I walked in with the intentions to actually make a purchase or two at T.j.maxx but clearly my funds weren't to be spent at the jewelry counter here with piss poor customer service and this chick looked at me more than once but NEVER UTTERED A SOUND. I guess as the customer YOU have to say something to the staff first. If not they walk around as zombies just in work mode. I just walked and observed the entire Slew of employees weren't Extroverted. This TJMaxx is connected to Home Goods. I don't know when the last time I visited both together. I happened to see the Coordinator stop by the register that I was at and I expressed my concerns. The young lady worked on sorting out the inventory boxes before saying, Do you need help Ma'am or Miss or just pretending to wannabe helpful would've been a nice touch. I know people use their representatives to get outside jobs today. My thing is if you know that you don't know How to interact with people then work in SOLITUDE. I absolutely adore TJ Maxx but.... My biggest pet peeve is the horrendous line that is always always always present at this store. To make matters worse there is always 2 or 3 people always milling about behind the cashiers. I understand they are probably doing go backs and such but, when the line is 30 deep you open a register and help these cashiers out. If you need to give some holiday gifts this is the place! They have a lot of cute designer gift sets! The only thing that I'd say is I wish they had extra / separate cash registers . The one I go to on Sahara is connected to home goods so the lines can be very long, where they can end up past the entrance sometimes! The shelves are clean and organized. The staff in the store were stocking and reorganizing areas that were empty. My only issue that everyone else is complaining about is their long lines. They had plenty of staff on the floor that could have moved to the registers if they were cross trained to do so. Only 4 people at the register and about 20 in line is nuts. We wanted to check out with two items and we just watched her check out other people with other items that were from the clothing area, but refused to check us out, unless we purchased jewelry. Over the years I've seen that they have a lot of things to choose from. The service though the other day was pretty bad. I asked someone for help, they said 'hold on', left and never came back. I had a very bad experience with cashier Gayane. I brought some glass items how they were wrapped at the store to returned them to avoid to break them. As soon as I unwrapped them she rolled her eyes. Then, I provided by error a receipt that did not included the items I was returning. Instead of asking, do you have another receipt? I do not see the items you are returning in this one. She pressed a bottom and a supervisor was there immediately. She made me feel horrible. Like a thief. I realize I had made a mistake and hand over the correct one. It was very traumatic and felt a lot of anxiety. So, if you go to the store at Sahara and Hualapai and you get cashier Gayane stir away from her. Her bedside manners are horrible and she make judgements of people without proof. read more

Blonde older lady - manager of home goods section of TJ Max has horrible customer service skills. We asked if it was a possibility for an item to be marked down due to snags and she continually said to us in the most condescending tone "I'm not going to mark the item down" "I'm not going to mark the item down". She then cut the snags off which she considered "manufacturing snags" which was fine, whatever. Was just a question, I wasn't begging. She totally acted like the 10% damage discount would be coming out of her paycheck. However, my issue was how she was talking down to us AND THEN my husband saw her go over to another associate and laugh about how she told us she wasn't going to mark the item down and how ridiculous we were Lol The cherry on top -on our way out they had set a big rug by the door we had purchased so we could pick it up and we were having trouble finding which one was ours. She just stood there and watched us look for it until the other associate finally asked our name. I don't know how or why this lady is in management when 1. She obviously hates people and 2. she has absolutely no customer service skills. This is easily my least favorite TJ Maxx location, solely due to the absolutely ridiculous checkout line every single time I come here. It is completely normal to wait 30 minutes to check out. What's even worse is that even if you just come in for a return, they don't have a separate line for returns like the other TJ Maxx locations do. So you have to wait in line with everyone checking out just to do a simple return. It's disappointing because this location is the closest to my house, but I do everything I can to avoid coming here. This is a shopper's paradise because it has Home Goods and TJ Maxx. There is so much merchandise to look at. I especially like the Kitchen goods and finding good deals on things like Hand Soap and Pantry items. It can get crowded and the line to the Cashiers is always long on most days; but it moves fairly quickly. read more

