Quick trip to see what kinda yummy goodies Tjmaxx had. Went straight for coffee and syrups! They had a huge selection of coffee as always. I bought the Lavender syrup which is in right now at a great price. Also picked up salted Carmel. read more

The wait in line is ridiculous. There are 10 registers and only 3 are open. Waited in line for 30 minutes. Management here is a disaster.

TJ Maxx at the Forum in Selma deserves a one star rating for bad customer service. I found a pedicure set in the markdown section for about $3.50 and that it was a great deal. When I went to the checkout counter the clerk told me that the marked down price was from a different department and had another sales associate check on the item. We waited for about 5 min when the Sales associate came back with another item that was not the same but cost a dollar more and was not marked down. The clerk told me that this is the closest item and I would have to pay the higher price. Since I used to work in retail for a long time I knew that this is not the right way to handle the situation. You should not charge people more than the advertised price. I asked for the manager . When she arrived she spoke Spanish to the clerk, a language I don't speak nor understand . That is very impolite and unprofessional to do. She then told me I had to pay the higher price and I told her to keep the item. If this store continues to treat customers the way I was last Sunday they will not be in business much longer. read more

Rachael the manager of Clear Lake store was a superhero! Because of Covid protocols it was necessary to "buy" and return clothes since dressing rooms were/are closed! I was beyond the 30 day return policy but received credit without having to explain that I've got 7 kids, that I'm a homeschool mom & that 2 are graduating and one is getting married and that my life it a chaotic nightmare. I didn't have to melt down and cry. This professionalism & courtesy makes me more vigilant about NOT repeating MY mistake. So grateful. read more

I love TJ Maxx except for this specific location. We used a permanent bag (the cloth ones that you can buy and re-use). They insinuated that we stole, questioning where our items were from inside the bag despite the items being labeled with Ross stickers. Then, the product we were attempting to buy was labeled incorrectly and was actually more expensive than it was. They didn't honor the labeled price. The overall quality of customer service was bad, and I don't think my description matches its extent because the tone was rude as well. I'm not going back there. I normally don't care about leaving a bad review but I feel it's warranted. I shouldn't have to point out the Ross stickers and justify that the items aren't shoplifted. read more

First time at this location and it was clean and organized. We found 4 pairs of cargo shorts for my son for a little over $50-SCORE!!! We'd just left Old Navy spending over $70 for 2 pairs of cargo shorts and 2 pairs of sunglasses before coming into TJ Maxx so it was a relief to find the same things for cheaper. Our cashier, Angelica did not greet us or say anything to us during the transaction. She also had her shirt tied in the front showing her belly which I thought was really weird and unprofessional looking. Customer service needs some improvement but not all cashiers were this way. I heard other cashiers at registers 1&2 greet their customers. 3 stars for the bargain minus two for Angelica's attitude. read more

Anyone who knows me can appreciate that I'm a bargain hunter! I'm like a 32 year old soccer mom stuck in a brown man's body. I'll stop dead in my tracks if I see a sign for 50% off or the such at any of my favorite spots. This was one of the first places that got me into the mindset of finding "good fashion at good prices." I always find something I like here so the selection is never the problem, it always a matter of if they have my size or if the "deal" is sweet enough. Kinda sad I know... Aside the fashion, they have so much to offer regarding home goods. Before I got my own place, i remember frequenting TJ Maxx and finding so many cool things that I would soon need. The list ranges from name brand kitchenware like Le Creuset, Simple Human & Oxo to various knick knacks and glassware. This place has got it going on. I've been to the other similar discount stores but for me, none of them quite match up to TJ Maxx. This location specifically is also kept in tip top condition. I never see random shoes thrown about the store like other places nearby. My one small gripe is that their kid's clothing section is laughable. Anytime I take a couple minutes to see what I might like for my son, it feels like the section only has like 40 offerings and that's it. Even within those 40 items, the kind of clothing they offer is either really casual t-shirt kinda stuff or extremely overpriced Tommy Hilfiger kinda stuff. Where's the happy medium nice clothing for my kid? While the staff here mostly just seems beat up (I get it, I worked retail for a while) they are mostly a helpful lot and seem to at least try putting on a smile at the register. I do like that they don't try to force a credit card down my throat every time I buy something but of course they do try once every 3 or 4 times. With the competition making things so easy for them, I'll continue to spend my money here for quite some time! read more

Came here searching for a polo shirt I had seen awhile back but didn't want to spend the money for it at the time, after waiting a few weeks I returned ready to purchase the item. Upon entering I saw a ton more of the shirts I liked and even was able to find a beach hat for a reasonable price. I also scooped out the luggage section as I will be traveling very soon and doing so I saw very reasonable prices for very nice luggage. I ended up purchasing a pair of nikes, polo shirt and a Mitchell and ness PHX suns beach hat and left very pleased. Will be coming back for the luggage and backpack I saw before leaving for my trip in 3 weeks. Love this store and highly recommend it for young college students that want to look stylish but are ballin on a budget! read more

This is the cleanest, best-organized TJ Maxx I've ever been to in the country. I never leave without buying something. Sometimes, the prices are a wee bit high for what you are getting, but the choices are always eclectic. I never feel like I need a shower and a tetanus shot when I leave, which is the feeling I get when I pop into its rival discount store at the Forum, Ross. read more
