Excellent communication, fast service and quality work by the owner himself and his team! Contacted via msg on a Monday. Owner Johnathan got back to me with in a couple hours. I explained I had a leaking irrigation supply valve and wanted to get it fixed fast due to hot weather. Johnathan came by for estimate on Tuesday. He noticed the PVB was very old and valves rusted so that needed to be replaced also, but it could wait. I said I only want to cry once! So added that. I had an estimate later that evening and it was quite reasonable. I had mentioned I wanted an estimate for another little job and he said he would throw that in as a courtesy! Awesome! I accepted the quote and they came out that very Friday, dug a huge hole, replaced all the plumbing with commercial quality parts including the PVB, filled in and leveled, and had it all up and ready to go by 4PM! Glue needed to dry overnight, so next day fired it up and all good! Very pleased with the work and the quick response. They take Zelle and checks so none of this cash only thing so many contractors want to do. They handle lots of different services so I'm sure I'll be using them again soon! read more

Have hired this contractor in the past and the work was done by the owner. Had no problems, service and quality was excellent. Contacted them a second time to do a tree removal and had some issues with the overall job. There was more than 3 cigarette butts left behind by his workers. There were tires marks that were left behind and not cleaned. Had to pressure wash the area ourselves. Also, the stump was not completely removed properly, had a second crew already working on a project for me, remove it so they could do a separate project for me. read more

The owner was easy to talk to and he was humorous; we talked about the needs of My yard and what I wanted done. I was looking for someone to take over maintenace of my yard: pruning, trimming, raking, and other things to keep the yard orderly. Well he told me he would send me an estimate. A week passed and nothing. I decided to give him a call. I called and he sent me an estimate without a break down of what would be included and an approximation of how many man hours per visit. He would email me with the info at lunchtime. It has been 5 days and no response. I am disappointed and frustrated. In the meantime I am doing the work while under the impression that I had found the business to take over my yard maintence. My honest time and effort were railroaded by an irresponsible, unscrupulous business owner. read more

When Jonathan reached out to begin service for this season, my wife and I were both very excited. We discovered this business last year when they had less than a handful of reviews. We were very pleased with the level of service and attention he provided to our home during that time, and are happy he will be doing the same this year. When he pulled up this year, I noticed that he had a new truck and trailer, and when I looked at his Yelp page I saw he'd grown to nearly 40 reviews with a near 5 star average, which just speaks to who he is and the business he has built in the last year. I took a few minutes to talk with him before he started working and learned that he has grown from just himself to operating two crews with clients throughout the Reno Sparks area and down into Carson City too. I noticed a big difference in his communication style this year from last, and I could see that my feedback regarding making estimates known before work was completed was brought into his process as we discussed what was needed this year. He also improved his communication overall responding to messages more promptly and keeping the expectations correct. We hashed out a thorough plan to get my yard ready for the season and a timeline and services which he will be quoting in the near future. They've also expanded to more large scale landscaping jobs, including pavers and such so I'm excited to see this company grow. 7/29/2024- A true believer in fate..: and so grateful for Monjas Landscaping ( Jonathan ).: Initial contact was for mowing the new sod-.. and he did a terrific job.. will be maintaining it for every other week..(reasonably priced).. The next request was on Saturday, when I found a big moss boulder .. 2k pounds- and a yard and half of moka lava to be picked up and delivered.. He arrived at the rock compound and they did not have my boulder tagged.. ughhh.. Lucky for his patience and FaceTime, we were able to find my boulder.. He has such optimism!.. several hours and later the boulder was rolled out and placed!.. some would have given up.. but he was determined! We hired him initially to mow our lawn but then asked him to give us quote for finishing our front yard landscape started by a person we should not have hired.