Who doesn't love a good, clean, and nicely stock TJ Maxx?!?!? I do!! And this store appeared to be a larger brick & mortar store, (I'm not sure if this is because there s a Home Goods store directly connected.) Great finds, the merchandise is plentiful, and even tidy and fronted. BUT.....the line in this store is ridiculously LONG!!!! On a Sunday, there are 6 cashiers and 71 patrons ready to checkout! If you go, make sure to not be in a rush, just take some time. You could very well be waiting and hour or so for checkout. read more

I'm leaving two stars! Two for the nice kid that helped us and zero stars for the worthless manager that was on duty! She needs to learn some serious people skills if she's going to be in management. The was she was treating customers and the employees was done in such a condescending manner! We went to purchase a trash can and unfortunately the wood top had a big chip out of it and there was a big dent in the back! We asked if they could mark it down since it was already damaged and the condescending manager gave us $.99 off a $50 trash can. Did not even look at us or took the time to say one word to us! I am so disappointed in how she handled this in front of her employees. She was an older Caucasian lady with blonde hair and quite a few wrinkles. We were in on Saturday at 1:30pm. The store was organized well as usual and clean environment. But the cashier was shockingly rude. I was at cashier #6. She was a Hispanic lady with blonde hair. I said Hi to her and she didn't respond. I was about to purchase a luggage, so I lifted them to the counter and she gave me the weird look. After she scanned the item, she kept silent and pushed the luggage to me to take it off the counter. Wow. I felt she was so rude, but I didn't want to argue with her so I waited for her until she scanned my other purchases. But while she slowly scanned the items, she kept giving me weird eye contact directly with silence. I was like, what is wrong with her? I thought maybe she's deaf or she has a disability. Cause she doesn't talk at all until that. But later, she FINALLY talked, and she asked me do I had a TJ Maxx card. Guess what, she's not deaf. She was just being rude. I answered, Yes I do have a card then she started to keep silent mode. She doesn't tell me the final amount, she doesn't say goodbye or anything. Also, she fills the bag of my purchase way too full. The bag almost tore off. I've put them in the cart cause she forced me to take them off of the counter. And she handed me the last product she scanned without a bag. Like, hand to hand. (She also kept silent and weird look) after I'd paid, she turned her back and started to talk to her coworker. What a rude. Tjmaxx should not hire the employees like that. I love to shop at TJ Maxx, I think it's one of the best brands in the States. Always satisfied with the product and have a great deal as always. Today I walked in for a return, after waiting in line I was greeted by a young man. My return needed to be approved or something so a lady named Mary walks up and doesn't even say hello. Just rudely starts looking through all of my merchandise and starts asking me where I bought it and if it was purchased at their store. She started accusing me of something that I didn't even understand and didn't allow me to return my merchandise. She said I can return it to wherever I got it from or call corporate. First off, I purchased my merchandise at this location, had my receipt, and the card I used, yet she still didn't let me return my stuff. The young man was very nice, but i'm not sure what Mary's problem is. I asked to speak with a manager, but she refused and said she's the manager when her name tag clearly said coordinator. This was a horrible experience and makes me not want to go back. This needs improvement. read more

I went to the one on Sahara by Hualapai..they have a section in the back called The Runway, higher end designers at lower prices, such beautiful pieces! Now, in this section, you will pay 80.00 for one top but, it is higher end & still cheaper than if you bought it at Neiman's or Saks. My Mom loves all the TJs around town. She just happens to be asking me right now if I can drop her off at the farther TJ on my way to the gym. Our nearest TJ/Homegoods is still her favorite though. The lines at checkout get super long. Especially during the Holidays. Most of the time they have so many registers open that the line still goes pretty quickly though. Today's experience at the register was a nightmare! GAYANE, the cashier, showed impatience in her face and body language. She persisted in saying that I need to hurry and pay for my items, because there are more people waiting in line. I told her I am looking for my rewards email so I can use it and it took me maybe a few minutes. Even though I told her, she still didn't want to wait and suggested I use it some other time since she was eager to ring me up. I then asked her to get a manager to wait on me, because she was making me feel uncomfortable. The worst part was other customers thought I was giving her a hard time and tried to defend her. I asked for her name so I can put a review on Yelp and apparently according to the customers who tried to get involved said no one cares about Yelp reviews. Today is one of those days where I was in such a hurry to enjoy the outdoors that I forgot something important. It was my belt. By the time I got to Peet's Coffee it was apparent that I forgot to wear my belt. Then by the time I left Peet's it was apparent that I was going to have to buy a belt. Just up Town Center Boulevard where Peet's is, there is a relatively new shopping center featuring TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, and Stein's. These three softline retailers that sell belts. At the same time that this was kind of an emergency, I was not up to spending Macy's prices on a belt. My intention was to purchase an inexpensive belt that I would put on immediately then keep in my trunk to prevent a future repeat situation. Evidently TJ Maxx was the wrong choice. They feature a paltry selection of belts. Despite the fact that this is supposed to be a discount softlines retailer, their belt prices are in the Macy's price range. $50 for a Calvin Cline belt!? Cmonn! There prices started off at $14.99. In this situation, I was foolish to be picky. However, their limited selection of belts failed to include a size 34 or 36. Based on their belt selection, I am so not impressed. Good thing for competition. After leaving the retailer, I'd walk a few doors down to Burlington Coat Factory where I picked up a size 34 belt for $9.99 and ditched an awkward situation. read more

