I've used Plumbaway for several years now and will continue to do so. I learned about them from other friends who had old houses (100+ years old) and they did excellent work helping us keep that place running. Robert is very responsive to texts and gets to me quickly. I wanted to find a reputable plumber to replace all the rusty pipes in my old house and during my research I discovered a company on Yelp called Plumbaway that has a 5-star rating. There aren't many things in life that such a majority of people will agree on. Could a company really please that many people? (Yep!) When I called the number late one afternoon, Robert, the owner himself, answered the phone. I needed an immediate repair and had one the next morning. Impressed, I requested a bid to repipe the whole house using PEX. I had a very reasonable quote within the hour. All questions and concerns were answered to my satisfaction. They scheduled to begin a few days later. The whole job took three days, but the water was cut off only for a couple hours on the 3rd day. Robert came onsite several times to oversee the operation. My garbage disposal was completely jammed yesterday - right before Labor Day weekend - so I found Plumbaway here on Yelp. Since they are located here in the Heights and I love supporting our local businesses, I gave them a call. Robert returned my voicemail in ten minutes and had Manuel over to assess the situation in no more than 30 minutes. My garbage disposal had in fact died so Manuel quickly ran to the supplier and picked up a newer model and cane right back and installed. During the freeze, Plumbaway came out just to check out our pipes and make sure everything was A-OK. They were super slammed but stopped in. When everything calmed down, we called them back to fix the water shut-off that we broke turning it off for the storm (haha). Chose them and 2 others from online reviews. The promptness is clarity in their responses made me select them. They were available when I needed thankfully and showed up on time. Gentleman that came to repair were shoe covers, came prepared with all parts since I had sent video of leaking water line that's for a fridge. Repaired as expected and quoted, did have to cut sheetrock but was super careful and cut out as minimal as possible. They did provide sheetrock repair referral but luckily there was some new construction going on at other end of neighborhood so grabbed one of the painters and they fixed sheetrock and paint within 2 hours, it was all done! I honestly cannot recommend Robert and Plumbaway Plumbing highly enough. I live in Dallas but have a rental property in Houston. I called Plumbaway on Friday morning with an issue. Robert answered immediately, listened to my explanation, and offered to go to my property that afternoon to inspect the issue--I didn't even have to ask for a "rush" visit. He texted me photos of the problem, explained everything, and patiently answered all my questions...at 8:00pm on a Friday. Last Sunday the water heater was leaking CO2. Had to call 911. That's 2 issues if you consider that one must disinfect a house after 4 emergency personnel show up during a global pandemic. Pulled up Yelp. Plumbaway was highest rated. Called 'em up. Robert picked up at first try -- despite the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon. He had a guy (Fernando) come out to our house by 9am the morning after, even though the appointment was scheduled for the afternoon. Fernando was dressed for the occasion, with gloves, an N95 face mask, boot protectors and the likes. It took him less than 15 mins to end the CO2 leak. He promptly provided an explanation and came up with a long-term solution. The day after, 2 guys show up and take necessary actions to avoid this issue going forward. 2-3 hours of work for a very fair price. Can't say enough, these are the TOP guys out there. read more

We had recently moved into a new (85 year old) house, and were experiencing issues with gurgling drains and foul smells. We also had a kitchen sink that was not draining properly even after we plunged and snaked the line. My goal was to identify and resolve as many issues as possible, as quickly as possible. Robert came over, investigated the issues, and clearly explained them to us. We ended up having a few small problems and one significant problem, a sewer line that needed to be replaced. Finding an honest plumber isn't so easy. We recently added a new bathroom to a property we purchased, and about 80 feet of drain line needed to be roughed in along with fixtures and water lines. The cost was reasonable and transparent without any hidden fees, and the job was done correctly without taking any shortcuts. The plumber handled all the permits and supervised his workers appropriately. Few plumbers do rough in plumbing so I felt very grateful to find an honest company that does the work well. In the end, we liked the work so much asked him to install drainage and water lines for a washer/dryer. He responds promptly to text messages. I intend to continue using Robert in the future for all my plumbing needs. I should note that he is rapidly becoming very busy so plan accordingly if you need a job done soon. read more
