Although Toast N Egg has been on the scene for a while, it was my first time trying it, and can say that I was a bit underwhelmed. It didn't live up to much of the hype but I think that's more of social media's doing. For me, the flavors weren't very agreeable. I got the wagyu sandwich and the eggs tasted sweet with a Japanese Curry undertone. Still cooked well and maybe their more traditional options tasted better, but I'm just not used to eggs tasting sugary. I think I wanted to like it more, especially with such a cute interior pulling inspiration from restaurants in Asia that have a huge display in the center right when you walk in. It's in a great location, high traffic for the sunset and right before GGP. Inside you just order on the kiosk, which would be straight forward if they had it working, so instead the employees watched each customer walk up to the kiosk then walk away without ordering. When told it wasn't working, they shooed everyone back to the iPad, insisting that it was. Would potentially come back and try a different sandwich if I was in the area, but with the unique flavor profile in mind I think I am better prepared.
Love the concept here. It's unique and all the components of the toast are tasty. Bread is super soft and grilled to a nice crisp, egg is perfectly soft scrambled, lots of avocado, and cabbage gives a nice crunch and it seasoned well. The curry chicken was super crispy and had great flavor. They also have a really cute back patio that's perfect to sit and enjoy your food. We also tried their fries which are very crispy. The way the toast is constructed is not ideal though - it's a thick piece of bread split in half, but not all the way, so the bottom is just bread. The cabbage is down at the bottom, and all the egg is at the top - so it's actually best to eat it from the side where you can get a bit of everything in each bite, and not be left with a strip of plain bread at the bottom.
The viral Korean Egg Sando in the Bay Area! @toastnegg_usa has the most fluffy eggs with pillowy bread that makes up the perfect combo. You can choose different pairings like wagyu, mushroom, shrimp, etc for under $13 a sandwich! Fun doesn't stop there as they also have delicious croffles for dessert, crab fries made from real crab, and tasty drinks. Parking can be hard depending the time you go. Inside is cutely decorated with an outside patio and service is really nice! What We Ordered: Wagyu Toast Shrimp Talk Toast Strawberry Croffle Real Crab Fries Iced Matcha Latte
This is a unique eatery in which I've never had before. I've always wanted to try Taiwanese-Korean style egg toast sandwiches but I just never came around to try it. I finally came here last Saturday and ordered their Wagyu toast meal for about $17: Toast, Fries, and lemonade. The Wagyu patty just tasted like regular meat but the sauce/marinade from the meat is delicious! The egg is fluffy and well scrambled! The sweet brioche-like bun is also perfect with the salty balance of the patty. The fries tasted like curly fries from Jack in the Box but even fresher and better! I enjoyed watching the cooks put everything together. There is no cashier here; just a payment machine tablet so just be aware. The parking is pretty rough to find in the area too so just come during down time if possible. They have additional back patio seating in the back as well as a few bathrooms. The egg toast sandwich is delicious and we'd love to come back again and try more!
Great place for a quick pick me up, lunch, or treat! Super affordable and great value. Double egg toast (4/5) - for only $6, this is a steal for a quick, filling bite in the city! The best bites of the egg were definitely the top, with some scallions on top. I wish these were sprinkled throughout the sandwich. Otherwise the egg was made really light and airy, and it even felt a bit creamy! The toast was delicious and perfectly toasted. I ordered their double egg toast on a weekend. Food took about 10 min to come out. You order through an iPad, but unfortunately the printer to print orders was broken so it was difficult to know; the store was busy with lots of customers so I had to go right to the front and the employee helped me. The ambience was bustling. I can't wait to come back and maybe try one of their matcha drink
Hands down one of our favorite spots, their sandwiches are SO good and they're priced really well The place has some seating and parking can be difficult.
What we ordered: * Coffee 3/10 * crab & corn sandwich 9/10 * bulgogi beef sandwich 7.5/10 (a little salty) [Taste: ] Good breakfast spot for yummy sandwiches! Although I would skip on the coffee next time. [Service: ] Great, self service. [Comments: ] Nice ambiance with both outdoor and indoor seating. Both the inside and outside were remodeled nicely. [Bathroom: ] It's ok.
