However, coming back this time, it was almost a brand new place!! it's clear that the owners and the management have put in a lot more time and expanded not just the menu but the decor and even the upstairs loft! I don't recall the upstairs loft... but we found our ourselves up there with our warm tea and talked for hours. Time flew so quickly, and even though individuals were studying some more playing games and somewhere on dates everybody seemed comfortable and pleased. We tried a fig croissant like dessert, Earl Gray Madeline's, London fog and another tea. I made sure to get a chocolate cronut to go for my husband too. Our favorite was by far the fig dessert! The presentation was beautiful. It looked like a piece of art and the flakiness of the pastry combined with a hot tea was transformative! If you haven't been to this location, it is absolutely worth your visit. Beware to anybody indecisive because there are truly so many options to choose from! I know I'll have to return just to continue to explore the menu.

They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. We asked for to go cups because we had to get on the road and there was a really sweet lady who gave us all the materials and hot cover with a smile.

The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions. They have a huge selection of cakes, pastries, cream puffs, breads, and even sandwiches. I very much enjoyed the matcha croissant squares which are super light and flaky. Any of their almond pastries are delicious! Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

It's still a great place to swing by for food. We didn't wait too long for food and they came out piping hot! Both items were great, although I preferred the Lahmacun a bit more due to the overall flavor profile and vegetables. The tea was a bit too bitter for me even with one pack of sugar. Although the space is on the smaller side, it was clean. There were lots of people in and out for both the food, bakery, and deli. However, it was served as a nice background noise without being disruptive. You can easily converse with someone unlike some places where it can get really loud. Can't wait to try more items on their menu and perhaps finally start making my way through their bakery items.

I wanted a doughnut, but didn't want the whole thing for myself, so I lightly nudged my sweet tooth friend to split one with me. I knew he wasn't going to say no. It required very little to no convincing. Sadly, they were out of half of their options, but we tried the PANDAN CUSTARD DOUGHNUT (4.65) because we both like pandan. The custard was creamy with a strong pandan flavor. The donut was soft and chewy with a delicious sugar layer. I'm sure these have been sitting out for a few hours, so I'm impressed how well they hold up. I would definitely pay the price for these delicious doughnuts again.

Start to finish quality. They care about what goes into their products and care about the finished products. Reasonably priced, and in my opinion, a better value than most of the area competition. At the time of this review, this is not a sit down venue. Expect no frills when you walk in, but delectable goods in-hand when you walk out! I've been looking for one for years in this area & have finally found it. My favorite bakery. Why? It's not a cool trendy or fancy venue, but the owners take the time to take care of you when you walk in. They're just starting to build their storefront in this industrial/commercial kitchen kinda setting, so please don't expect glam. Also, don't write them off until you've given their cakes a shot. Asian-style. Light fluffy, not too sweet cakes with lots of yummy whipped cream. Fresh & yummy flavors. If you're a heavy buttercream fan, this bakery may not appeal to your palate or texture preferences, but if you enjoy fresh cream cakes....mmmm mmmm goood! Other Asian-style bread items are available and their tofu chips are addicting. They're roasting their own coffee beans, too, which make a really smooth cup of java. Tasty. This mom & pop seem to really love what they do, they work extremely hard every day, and they really want their customers to have a good experience with their products. I love that they're often working on new recipes and creating new products to add to their line-up. This bakery is a must try at least once. And, maybe...just maybe... you'll enjoy their delicious treats as much as I do & be glad you found this off the beaten path local bakery.
