So after seeing my daughters need to upgrade her razor scooter to something more age appropriate we headed over. The store is larger than I was expecting and really well stocked. The staff what knowledgeable and super helpful and patient. I ended up buying 2 scooters for both my kids. We'll be back for upgrades and what not as the kids grow.

Email sent, a week passes. No contact. Resent email. No contact. Called but no one answered. Left a message. Repeat times 3. Finally take time to go to the store. It really shouldn't be this hard! The good. Meleik was very understanding and reached out to his team. Despite no response to him, he was able to find a part to resolve the issue. Took 5 minutes to replace the part. Kudos for the service rendered by Meleik. Five stars for resolving!

What I can say with certainty is that Big 5 is an all-around kind of place. Not so much for outdoors enthusiasts--others excel in that category. Not exactly a winter sports or team sports destination, at least that's not their specialty. And clothing selection is decent but not over the top. If they do edge anyone out it's in the shoe department which is pretty hefty, especially if you're not looking to spend a ton. Hiking boots, running shoes, tennies, and lots in between. But really, Big 5 is about covering the bases (pun intended) and offering a modest selection of everything. And at really competitive pricing (keep an eye on the ads) it's at least worth a stop in to see what they have. Pretty convenient right there on 90th South.

I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

(I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. They've got pretty much all seasons covered for fun outdoor and indoor activities.
