Trout Sandwich with side of fries
Christine D.

First time visitor to the area with our family of six. We sat at a table outside by the river, which had huge umbrellas to shade from the sun, which was a nice touch. Our waitress was super helpful and very attentive refilling drinks without asking. For appetizers we started with the fried green tomatoes, which were just OK as they were served with a marinara sauce different taste profile. For entrées, we ordered a variety of items including the shrimp tacos, and fish sandwich and grouper platter. The kids ordered pasta with butter and chicken fingers and french fries. The fries were real potato wedges, which were absolutely delicious.

Instagram post with no indication they are closed on the 4th of july.

We called and got their answering machine. Couldn't talk to a human. We checked their website for any closure notices. Even checked their social media. All I had on Instagram was a happy 4th graphic with no indication of their hours on the 4th. Nothing indicated they would be closed on July 4th. But, when we arrived on July 4th guess what? They were closed. If you are going to have updated holiday hours, it needs to be communicated in some way to your customers. We checked three different ways and there was no indication of a closure. Completely bad way to do business.

Trout sampler (lemon pepper, pecan crusted, blackened) green beans, and corn nuggets. All so very good! Lemon pepper was my favorite.

We had amazing service, great food, and the experience for our dog was very cool. We had trout sampler, grouper, and fried catfish. We all enjoyed our meals. And our dog had the chicken. The pooch patio was in the front without a river view but still a wonderful experience and highly recommend.

Ok.....so I have seen this place on Yelp the last three to four times I have been here. I never went because of the reviews but thought I "will give it a shot". 5 stars for our server and a few other staff members I encountered. The views are gorgeous! (5 stars). The food is like 0-1. There were things that could be added to an entree and we tried but apparently according to the chef/owner a burger isn't an entree and I couldn't add. It was an additional $18 so not sure what his beef was. I read many reviews basically saying the owner or chef is rude and a jackass. I asked for fries well done - they weren't - afraid to try to ask to send them back because I was afraid of guy telling me no as again I read the reviews. Most expensive lunch and worst lunch of my trip..... Try Cantaberry in downtown Elijay. Food is great and they cater to you. Read other reviews.......

Being from a culinary city (Miami) this place was a great place to have lunch. Quality of food was good. My blackened grouper sandwich was delicious; fries - a bit salty. The blondie dessert was wonderful too. Service - outstanding and the view of the river made it relaxing.

Really not bad. We were visiting North Carolina and were told about the Toccoa Riverside restaurant. It's a beautiful restaurant set right on the bank of the Toccoa River. We were promptly seated with a beautiful view of the river. We ordered the Baja Fish tacos, grilled cheese sandwich, and the grouper sandwich for lunch. Our Food came out fairly quickly. The grouper sandwich was delicious, but the coleslaw was a bit odd. the Baja fish tacos were delicious but the french fries were ordered well done and they were obviously not well done. The grilled cheese sandwich was good, but it really wasn't anything special and again the french fries were not well done. The place has a lot of charm right on the river. The views are exceptional and the beer is cold. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite

Thank you for your help hopefully the owner will wake up one day

Some of the food was very cold and looked days old. Absolutely the blandest food. Would not go back or recommend.

Such a great place on the river, not to far from BlueRidge. Great food and relaxing atmosphere. A definite stop when you're in the area.

We had an incredible experience at Ferraro's Kitchen last night while celebrating our sweet friends…read morebachelorette in the VIP room. Our party of six couldn't have asked for a better evening. I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Thank you for making a celebration like this possible for someone who usually has to sit those experiences out. We'll absolutely be back!! This place was one for the books !! :,)

The restaurant is…read moresmall but it has a nice modern, upscale atmosphere; due to the size I'd recommend a reservation on weekend nights. Service was very good and our waiter kept us well attended. The starter of Italian bread and olive oil was fresh and very welcomed as we'd had a light lunch. Perusing the menu, the tagliatelle with wild boar sounded tempting, but when I heard the night's special of cavatelli bolognese I had to try it (the waiter added his approval). It was excellent, with the pasta cooked al dente and a nice, flavorful bolognese sauce; the portion was just right. My wife wasn't terribly hungry so she had a salad as an entree and really enjoyed it. She also tried the espresso martini and it was good though not memorable. Many of the menu prices were closer to what you'd find in a larger city but so was the quality of the food and experience. We will definitely have Ferraro's on our short list of restaurants for our next visit to Blue Ridge...definitely recommended.

Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. Being with the family is always a warm unforgettable experience. There is something to be said about being surrounded by people who care and love so much. I'm in bliss. Until next time ...

