Rich came out looked at our trees and gave us an estimate. It was a fair price and Rich was very nice and seemed knowledgable. He did however show up unannounced and a day late to do give us this estimate. Rich said he would be able to do the job in the next couple of weeks. That was fine. He called me after 3 weeks and we set a time for the service. We were scheduled for the next day between 12 and 1. At 2:30 I received a call from Rob stating that they would not make it. He rescheduled for the following Saturday. At 9:00 we called Rich to get a time. Rob called us back and said that he would not be out that day either. At that point I told rob that we would go elsewhere. read more

He rescued that tree and fertilized and got rid of pests affecting several other trees in our yard in addition to excellent tree pruning. Exceptional service! We had an emergency that required tree services ASAP. Rich and his team were over to take down a very large tree that was dangerous . Taking down this tree could was not going to be easy since it could have caused problems for my neighbors and us. Rich and his team had no issues getting the tree down in a safe manner. The trees in my backyard do not look healthy. I called and after some back and forth Rich came out and looked at them. He was confident they could be saved. He took some leaf and soil samples and said he'd get back to me shortly. After waiting a week I called and left a message requesting an update. Another week and another message left. A third week and a final message left. Never did get a return call. I was very surprised since the interaction when Rich came by was very warm and friendly. He did seem quite knowledgeable but that is of no use when he doesn't follow through. read more

I went to the Extension office, no help. I had 2 other tree specialist's come over, no help. I called Rich Gwyn and he wasn't sure what was wrong so he researched the problem until he solved it!! Rich Gwyn was recommended to me by friends he had done work for, and am i ever glad I listened to them! I had an ugly old black locust tree in my front yard that was constantly dropping teeny tiny leaves all over everywhere and had started to send up shoots all over the lawn and even in the neighbor's yard. Anyway, Rich took the tree down, cleaned up the branches and logs, and treated the stump (which we are going to use as a base for a decorative planting) so it won't regrow. All of this at a most reasonable price. He is tops! read more