TL;DR: Egg sandwiches are pretty sweet. Beware in case you're not into that. Solid stop for a simple sandwich! Order online so your order will be ready for pickup as soon as you arrive. I got the regular egg sandwich and fries -- the fries were perfect, but the egg sandwich was mostly sweet. I'm not sure if they accidentally went overboard with the sauce/mayo, but I definitely ordered an egg sandwich because I was in a savory mood and wasn't super satisfied afterwards.
wow, we got lucky and found parking in front of the restaurant. This eatery is amazing. The vibe and decor is so cool, it totally fits the menu. My wife and I were very happy we stoped in. David at the chef's window was helpful and kind. The sandwiches melted in our mouths, it was Delicious! There's also a patio in the back with decorative plant wall and umbrella tables. We Ordered two more sandwiches to go for my kids and (they loved the taste of the sandwiches) at home and they were happy. We'll be back, of course! :)
I've heard a lot about this place on social media so I decided to swing by since I was already on that side of town. It was so easy to order on the tablet! For my first order, it even gave me a special discount if 3 dollars. The row loaded sandwiches were only 18 dollars? Can you believe that?! So affordable and so filling! Everything looked so yummy and we decided to go with the chicken curry and the imitation crab! I absolutely loved the imitation crab- personally, it just reminded me of a yummy crab Rangoon but in sandwhich style with the fluffiest of eggs. The mayo made it so creamy! The chicken katsu was really good too, kinda like a sando. They have outdoor seating which is really nice! We were able to bring our pup with us.
The food was so good and filling. I will say I wish there was more egg, just because it's toast n egg. It was super flavorful too! I love the packaging that the sandwiches came in.
Ordered to-go lunch here to bring to GGP for a picnic. Placed our order online and when we got there, we still waited for another 10ish minutes. I got the crab stick and corn toast while my friend got the wagyu toast. Both were super delicious and a good portion. I would say that the filling is concentrated in the middle of the toast, leaving the bottom to basically just be bread. I've come here before and would come again!
The place has super cute decor, but the food didn't really do it for me. I got the shrimp toast, and honestly, I was expecting a lot more. The shrimp part was just a paste, so it didn't have much texture or flavor. It kind of reminded me of a pancake made from shrimp paste. The egg on top was fluffy, but pretty bland, and the sauce didn't really work--it made everything messy to eat and didn't help the flavor at all. Also, the bread looked like it was going to be crispy, but it was soft, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, I expected better. Maybe I'll try it again with delivery since parking around here is such a hassle.
You order on a kiosk and bring your ticket to the register to pay for it. They'll call out your number when the toast is ready. Got the waygu toast & crab stick corn toast. Both toast was tasty and packed with filling. I really like their toast, it's so soft and fluffy. Their egg is also fluffy too. Overall, it's a good toast, but a bit on the oily side. read more
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, but it's always closed whenever I remembered! Luckily, we left work a bit early and made it just in time to take advantage of their Tuesday Wagyu Special sandwiches for 50% off. It was really tasty, though definitely on the heavier side--I only finished half, and that was plenty to satisfy my craving. The bread was soft and pillowy, and the filling was packed with flavor. I'll definitely be back, but it's probably not something I'd crave every day, but worth a try! read more

I wanted to see what all the hype for this Korean foodie place. Well from my first and last time to come here this is not for me. It's for the young people who love to instagram foodie because the unique egg sandwiches are unique with fluffy eggs that I haven't experienced yet in my lifetime. I haven't been to Korea yet, so I can't compare. It makes a light meal. My friend and I were struggling with the kiosk and had to ask another customer in how it works as they too were struggling but we both were able to figure it out eventually. Not having any staff around to ask was the only negative. We came when it first opened in the morning back this spring 2025 Saturday. There were 2 cooks behind the glass making many sandwiches and you can see they cook this fresh. The atmosphere is yellow the color of happiness. I love the cute frying pan and egg. again