Father and son business and I came to them to have some jewel appliqué embellished jeans hemmed because I'm a petite 5'1 girly and it's hard to find jeans that fit! I called them on Easter weekend and they were about to close shop early for the holiday weekend but I caught them right before closing and they agreed to stay open just long enough for me to get there and drop off the jeans. I arrived and Mr. Imparali (their dad) stayed after just to measure my hem and then the tune around time was quick! Just a few days later we picked up the jeans and they even expedited it for us. I had a little trouble finding the suite the first visit. I associate the suite numbers with the floor level and assumed suite 110 was on the first floor. Upon arriving, if you enter the building from the entry facing Westheimer, he's up the stairs, quick right down the first corridor, and leaves his door open with a welcome mat. It's two quick rights if you walk out the 2nd floor from the elevator.

The person said the return time would only be an hour, so I quickly went over to the mall location. I just needed the pants hemmed, but when they asked if I wanted them brought in at the waist, I said I'd do that only if they could still be ready that day, She told me that actually neither would be finished that day, even though she had said the hem would take under an hour only 30mins prior on the phone call. Whatever. The tailor who measured me was pretty rude. I was charged an exorbitant $68. Despite him marking while they were on my body, the hem is 1-1.25 inches too short, which just fucks them up entirely, and they didn't create a seam at the hem. I just really did not expect a blind hem for $68. The stitching is ALL OVER THE PLACE and the sewing created puckering everywhere. I did a better job sewing when I was 12. When I finally wore them, I realized how bad they look. So disappointed.

It feels like they are well past their prime as a business, or maybe they are just over it. My recent experience was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. The woman who took my clothes was abrupt, impatient, and failed to fit the garments correctly during the initial consultation. Many hundreds of dollars later, the actual alterations were way below the standard of a professional tailor. When I returned to try on the completed items, several adjustments were clearly still needed. Instead of fixing them, I was dismissively told that "it was supposed to be like that." To make matters worse, the clothes weren't even pressed--they were just wound up and shoved into a plastic bag. On top of the awful quality and customer service, their prices are much higher than competing businesses in the area. After years of loyalty, I will not be returning. I strongly would not recommend.
