Returned a pair of work boots that were separating at the soles after wearing them for two weeks. It was obviuos they were defective but store policy is not toaccept returns if merchandise is used. So be careful of what you purchase if they come apart the next day they will not bend on returns. I tried going through the chain and no help. They have lost a loyal customer who use to love to shop there. read more

I understand asking people if they need help, but asking me 5+ times in less than the 5 minutes I was in the store is ridiculous. I was on the phone trying to show my boyfriend shoes and when I entered I was greeted which is no problem, I then automatically go to the section in which I know the shoes he wants are located (takes me approximately 4 seconds) then i'm asked if I need help by the lady who was already checking out a customer. I ignore because I'm assuming no way she stopped converting with current customer to ask me if i need help, to then hear her ask me louder which I say no i'm just looking, then once she was finished checking out lady i get asked AGAIN within a minute or two, I say no. Within the 3 minutes im in there I had already been spoken to on 4 separate occasions. As i'm talking to my boyfriend going back and forward showing him the shoes a different guy approaches me asking if I needed help, to which I say no thanks I already know what i'm here for. I then continue to look and show my boyfriend the shoes, and the original lady came up to me to ask me if i was looking to try on anything. I had already mentioned to my boyfriend if they bugged me one more time i was going to leave and within 5 seconds of me saying that she had came up to me again. I immediately left the store after how ridiculous it was to be bothered that much after how clear my "no's" were in their offer of being helped. Even my boyfriend felt frustrated on my behalf. I was in the store for LESS than 5 minutes and already asked SEVERAL times if i needed something. I totally understand that this is their job, but sometimes it's okay to leave people alone who are VERY clear about just wanting to be left alone. I would've ended up buying something if i had just been given the space to look. My boyfriend already knew his size and what he wanted he was just making a last minute decision but i wasn't given any chance to even talk to him for more than a minute without being interrupted. I genuinely am not one to be so upset about things like this nor leave negative reviews, but it was so ridiculous and so pushy it pushed me away from buying anything at all. Instead we decided to just order them online and wait a little longer because of how wild it was to be averaging a little over 1 question for every minute I was in the store. read more

I walked into the store, and right away Trayvon greeted me with a big smile. I told him I was shoe shopping for my elderly father waiting in the car who has very small feet and had a lot of trouble walking. To my surprise, they carried a Men's size 7, but only in certain styles. I took pictures of options, went outside to show my Dad. He liked the black pair. After getting both my parent's out of the car with walkers and canes in hand, I saw Tayvon, the wonderful sales associate holding the door open for us. He had already gotten size 7 shoes out and ready for my Dad. He took the time to lace them for him, and gently placed a shoe in his foot. My Dad loved the stability and comfort and bought the shoes. Tayvon made the shopping experience easy and fast for us, which I appreciated, after driving to a previous shoe store in the heat. Trayvon could write a book on excellent customer service. Great experience here. Skyla took great care of us. She used NB's high tech evaluator that indicated my son was flat footed, has a pronation, and has wide feet. My son put on these shoes and felt immediate relief. They aren't cheap but we've been long time fans and feel that they are worth the buy. I can't say enough about Skyla. We went in here for the first time today but we didn't buy anything. My husband is extremely indecisive when it comes to his shoes. But the young gentleman who helped us out did a wonderful job! He came over and started explaining all the differences and benefits of the different shoes without us even having to ask him. He was ready to help but then understood when it was time to back off to let us look and decide. It is so hard to find people who are willing to provide great customer service these days and I appreciated him being so friendly and helpful. I bought a pair for $170, my wife wanted to buy a pair but the salesman brought out a 71/2 even though she had told him previously a7. Of course the shoe was too big. He never offered the right size. We have received great service from Sarah in the past, this time it was terrible. I've spent probably $3000 at this store. I won't be back. So I bought a brand new pair of 990s and use them only on clean occasions and never for work. It became obvious that one of them had some kind a defect where it did not bend like the other side. When I try to return them I was met with poor customer service and uncaring attitude. I had all I could do to keep from throwing them on the sidewalk in front of the store. They look brand new and it was obvious I had not use them. I found the demeanor of the store associate to be a palling and not apologetic. I was passed a 30 day return Mark and Buzz met with this test. Let the record show I have bought nine pair of shoes at this store for my work and I have brought three other people to the store to purchase shoes. Never again. Worst customer service experience ever!! The employees Skyla, Briana, and Tavon where rude, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional. I tried to return items that were new and unworn and they would not accept the return insinuating that the items were stolen since I didn't have the receipt. They illegally mishandled my personal identifiable information and continuously raised their voices, ignored me, and walked away from me while I was talking. Several times I was told they were closing early and that I needed to leave their store so they could help their customers, I guess I was not considered a customer. When I asked them for the supervisor they said he would not come to the store and there was no way to contact him or corporate. As a disabled woman of color I felt discriminated against and will not be returning. I will stick to the Quarry and huebner locations where the staff is better equipped to handle the needs of their customers. read more

Literally the best customer service I've ever received. I got Bill as my sales rep and he was so knowledgeable. I walked in there thinking I knew what I needed, but with his help I was able to be pointed in the right direction and he left all of the decision making up to me. So I walked out of there with a wonderful pair of shoes and orthotics, and I will be going back as soon as I need a new pair of shoes. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. First off let me say this I'm not a person to go out of my way to write negative reviews but if this isn't a worthy reason I don't know what is. 4/21/17 I was parked in front of the new balance store waiting on my husband to finish up some business in T Mobile. My son being two spilt a milkshake in my car. As I attempted to clean the mess I sat the cup outside of my car on the ground to finish cleaning up, and planned on taking them to the trash as soon as my husband returned. A few seconds later an employee from new balance walked out of the store and began yelling and waving her hands at me. My sons window was down and I could here her saying to pick up your trash now. I didn't even respond as I was in shock I was being yelled at by an employee of a store. Not to mention she left customers inside the store to blatently verbally disrespect me. A couple of minutes later he returned, as I was taking the trash to the trash can she flipped me off from inside the store with customers present, my husband in son watching the entire thing. At this point I am livid. I walk in and say how about you mind your own business. She turns around and ignores me. As soon as I left I attempted to call the store to ask for the district managers number. I was rudely accused by George the manager of lying and that a detective with the sapd was called and would be writing me a ticket. Come to find out this was not true at all. He also proceeded to defend her actions. I am astounded that new balance lets there employees behave in this rude and condescending manner to people and potential customers. As far as the products are concerned I can't speak on that subject, but in regards to there customer service I give them an F. I have filed a report with the police department and contacted corporate about this incident. read more

My husband wears New Balance shoes and we have used this location for several purchases in the past. We now use the Quarry location due to poor customer service here. They had (It has been a while since we have used this location) a few grumpy men working here that seemed put out by questions we asked. Although they were knowledgeable they were not pleasant with their responses. read more

I purchased a pair of shoes from this company style # 990. I have used them for the past two months and these are by far the worst tennis shoes I have ever purchased. They are very uncomfortable to walk in. Further more they are not cheap. They cost 160.00. read more

My experience at this store was excellent. I told the salesgirl what I was looking for. She had me walk on a treadmill and recorded my gate to check for any irregularities. I then stepped on a sensor which showed any pressure spots on my feet. Then she measured my feet and came out with 3 pairs of shoes which I tried on and walked around in. I purchased the one I liked best, there was no pressure and I then bought 4 pairs of socks. All in all a very pleasant experience. I would go back again. read more