great for photos! I love it! They offer 10 different Korean egg toasts with various fillings like wagyu beef, mushrooms, and chile-shrimp patty that can make both meat and vegetarians happy with what ever they order. They also have sweet options like croffles that are croissant waffles with strawberries, Oreo, banana and matcha flavors and savory sides like seasoned fries with crab. It took a while for them to make the sandwiches. There was counter seatings along the wall which quickly filled up. There were lots of takeout. Finally our food came and we picked it up. Everything is self service. The food packing is on cute side and I need to take photos! It was a nice oily and fluffy egg wagyu egg sandwich with nice flavor. For me it was just ok and nice for a unique experience but there was no wow factor that will drive me to come back here. I know many people love this place because it's always busy. read more

The korean vibes inside is so nice and i really like the massive toast they put in. The food smells so good the moment you walk in. The scent of bulgogi and the sweet bread gets me every time. I got the oppa toast and the kimchi with the sweet meat balances eachother out so nicely. THE FRIES STAYED SO CRISPY it was so delicious to eat too. My friend got the pork chop and it was spicy and creamy for him (hes a little sensitive with spices, so try it out and let me know too) overall this place is a delicious place and i would love to try more sandwiches read more
We have been wanting to try Toast N Egg since we had it last year in Korea. We waited for the hype to calm down to try Toast N Egg. Finally went there and it was not busy and was excited that San Francisco has this Korean toast and egg. We ordered the Fish Toast $10.99 and the Spicy Chicken Toast $11.99. The Fish Toast had a little sweet sauce, the Spicy Chicken had a tangy spicy sauce. Both sandwiches were okay. The egg was bland, not sure if it is real egg? The bread looked like it was going to be crispy, but it was not. Seems like the bread was pre-made and they just stuff your egg, meat and sauce into the folded bread. Maybe that's why the bottom of the sandwich was all bread? Inside has very limited seating. There's seating the back patio, but I did not check it out since it was too cold to sit outside! The parking is bad, the sandwich is just okay (not like the one we had in Korea). Nothing was exceptional, but it was not bad either. I would probably not go out of my way to go back for a sandwich. read more
Came for the fun egg interior design, left with a surprisingly satisfied appetite. Don't be fooled by the small seating area in the front; there's a bathroom and a cute outdoor garden area to relax and eat your sandwich in the back! The sandwiches they have here are not your ordinary sandwich - they use the fluffy Korean soufflé egg that really makes it standout amongst its competitors (a better ver of the sandwiches served at Semicolon Cafe in NY). I got the pork chop sandwich but in the future will probably just get something like egg and avocado since the extra protein was unnecessary. The egg outshines everything, and the second star of the show is definitely how fluffy the toast is as well. Definitely will be coming back here when I'm nearby (it's also super close to Pineapple King which is a huge plus!). read more
Stopped here on the way to a football game. There is street parking available. Walked in and ordered off a tablet, cutie place with a great outdoor dining area, wish it was warmer I would have definitely enjoyed sitting out there. Food came out pretty quickly and employees were friendly. Took a bite into my sandwich it was like breakfast met Chinese food. Definitely worth the try!! read more
Stumbled upon Toast n Egg early in the morning while grabbing coffee and decided to give it a try. I was lucky to snag their Wagyu Toast for 50% off because it was Tuesday ($6.50 instead of $12.99). The special only includes the toast, so fries and drinks have to be ordered separately if you want a full combo. Ordering was simple through their kiosk system, and they also have a neat app with a rewards program. You can even order ahead to skip the line, which is convenient. The decor inside is trendy and matches the theme of the restaurant well. They have indoor seating and a clean patio area in the back with tables and chairs. I also appreciated that the bathroom was spotless. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the Wagyu Toast was decent. I enjoyed the sweet cream, pickles, and the steamed-style egg they included, but after finishing half, I was mostly left with the thick, lightly toasted white bread. The Wagyu beef patty didn't really stand out--it tasted more like a regular oily beef patty to me. Overall, I think this place shines more for its trendy vibe and basic offerings. While the food is good, I don't think the price point matches the experience. I'd definitely try them again, maybe by having a company representative cater to the office for a light lunch or breakfast. read more
