I noticed the rear disk hydraulic brakes weren't working at all. I looked at the hours of Hangar 15 bikes. It said they were open until 7:00 pm. I realized if I hurried I could get there by about 6:30pm I got down there and they were able to fix the brakes by adding brake fluid in under 10 minutes. it was almost completely empty. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I will be taking all my future bike repairs to Hangar 15. All the employees are super friendly. It's a great place for bike repairs and new bikes.

I needed a new dropper post and did t order it in time from my local bike shop. One of their other stores had it and sent it over. They install my new dropper post and I realize my calculations were off somehow and I probably needed the next size up. They dont have it, but one of their other stores does. I ask them to put my dropper back on, I'll go on my ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop after our ride to get it. They asked me if I wanted them to just take the new dropper out, or install my old one. I told them I'd appreciate them reinstalling my old one so that I can at least go ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop for the correct dropper. They said it'd $45 for them to reinstall my dropper. I said seriously!?! That's outrageous. Nevermind then, my friend and I will install it. Then they told me I owe them $32 for them putting in and taking out the new dropper post. I understand $5-10 or something for the cable, but $32 for that and then telling me it'd be $45 to put my old one back on! Thanks for ruining a ride for me. I had a feeling I'd regret going to them and I truly do. Makes me truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful and true family customer service of Over the Edge! Where you're family and they treat you as such! Where they know and practice true customer service! True southern hospitality. Not this nickel and dime you and screw you over crap by rude staff that's going to rape you financially for everything they can and apparently never learned what true customer service is. I'll deal with my old dropper post for this trip and wait to get back home to support a shop where they genuinely care about their customers! Where you're family and treated as such! I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at this shop. I dropped off two…read moree-bikes and encountered issues with both the quality of work and the management's conduct. **Bike #1:** I was charged $75 for a flat repair and derailleur adjustment (on a new bike)--nearly double the market rate. Worse, the bike now only shifts through half its gears (it worked perfectly before), and the "repaired" tire went flat after one ride in my driveway. When I tried to inflate it, the tube popped at only **10 psi**, indicating a faulty installation. **Bike #2:** The experience with my wife's bike was even worse. The quote spiraled from a tune-up to a total of $365 as they continually found "new" problems, including issues with a derailleur that had zero problems previously. **Customer Service:** Jerry's communication style is aggressive and condescending. When I questioned the mounting costs, he used scare tactics, repeatedly telling me the bike was "dangerous" and "unsafe to ride" to pressure me into more repairs. When I tried to voice my concerns about being nickel-and-dimed during this three-week ordeal, I was laughed at and hung up on three separate times. I was even insulted personally when he told me he "would have never let his bike get this bad." This shop relies on upselling through fear and has zero respect for its customers. Save your money and go somewhere that values integrity and basic mechanical competence.

There is a great selection and variety. I mostly go for the toys. There is a specific toy that I seek and this is the place to find them. While their toy department is not huge and is just a relatively smaller department within the store, what they do have is quality stuff, things that people actually seek out. Lego sets, RCs, educational children's toys, games, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent selection of disc golf discs. They even had some of one of my favorite brands, Kastaplast! Either Kastaplast is finally getting some mainstream recognition or Scheels has a good sporting goods manager. Speaking of which, Ashton is a great guy and truly thinks of the customer first and the customer's experience. There were even Zuca disc golf carts there. And they were all on sale. Another aspect to love about Scheels are the things you can do there like mini bowling, shooting arcade, and the Ferris wheel. You can have a date there for cheap! And then go to the cafe for a meal or treats. BTW, the jerky they sell there is excellent! All the employees there are very helpful. In some small ways, Scheels is better than Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse. In this competitive market, small ways is what stands you apart. I really like those other stores, too, but Scheels just feels different. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
