I'm honestly surprised I didn't leave a review! I've been here numerous times and it's my favorite place on the island. This is the only place where I can try a random item I've never had on the menu and not be disappointed. Their hot chocolate is always delicious and I always get it before my meal. Today I had their strawberry lemonade and that really hit the spot. Pro tip, ask for light ice on that. I don't even know where to begin on the food. Every bite of my omelet today was so flavorful. Toast finally opens up in Bay Shore - it's usually quite crowded on the weekend, but come on a Tuesday and you're seated right away! We had ordered the Avocado Toast and an omelette. The toast itself was pretty thick. It was basically just toast, onions and avocado. It wasn't anything crazy fancy and I'd say it was 70% bread, and the rest consisted of avocado and a few slivers of onion. The fruit salad was pretty fresh, and that was probably my favorite part. The avocado toast comes with a side - since I didn't want to opt for the potatoes the fruit salad was available for an extra $1.50 to substitute. Unfortunately I was way too full to eat all of the fruit, still wish I would have taken it home. It was nice to go to a breakfast/lunch place and not have to wait forever to be seated!. The decor is rustic, country and cozy. I love how everyone gets a different looking coffee mug and not your typical restaurant types. More like the ones you would find in your grandma's cabinet. The service is excellent! There are so many choices to choose from and I just had to tell myself not to worry cause it only means more reasons to come back!. And come back I sure will! My dish was delish. Pre-Quarantine I went to Toast and it was delicious! The place itself is very cute; it has a circus theme but it's not clowns everywhere (which would be terrifying). The service was prompt and I liked that she gave my friend and I time to talk and decide what we wanted to eat. I got the Bad Larry, it has Turkey, avocado, tomato, and bacon and it was amazing! I got it with a spicy mayo on the side and that was a power combo! I am shamelessly obsessed with French fries and the fries at Toast were definitely not a disappointment. They were crispy and delicious! My friend got the Nutella French toast and she said it was to die for! Toast was a great place to go for a casual brunch. I dined at this restaurant and the food was really good. Honestly you cant miss with whatever you order expect of you order the Caesar salad (basic). The service was good however the place got very busy and I had to get up twice to track down a glass of water. The restaurant is a nice size but the tables are close together if you dont get a booth or sit outside. The major con of this place is that they only take reservations for (6 people or more). Moreover they have a call in waitlist- basically meaning if you just show up randomly, the wait can be two hours.. Overall there are no deal breakers and I would definitely come back here. read more

Toast One would think that the ability to properly prepare the namesake would be a prerequisite . Boiling water , making toast ....the basics right ? This location is a bit smaller than Patchogue. We got on a waitlist and were seated fairly soon . Our waiter was Joe who was a nice guy . This is not a condemnation of Joe . This is about our food taking a ridiculous amount of time . This was about being told the food was on its way , when it was not . This is about other people who came in after us being served before us .This was about a rush job on it to finally get it to us and not even taking the time to properly toast the bread. This was about my girlfriend asking for her English muffin to be on the crunchy side , where if was barely even toasted , sent back and STILL barely toasted. Even the rye toast I ordered was much closer to bread than toast . There was a side order of bacon that looked anemic . The rest of the food was good. If you look through my reviews , I'm pretty tame . The kitchen might have just had an off day . But I don't think I'll go back here . My hubby who ordered the Tennessee chicken and waffles (spicy version) said it was the best he ever had. It wasn't just chicken fingers on top of some mushy waffles... this was cornmeal crusted hot honey chicken thighs on top of deliciously sweet and hearty Belgium waffles. We really wanted to try the pancakes because they had SO MANY different flavors to choose from so we got a short stack of apple crumb. It was perfectly sweet where no syrup was needed, just enough crumb and apple topping. I had a breakfast burrito, the Domingo and they were super accommodating by serving it with chicken instead of pulled pork. It also came with this awesome mangas salsa that was a bit like a pico and I added it to every delicious