First time eating here today and I would come back. You order at the kiosk and your number gets called. I decided to get the shrimp talk toast and thought it was pretty good. Soft bread and fluffy eggs. The deal was make it a meal as you get a good amount of fries and a good size drink. I was.really full from the meal. Also, there is a back patio that you can sit and eat or a table and counter to eat inside. Definitely be back. read more
Cute little breakfast eatery with delicious sandwiches and fries. Street parking and not much room to sit indoors. If you walk down the hallway they have outdoor seating in the back that's super cute. Service was good as well. read more
Self service styled restaurant. Sitting is a bit limited, with some tables at the back patio of the restaurant, but there's not much demand, so you most likely can get a sit without issues. Unfortunately their waffle desserts are only available on weekends. So keep that in mind if that's one of the reasons you are coming here. read more
My husband, BIL, and I stopped by a few months ago. We ordered on the kiosks and waited for our order to be called. They have your order number on a screen and you can see when it's ready. They have a cute egg and toast statue but it's huge and in the middle of the already small restaurant. Every spot I waited at felt inconvenient. Next time I'd probably wait outside. My husband had the shrimp and egg toast and I had the pork chop and egg toast. Both were tasty and hit the spot! Definitely grab napkins because they're messy. My iced matcha latte was pretty good. The americano was not. read more
This place be poppin. Because it's so popular, I would suggest ordering online. Super quick and easy and it was ready when I got there. Staff was nice and place was cute. Little seating so go enjoy it at the park. Crab stick and corn - imagine eating a California roll with bread. Or a ham and corn bread from a Chinese bakery. That is what this tasted like and I loved it. It may look a little small but it was definitely filling. Everything was cooked well. I always find these sandwich toasts on the oily side and this one was no exception. Packaging was thoughtful. I'd definitely come back and give another a try. read more
There is a huge egg skillet display/photo-op right when you enter! I ordered online, but it seems like you can order at a kiosk too. My friends and I thought the sandwich was good until we realized they stacked their ingredients instead of evenly layering the sandwich. Not sure how to describe it but we ate all the scrambled eggs first, the imitation crab, then the sauce on the bottom. Good, but not enjoyable since you're eating one layer at a time. read more
This spot is Eggs-Elent! I love breakfast, and this cute place really hits all flavor notes. Curry Katsu Egg Sandwich: Yummy curry sauce, juicy chicken, fluffy eggs and soft toast. Very delicious combination of flavors. Korean rib eye: Sweet tender thinly slice beef, tasty sauce, Kim Chee was a blast of flavor, well seasoned Overall, I found this spot very cute, easy to order kiosks, fresh and hot food, god quality and good value. read more
I found Toast N Egg and thought it looked cool and like a unique experience so hit it for lunch. I loved the big cracked egg statue in the middle of the store but the rest of the experience just wasn't great. Ordering is from a tablet on the wall and the ordering menu wasn't the most intuitive. Also there was only one tablet so I caused a bit of a backup behind me. And even though when I arrived, there were no other people in front of me, it took a bit longer than expected to get my food. While I waited I put my headphones in because the blaring EDM was a bit much for me. When I got my sandwich, I thought the cute cardboard packaging was a cool touch but was sad to realize there was no way to recycle this in the store so it seems wasteful. The sandwich was Ok and was quite messy and despite having the cardboard holder, you have to remove the cardboard to be able to hold the sandwich to eat it and this leaves nowhere to catch sauces from the sandwich. In all I won't come back here and don't suggest it. Don't fall for the pretty aesthetics! There's much better food to eat and more pleasant environments to visit! read more
So yummy! Soft and fluffy egg, and very tasty, soft bread. Only ever got the avocado egg toast but it doesn't disappoint. If you get the Wagyu Toast, you may be getting bites of only egg at first, the meat was at the bottom for us. Cute outdoor seating in the back! read more

