Have traveling hearing aide salesman vibes. He did the exam which was not like any other hearing exam I've had. I didn't get a copy of my test or even explained my results. He insisted I needed new hearing aides even though my others are under 3 years old(because my insurance would cover them), we E though mine were too of the line oticon. I was set to pick them up on February 14th at 9am. I arrive at the office, after paying for parking and walking a good distance, only to get a call at 8:55am saying he wouldn't be able to make it because of a medical emergency. I get things happen, but you knew you needed to leave for the office well before 8:55 and that you weren't going to make it for 9am. I told them I no longer wanted to do business with them and to return my hearing aides so I could go to a new provider for them. They called me 6 times over the following week and I told them on 2 other occasions I did not want the hearing aides, yet they still have not done the return process almost 2 weeks later. I can't see another provider until they do so here I am waiting for something that should have been completed. I'm told it could take 2 more weeks. The whole thing was the strangest interactions I've ever had with a medical office.

Is scheduled an appointment at 60 State St. 7th floor, financial district, and had to check in with Security , where my appointment was confirmed, and I was given an identity badge that did not have the TRUHEARING identity. Arriving at the 7th floor, neither TRUHEARING nor Preferred Hearing were not on the list of companies / businesses on that floor. After waiting 45 minutes, Nancy Sideri came to the lobby, and guided me to her office. When I asked for her business card, it shows her a President of Preferred Hearing. On the net she was identified as an audiologist, but described herself as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. After a confusing description of suitable aids for me she asked for payment up front. She wanted me to pay for the aids , asking for my credit card information before having a fitting and testing for appropriate use. I have been using hearing aids for over 50 years, and I have never been asked for payment up front, over $2 500. and before I had an opportunity to see the product, by brand and model, andbe fitted for use. I felt the way everything was set up to be unprofessional and not typical business model.

I strongly recommend against this business for many reasons, but here are a few…read more I. I'm a Blue Cross member. BC gives discounts to certain providers through a company called TruHearing. I chose this business because the web said they offered several different kinds of aids. Not true. It turned out this provider offered only one brand of hearing aid. 2. I've worn hearing aids for years, but the solo practitioner of this business seemed to have memorized a script for first time users, and did not want to be interrupted. My husband and I were a bit frustrated by the talkativeness. 3. The practitioner seemed to have trouble programming the aids. It took quite a while. A few days after the appointment I realized that only one of three settings on the hearing aid (the most intensive one) improved my hearing discernibly.' 4. About a year later, I lost one of the hearing aids. I went to another provider and was tested. She said my hearing was the same in both ears (which I knew), and that the remaining aid had been programmed incorrectly. She corrected that, and I noticed immediately that my hearing was greatly improved. There are more issues with the first provider but this should cover it.

I was told during my consultation with Dr. Tsao that she would apply my consultation money to the procedure and that they had the equipment to do the laser treatment for my skin type. She said I should book an appointment, immediately. My scheduled appointment for 12/2/21 was cancelled on the day of the appointment and I was told that their equipment was broken and that they did not know when it would be working. After calling and speaking to someone from their office on numerous occasions for an update they still couldn't tell me when the equipment would be in. And to make matters worse, Dr. Tsao lied about applying my consultation to my procedure stating that she had never said that and that I misunderstood. So after getting the run around, I called and asked for a refund on my consultation payment. I spoke with the office manager and stated that I made the consult with the understanding that the office had the equipment to do the job and since they don't have the equipment I wanted my consultation payment refunded. However, the office refused to comply. I was cheated out of my money. So, I put a complaint out to the Attorney General's office and the State Health Care Depatment. MGH should be ashamed of their deceptive and fraudulent business.

I was not given any written documents before-head. I asked the doctor why I wasn't treated the entire area as discussed and agreed. The doctor Matthew said if you pay another half previous money I asked for, I can do a little more ( indicating another 5 seconds of the area that was not treated) (which is different than what we agreed upon before) When I told the nurse all the reviews I read about people who have done this treatment takes 30 mins rather than 10 -15 seconds. The nurse just said this is an expert, if you want to do it a little more, you should book another appointment and there will not be appointments available for at least a few months. Then she changed her tone. This experience at the hospital shocked my view towards ethics in doctors. Then you will be told to pay. The receipt does not say any item- based details. It just listed that they swiped my card for this amount of money . There is a lot of corruption in the hospital dermatology department! Sooner or later these people who just chase the money and don't care about ethics will be in big trouble!