bite of my burrito. The home fries were one of the best! This was my fist time at Toast and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I put down a party of 3 in the online queue, and about 35-45 minutes later our table was ready (which isn't too bad for Sunday brunch). The ambiance of the restaurant was pretty cool, with different paintings and retro posters with a old-traveling circus, Ringling Bros-type theme. All of the wait staff looked like they were on the same page and actually enjoying working together, which just makes the environment more enjoyable. Mimosas are quality and all of the different Bloody Mary variations are equipped with a house made Mary mix, that is top-notch. The menu is extensive and there are countless options for whatever you're feeling; whether it's sweet or savory or a mix. I highly recommend the Boston creme French toast! Although the name insinuates that it would be a coffeehouse, you definitely don't get that vibe upon entering: This spot is carnival themed and has a VERY large open area for plenty of seating (super smart because this place gets packed). My friend and I arrived around 9:15am on a Sunday morning and had a 15 minute wait. Pro tip: Get there early! Everything on the menu is delicious, and they're great with accommodating gluten and dairy allergies. I'm obsessed with the lemon blueberry mimosa - It's unlike any mimosa I've ever had before! Their coffee is also excellent. I LOVED the avocado scramble; It was everything I could have wanted for breakfast cooked together into one big blob! I think this is the only place on Long Island with actual separate vegan menu! Breakfast, lunch, sweet or savory - everything is alway great. Their coffee is strong but smooth, alternative milks steamed to perfection showing the knowledge of bar staff, they also serve variety of alcoholic drinks to complete your brunch experience. This location is very packed on weekends, but you can hold your place in line online instead of standing by the door which is super helpful. We were seated immediately and the staff is very friendly. The price is reasonable especially for the amount of food you receive. My whole party took food home. There is parking, but depending on the time you go it may be free. I had the chicken in waffles. It was good, but I wasn't found of the waffle. The last time I reviewed this location was 4 years ago and I've come back to report that unfortunately, there has been a decline. I visited this location about two weekends ago for brunch with a friend and the experience was disappointing. When we walked in the air just felt stale. We were seated at the bar and there were flies...yes flies. At that point I had already ordered a drink so I proceeded to drink it but was not interested in ordering food, though my friend did. Our waitress was very much delightful and accommodating but the atmosphere made the experience uncomfortable. Place has a cute circus tent theme to it, came around 12pm and it was crowded but there was no wait we were seated almost immediately. I really want to give this place a 3.5. The only reason I pushed it to a 4 was because of my server Julio. He was amazing, to say the least. My waiter Julio was very attentive and made the rest of my experience at this establishment. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the cinnamon bun pancakes with bacon. BOTH ARRIVED HOT AND FRESH!!! The food was definitely tasty. I think the chicken came a little spicy. I wasn't sure if I got the right one with my order since they also have on their menu a Tennessee chicken and waffles. I would have bet someone mixed up my chicken, but none the less it was enjoyable. I got a creme brulee latte To-go! The top didn't really have the creme brulee done as I would have hoped, but maybe it's one of those things better ordered for DINE IN. WOULD REVISIT to try other menu and drink items. They have a full bar so I was expecting a quality breakfast cocktail (mimosas, etc) menu but the list was very limited. I had the orchard cranberry mimosa and my friend had a bloody may. i dont like bloody marys at all so I can't tell you much about it, but my friend said it was watery and not very tasty. My cranberry mimosa had to be sent back. it was completely flat and tasted like cough syrup. i am never, ever one to send anything back (maybe once, a bottle of wine i ordered was corked, but if it's something i ordered it's my fault for ordering badly so i don't believe in sending things back) but it was undrinkable and totally unacceptable. i think if it hadn't been completely flat i probably would have just sucked it up and drank the thing. First of all the decor is adorable here! I love the old circus vibe. The service was great from the host to the server. Our server was patient and helpful from start to finish.