Its so cute inside . I loved the little egg on the paradise drink. If you want something carbonated get the paradise drink. The sandwiches were good! I got the avocado and egg which was basic but I still liked it. The only downside is the street parking but didnt cost much. They also have more seating patios in the back. read more
I am excited that we got this Korean sando spot here in the city! I have been here a couple of times already and have tried different things. This place is cute. Definitely made for photo ops! Limited seating in the front room. There is seating in the back! Ordering is easy. You can order ahead online for pickup. You can also order in store on the kiosk. Be patient, the food does take time to make. This is why I suggest ordering ahead. Plus parking is a B where this is located. It's right off 19th. The food is good. I've had the Wagyu Toast, Curry Up Crunchy Chicken Toast, Real Crab fries, the hashbrown, and Shrimp Talk Toast. The only thing about the shrimp toast that threw me off was that it was sweeter than I expected it to be. Even with the hot sauce it still wasn't balanced. The hashbrown is really crispy! I'm trying to taste the whole menu. I've had a matcha latte from here, its OK. I would spend my money on more sandos than the drinks here. read more

This new egg themed counter-service restaurant in Sunset is a cute place to grab a sandwich. You can order ahead online to save time but when I went midafternoon on a Saturday there was no line to order at the kiosk. The food came out quickly and there was counter top seating available, but I really liked the little hidden patio they have out back. They did a good job creating the ambience for this place. Their menu consists of mainly egg sandwiches and croffles. I had the Sugoi Beef Toast ($10.99) and enjoyed it. The beef tasted like Korean bbq and the eggs were fluffy. The bread was good but soft even though it looked toasted. And like others have said, they need to work on more evenly distributing the ingredients in the sandwich. I also tried the Real Crab Fries ($9.49) which were extra crispy and covered in a sweet mayo sauce. Not bad but not a must. The Paradise ($6.99) is their specialty drink. It was a little too sweet but the presentation was fun. This place is definitely worth trying for its unique Korean egg sandwiches and it doesn't hurt that everything is photo worthy. read more

I've tried Toast N Egg twice so far- once as takeout, another fresh at their outdoor patio. Their patio space is a ways from the front of the store, which I think is unfortunate as it's connected by a long hallway that cuts diagonally across the shop oddly, and hidden away. However, the space itself is cute with a few tables and chairs, and a false grass wall- it's just missing some fairy lights! You can order via their kiosk or at the register. The sandos take some time to come out, especially if it's really busy, so it's not really a quick stop for lunch if you're on a time crunch. . Shrimp Sando: (4/5) I love the shrimp patty, and the eggs are so delicate and fluffy. I think it could be shaped better or have more egg though, as there's some bites of just bread, some of just bread and patty.... but the bite with all three is perfect. . Matcha Latte: (3/5) I'd rather places offer no matcha rather than bad matcha. It's more milk than matcha, but it's also pretty powdery as the matcha powder wasn't fully dissolved. Definitely recommend eating fresh rather than doing takeout, as the fillings make the bread soggier and the sauce drenches through the packaging. For 10-12$ each sandwich I think it's decent. read more
Absolutely delicious!!! I was visiting sf from florida and knew that I had to stop here after seeing pictures. The sandwich I had ( SUGOI BEEF TOAST ) was super flavorful and filling. The packaging was absolutely adorable and very functional. My dad still talks about this as being one of his favorite spots from the trip! The service was good and we enjoyed eating outside on back patio. Hopefully they will bring one to florida (or i'll have to plan a trip back to sf ) read more
Such cute packaging! I totally dig the aesthetics, but does it taste good? I personally enjoy a good breakfast sandwich anytime and I guess these qualifies. The wagyu toast tastes just like a normal burger sandwich to us. It's pretty good, but nothing exceptional. The avocado & egg toast was pretty yummy. Overall, this is a spot I may revisit if I'm in the area to try other things on their menu. Located on Irving Street between 19th and 20th Ave; next door to Golden Crab House. read more