This TJ Maxx is connected to a Homegoods in a good location with an array of merchandise to purchase. Unfortunately the store is under staffed. Again today I left without any purchases and watched a number of other shoppers leave full carts behind. Customers waiting in a Disneyland type line to pay looked frustrated, I saw two get out of the line and leave. With all the missed sales attributed to a lack of cashiers it would make sense to offer better pay to workers and during the heavy trafficked times have managers working the registers also. According to workers and customers this is a well known problem at this location. Little wonder retail stores are closing and online sales are booming! read more

I legit love this place, more than any other! The more I come, the more I love it. Yes, prices can be a tad high but still reasonable. So many more products than other places (better selection of cat stuff than Petco or Petsmart, and slightly cheaper). I come here for candle and teas mostly but have really been liking all the home decor stuff. Even got some hippie crystals, way cheaper than at a crystal/alternative/witch shop, just sayin'. Also, when things are on sale, at the cash register, its not automatic, so make sure your cashier is manually discounting your items. I had to wait a short eternity to get back in line as I realized the discounts weren't applied. Also, there is a thing here in Las Vegas, where you'll get approached by a young person - another customer, telling you about this wealthy young couple who retired at 26. On 1/23/2020 I visited a TJ Max about 10 miles from this store. I found a coat I wished to purchase but they didn't have my size. The very friendly cashier suggested I visit this store on SAHARA since they will always deliver the same items. Good idea I head to Summerlin, found the coat in my size but it is more expensive. After explaining to the manager the difference in price and asking for a$5. Reduction. She said "We do not price match". Her explanation is the buyers may have paid more from a different vendor. Really it's price gouging. The store is in a more affluent area and they can take advantage of those that a shop there. Very disappointed, I have not used the coat. I visit this location about once every several weeks. It's hit or miss if I find something that I want. There is a 'health & beauty' section to the left of the floor plan within the clothing section. So much to choose from and organized rather well. Definitely a place where one can find brand name items to create a gift basket, or just for personal use. The right side of the store provides 'home goods', including boxed or canned specialty food items. The prices are competitive, and I've found some really good bargains. You need to know your prices or at least check your smart phone when shopping here to know when you've found a bargain. The isles could stand to be a little wider, but if they did that then they couldn't pack in so much stuff. Just be careful around the glass art section! Oddly enough, they placed kids' toys directly across from the glass art. The wait in line was trying on my patience. That is the downside to the experience. You go shopping and hope you can get to the registers when the line is short. If not, expect to be waiting for a while. They had about five people working registers this time. There was also a lady at the front of the line asking each customer if they have a store credit card (I find that annoying but that's their marketing choice). The store has the check out set up so that while you're waiting to check out there are two isles of merchandise flanking you so to give you something to occupy your time while waiting and in hopes to get you to purchase more stuff. And this was appx 3;30pm on a weekday. Now if I saw cashiers actually trying to go quicker but I sat there and watched and it was like each one was trying to take as long as possible so they wouldn't have to call the next. Today, after waiting 25 mins in line (and they had called up maybe 4 people in line) I put my stuff down and left. Never ever again. And I hope my Summerlin neighbors read this and be warned.
