job cleaning up the branch and remaining deadwood, also efficiently thinned out a large mulberry tree and cleaned up all the debris in my neighbors yard. They were very professional and efficient. I will definitely request them in the future. They also make some really nice repurposed wood furniture. read more

If you need your trees trimmed (or removed, etc.) I highly recommend Sierra Nevada Timber Co. They did a great job on one of my favorite trees in my backyard. Kyle and David were helpful and professional. It's clear they know a lot about trees and recommended a great organic fertilizer to keep my trees thriving. They seemed to work safely and cleaned up and hauled everything away. Cool side note, they can also salvage your tree and turn it into a custom piece of furniture! They removed a cotton wood from my backyard that was dangerously close to my house. They were professional and left my yard super clean. Thanks guys! read more

These guys are THE BEST! We needed a lot of brush and debris cleared, as well as 2 trees removed and another cleared of dead wood. They answered my request for an estimate promptly, they were respectful of social distancing when they arrived on Saturday, and were just plain nice guys. My husband and I had these qualifications in mind- price, timely, and personality. We already knew they were licensed. We accepted their estimate and they were here Wednesday morning at 8 am. These 3 guys worked together like a well-oiled machine. Found out they were former Hot Shot firefighters! Maybe that's how they could work so hard and so fast -while being safe- in such heat. They cleaned up the yard afterwards, above and beyond, IMO. They ground the stumps and scored them to help deter further growth. I can't praise these guys enough. If you have yard work, trees that need to come down, give them a call. You won't be sorry. read more