We recently visited Whiskey and Water Seafood and Bourbon Bar and had an overall enjoyable…read moreexperience with a few standout items. For drinks, the Sweater Weather was the clear winner--well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The combination of Bulleit rye, La Pommiere Calvados, and sorghum created a smooth, seasonal cocktail with nice depth. The Properly Poached was decent but didn't quite impress in the same way; the Brugal Añejo, pear liqueur, dark wildflower honey, and pink salt made for an interesting profile, though it leaned a bit flat compared to the first cocktail. We started with the broiled sweet crab dip served fondue-style with pita chips, which was a great opener. It was warm, creamy, and rich, with good crab flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. For entrées, the blackened mahi fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. The mango pico added a nice brightness, and the cilantro crema tied everything together nicely on the corn tortillas. The smash burger was another solid choice--juicy double patties with melted American cheese, crispy onion rings, house sauce, and house-made pickles that added a great tangy crunch. Service was ok waitress took a bit to bring the drinks and then the food took about 30+ minutes luckily we were entertained by talking to locals that we really weren't concerned. Overall, the restaurant delivers a pleasant upscale-casual dining experience with well-executed comfort favorites and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the crab dip and the Sweater Weather cocktail and the fish tacos those were my overall favorites. Prices are mid range. Note that the restaurant as most restaurants in the Blue Ridge close early.

Saturday lunch when visiting the area for the day…read more Ordered wedge salad and six buffalo wings, along with a beer. The restaurant was quite empty, so service was quick. Food was good, although given my selection not out of the ordinary. The kitchen is a long way from the balcony where I was, and the restaurant has 500 seats. So I'm not surprised that some previous reviews weren't happy when it was busy. Plenty of free parking, which can be an issue in this town.

Twisted Tomato is a true hidden gem in Blue Ridge, delivering a polished dining experience that…read moreeasily stands out in the area. Arrival & Ambiance: Set slightly off the main strip, the restaurant benefits from a calmer, more refined atmosphere--no crowds brushing past the windows and the welcome convenience of a dedicated parking lot. Located on the second floor, the space opens to a spacious outdoor seating area, while the interior strikes a modern, upscale tone with low lighting, ample seating, and a thoughtfully stocked bar. Several wine racks showcase an impressive selection and set the expectation for a well-curated menu. Service: We arrived early for a reservation for ten and were seated without hesitation. Despite the size of our party, service was seamless. Our server was prompt with drink orders, knowledgeable about the menu, and exceptionally patient with questions. Throughout the evening, he checked in regularly without hovering, and not once did we need to flag him down--attentive, professional service executed exactly as it should be. Appetizers: We shared several starters, including the Lamb Lollipops, Heirloom Tomato Caprese, Momma's Meatballs, and salads. The lamb was a standout--perfectly cooked with a delicate char and beautifully complemented by pesto. The Caprese featured unusually large tomato wedges, but any skepticism vanished after the first bite; the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella were excellent. While I didn't sample the meatballs themselves, the marinara was deeply rich and flavorful, setting the tone for what followed. Entrées: I ordered the Scallops with Potato Gnocchi, and the dish was outstanding from start to finish. The gnocchi was pillowy and precise, the scallops expertly cooked, and the pesto cream sauce tied everything together elegantly. My girlfriend chose the Chicken Parmesan, made with fresh spaghetti and the same stellar marinara--well-seasoned, balanced, and clearly prepared with care. I also sampled both the New York Strip and Ribeye (each cooked mid-rare). While both were excellent, the Ribeye had a richer flavor profile. The menu notes that steaks are dry-aged for 30-60 days, yet the usual "funk" associated with dry aging was absent--a welcome surprise for those who appreciate the depth of dry aging without its more aggressive notes. Desserts: Dessert was equally impressive. The Crème Brûlée was creamy and flavorful, served with fresh, ripe fruit; while the sugar crust was slightly thinner than expected, it was still well-executed. The Tiramisu was balanced and properly textured--no soggy ladyfingers here. The Affogato was the clear standout, with high-quality espresso poured over vanilla bean gelato, creating a simple yet memorable finish. Final Thoughts: For two guests--one appetizer, two entrées, dessert, and drinks--the total came to $130 after tax and a 20% tip. Given the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, the value is more than fair. Twisted Tomato delivers a refined, consistently excellent dining experience and is absolutely worth seeking out. We'll be back on our next visit to Blue Ridge without hesitation.

The gal behind the counter was very prompt and courteous and answered my questions about options on the menu. There is a big stove across the bar so you can see some of the cooking that gets done. The only issue with that is the heat...I didn't want my frosty beer glass to warm up while I enjoyed one of their local brews. I'd rather sit away from the cooking action. I ordered the crab cakes which came with coleslaw. The crab cakes had a nice sauce decorating the top of each cake. I asked for more because the crab cakes were a bit more bread filled than crab filled. I know I am spoiled with west coast Dungeness crab as you get a lot of chunks and not well flaked blue crab, but I really was hoping for more crab than I got for the money. The coleslaw was just okay. It was a nice mayo based dressing but lacked a tangy/sweet combo that I just adore. I am not impressed enough to return.
