It's obviously tailored towards the hearing impaired and making a sale but I found the doctor to be very friendly and extremely informative. He spoke to my grandmother and I with kindness but also with respect. More often then not a doctor will talk to the person who drove to the appointment instead of the patient. This did not happen on our visit. She was tested and fitted and all of her medical records had been received prior to her appointment which made this appointment extra informative and helpful for both her and I. I like this place because they offer follow up appointments, fittings, free batteries and someone to call when you aren't happy. Her previous hearing aid store fitted her and sent her on her way and never offered any sort of follow up opportunity. This is a problem if hearing loss fluctuates at all. She ended up purchasing a set and came back for a few follow up appointments. They have called to check up on her a few times which is a relief for the family because they can help more then we can. Plus this guy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. A Longhorn fan is always a plus in my book!

Luckily I saw an ad for EAR and made an appointment. I believe it is the single most important medical appointment i've ever made in my life. If you are reading this, you probably know what living with tinnitus is like. It is unbearable.. and finally, at long last, there is an answer! And it is right in Newton, MA ! Presently there is no 'cure' (and there may never be one) - but Enhanced Auditory Resources makes it possible to live with the life-altering diagnosis of tinnitus. There are no words to describe what it is like to have my life and sanity back - all due to E.A.R.

I had not been in for a few years (living out-of-state during Covid made it impossible), but had an emergency with my ear earlier this week created by a mistake at my new PCP's office (note to self: continue search for new PCP). I called Dr. Vernick's office the next day and spoke with Anna - we had a nice chat, she told me she joined the office a couple of months ago and helped me get in ASAP. She recommended I see Mary, the office's RN, and was able to make an appt for me first-thing the following morning. Mary was amazing, looked at both ears to see what happened and then explained in nice, easy-to-understand terms what happened and what to do. My pharmacy let me know 6 hours later (!!!) that one of the two prescriptions she ordered for me was unavailable, so I called the office to go with option #2. I left a message for Mary, she called me back a few minutes later and sent in the next request. I have a follow-up with Mary in two weeks, and am starting to feel a little better after just starting 2 antibiotics. A BIG thank you to Anna and Mary!!

To all those in need of hearing assistance - DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!…read more I recently accompanied my aunt to an appointment for a "free" hearing test - cost us over two hours of our time and all of our patience. The woman performing the test (Sandy Goldstein) was 20 minutes late taking us in, and left the nice woman at the front desk to entertain us. Although we enjoyed ourselves with the front desk woman and she was very kind, we had things we wanted to do. Sandy lady wasn't even in the building!!! When Sandy walked through the door there was no apology to us nor the front desk woman which was so incredibly rude!!!! While we were in her office (FINALLY), Sandy spent the entire time trying to sell, sell, sell. Saying things like "Wouldn't you like to hear like this all the time" and "This is what I recommend for you"..only to find out that what she is recommending was the flavor of the month. It got to the point were we began to wonder if there was any sincere desire to help anyone who has a hearing problem. After telling her that we were going to get a second opinion, she proceeded to call us over and over and over. Sandy said "I think you should come in so we can go over the options" and "who's the decision maker". Finally, after learning that Sandy is NOT AN AUDIOLOGIST (but more of a car salesperson), I asked that she never contact us again. Turns out my aunt didn't have a hearing problem, but she did have wax in her ears and that was what was creating her hearing difficulties. Sandy asked us for referrals - was she serious!!!!! There are people and companies like Mass Audiology and Sandy Goldstein that are just rude, sneaky and are just in it to make money. She could have very easily taken advantage of my aunt had I not been there to navigate this appointment. Keep your money, do not go to here, if you feel you have a hearing issue - go to your primary physician! Very sad experience!

So here, Brandon was very helpful and kind with my grandmother, and he never tried to sell us on anything. Just did a hearing test and re-programmed the hearing aids. We had to go after about 40 minutes, and Brandon was having technical difficulties connecting the old hearing aids to the computer for programming, so he offered to hold onto the hearing aids and sort it out with the manufacturer's tech support. He did that and called later that day saying the hearing aids were ready. They worked much better. The front desk was very courteous as well.
