I had been fitted before so I knew what size I needed, however Guillermo introduced himself and offered his assistance. He was not pushy and asked enough questions that he was able to offer options on what I was looking for. I ended up only needed to try on 2 pairs before I fell in love and the correct size. Took my straw cowboy hat in to get fixed. The hat shaping desk is a very small area. The young man doing the hat fixing said he had two before mine. Said roughly 30mins. My kids and I walked around the store. Looked at absolutely everything we could. Everything was so expensive. We went back up to the desk. The young man was still on the other hats. So I said forget it and left. I live out of town so I didn't have time to wait even longer. read more

I was in the area thought to pick up some new work shoes. I go to the back, and there are tons! Boots, shoes, lace up, slip ons, and combinations of both. Unlike a traditional boot or shoe store, the boots are loose on the shelves and you need to find your matching pair. There is not a worker in the back asking if you need help. It was evident they were short staffed. I waited in line a half hour. They get your name and phone number. If you sign up with their program you can get points towards discounts much like other stores. I was able to get a birthday discount for signing up in my birth month. I would recommend. They had all the major, and minor brands that you generally see at work or just casual shoes as well. Good prices. read more

Great spot to get yourself some good quality boots at fairly good prices. They will price match local competition as well so be sure to do a little research to snag the best deals. Lots of merchandise always in stock and usually have some good sales going on at any point in the year. Living in Texas, it's almost a requirement to have a pair of cowboy boots. I held out as long as I could, but since it's Rodeo time, I caved in and went to Baskins on a friend's recommendation. I wanted a pair of boots that would be comfy right out of the box. Jan helped me find the perfect pair at a great price! I proudly wore my shiny new boots to the Rodeo last night and am going to wear them again today since it's freezing cold outside! Baskins has a great selection (especially for men) and their prices are reasonable. I can't compare them to Cavender's since I've never been to one, but all in all, I will be back for more boots in the future! The staff was very friendly and professional, too! read more

Not my favorite location. Went in looking for a couple of specific things. Half of the staff was helpful, the other half were chatting in the back corner while avoiding the patrons. The selection is not as plentiful as their store on the west side of 410. All of the boots I picked up were almost the same price despite being very different. A little disappointed with the visit. Horrible management, not one of the 5 sales representatives on the floor acknowledged nor asked if I needed help after fumbling thru small selection for 20mins decided I heard enough of sales people's awesome time night before. I called after I left asked for management and was left on hold for over 10mins and decided to just write a review. Very disappointed for trying out a new boot retailer. Needed help buying first pair of boots. No one could help me for about 35 min of me trying on and helping other customers because they needed help as well and no one was around. I figured out myself what I wanted but did need help in hats. Finally another customer with two kids found someone to help us and put them to work. Then I was fianlly helped. Def need more employees not just real cowboys walking the cowboy walk all around the store. I'm sure u are a real cowboy but I need help finding real boots. After buying my boots and my sons boots with great service I am very disappointed to say that I sent my wife in for boots and no one even acknowledged her. After 20 or 30 minutes she left and will not go back. Sorry Boot Barn none of us will be back.
