In the past few years I have had two major water leaks - both related to my outdoor fountains - that resulted in water bills exceeding (in the aggregate) $1700!!! Many of my friends have had the Moen Flo leak detector installed and they have been very happy with how it functions. In most cases, it also entitles you to a discount on your homeowners insurance premium. It is installed on the main water line from your meter to your house, and if excessive water usage is detected, it turns off the water to the house. I got a recommendation to Sebastians Plumbing from my neighbor. Sebastians was agreeable to me purchasing the device myself on Amazon and they would install it. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong pipe size and when the came out to install it I had to return the unit to Amazon and get a larger size. Sebastian did not charge me an extra trip charge for this error on my part. Two of their technicians came to install it. I watched them do it so I understood how it was operating. They consulted me as to which electrical outlet I wanted to use and how I wanted the power line to be secured to the wall. They also assisted me in setting up the app on my phone and making certain that it was working properly and that I understand how to use it.
