It's in a great location and has been a frequent stop for quick grabs when downtown for events, walks, etc. Selection for clothing is broad, but toys and household items are a little limited. I've old is TJ Maxx is very clean, it has a very limited selection of everything. The men's section is two racks worth of clothing with very unimpressive styles. I would not recommend making the effort to come to the store, nor this mall which has for the most part been closed down. read more

Was so happy when this location opened back up! There isn't much shopping downtown (sure hope that will change at some point) outside of the mall so having this location is a treat. Parking can be a pain, I rode around the block twice to find a spot and of course since it's a meter you will have to pay. Once inside it's great. Good selection of home items and clothes. Prices seem on par with the other locations. Plenty if staff around for question. The dressing rooms are open and ready for use. The lines aren't overly long like some of the other locations, and they move quickly. Very pleased and happy to have them back open and in business. read more

As the new school year approached, I made a random decision to stop at TJMaxx downtown on a whim with my teenager. It would be the best decision I'd made in a long time. Not only do I abhor shopping malls, but I have a hard time paying retail for anything. Luckily, I've passed that discount gene down and my mini, while at that name brand age was also taking note of prices as she shopped. We loaded up a cart of jeans, carefully selected tops, some new intimates and a pair of Nikes. We paid no more than $16 for a pair of jeans, which afforded her the opportunity to select more of what she wanted, while keeping our budget in check. We spent the afternoon bonding as she modeled and twirled in the dressing room, with a thumbs up or down. Fast forward two hours, my meter had expired and I'd received a ticket, but it was all worthwhile to see the smile and appreciation after making her choices on her new 8th grade wardrobe. Thais location AHS truly proven to be hit or miss. It's a huge location but sometimes just full of stuff I am not interested in. Tonight proved to be an exciting exception bc I found an item from one of my favorite brands: French Connection UK aka. "FCUK"! I was so stoked bc that's never in a TJ MAXX, I had to buy haha, luckily they weren't closed yet when I arrived on a Sunday, they closed @7p, and I got there at 6:50. It's a decent Tj Maxx. Not the best one, but not the worst one. Pros: - It's big. There's a lot of stuff from clothes to gifts to home goods. - The proximity to Circle Centre. Nice to be able to walk to the mall from the tunnels. - I almost always find SOMETHING that I like. Cons: - It's big. I have a hard time finding stuff because it's so large. - It's usually packed. The shirts are so close to each other on the racks that it's hard to look through them. - It's old and feels sorta dingy. Not the same vibe as many of their stores. For an out of towner this location is hard to find. Parking is awful. Store was ok. However, the employees not so much. The manager would do well in sending his employees to charm school. Over 8 people waiting to check out and three cashiers. One was flirting with a customer and simply ignoring the growing line. You will know this one by her excessive makeup. A fine TJ Maxx conveniently located downtown, which is where I prefer to spend my money. It's set in a historic building where I imagine myself in another era perusing the isles with some sort of fanciful air about me. Places like these are worth supporting, in my opinion, for their charm and willingness to be repurposed. The sales are decent and finding a good deal has more to do with you being knowledgeable about top mass-produced fashion brands than the store giving you a true deal. Some of the brands you will find for the same price at Nordstrom Rack (which can always be found for cheaper online), and others will truly allow you to express your inner Maxionista. If you're all about the hunt and flexing your bargain shopping muscles, then you have to check out this store before you go straight to the mall. It's not a one-stop shop so in order to truly take advantage of this store you will need to frequent often and take mental note of the quality of item and the asking price. This place is best for business professional, work-out items, bags and shoes. The houseware is hit and miss and the beauty products are sparse. Today I bought a comforter, walked home carrying it, and found the security tag was attached. Okay, simple mistake. Walked back. Waited in line again. Politely asked a cashier to remove it. But she was too busy flirting with another customer, asking him about his accent and batting her lashes. So I asked another cashier. Then as I walked away with my tagless purchase (no one having acknowledged the inconvenience to me) the first cashier had the audacity to call "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!" behind my back. Love this downtown Indy TJ Maxx location. I visit this store practically once a week after work. It located in a historic building, across the street from the Conrad Hotel and adjacent from the Circle Center mall. If you have a desire to save money, it is a wonderful place to purchase a bargain deal. Part of finding a good bargain, is having patience - and you will need it in the store. I usually take my time going thru each aisle in order to find something I need --- or usually in my case, something that I didn't event know I needed in my life. Case in point, I went to store to purchase a scented candle for my home and left with designer sun glasses, body lotion/soaps (that I recognized being included in BirchBox) and workout gear. One of my favorite isle in the TJ Maxx store is their food section. This is were you can find brands like Stone Wall Kitchen and items like white truffle oil. There have been several items offered here at half the price (or lower) than other stores (I'm looking at you Williams Sonoma). This is one of my favorite stores in Downtown Indy and I have really become a devout "Maxxinista". read more

I like having a TJ Maxx downtown. It just gets a lot of traffic so sometimes it can be picked over, and of course, finding a meter to park can be challenging. I still enjoy going to this location, and I still do manage to spend plenty of money here. I wasn't too happy with the jewelry counter on my most recent visit. I stood there waiting to be helped while the associate was helping another customer. She walked away from the counter leaving me standing there for seriously 5 minutes. She came back and apologized for the wait. I had a pair of earrings that had no price and asked for a price. She looked at the rack to try to find another pair or the same brand (I had already done that). She said she didn't see a price. No kidding, that's why I'm asking you. Then there was just dead air. Crickets. So, I asked about another pair in the case. She pulled them out, and no price. She said well those don't have a price on them either. Again, dead air. I'm waiting to hear that she will check on it or get a price. Is the stuff just there to display, or is it for sale? Finally, she said she would have to call a manager to see about getting a price. This store can be addictive. Over time, I have become hooked on this store. It has become my after yoga ritual twice a week. The thrill of finding good quality items at a low price has me hooked! Apart from that, this store is located in the center of downtown Indianapolis. It can be easily assessed through the circle center mall if you don't want to walk outside, and it is only a few steps from the monument circle. Inside of the store is always clean and organized. They have a nice collection of items, mostly cloths. I can't believe the items I have found at this store at reduced prices. My most treasured finds are a Ralph Lauren rug, and a pair of the most comfortable Toms shoes. My favorite spot is the clearance section at the back of the store. It's like a treasure hunt to me. I can easily spend hours in this store, even though shopping isn't my favorite thing to do. The ambience and music just makes one feel comfortable. Now, patience is key. Not everything is truly a bargain, so you have to be smart and do a price comparison on your smart device, and also be patient going through their inventories to find a treasure item. read more

Only thing about the circle centre mall that I enjoy. Can find stuff at lower prices. Very easy to get distracted by all the cool stuff there. Very nice variety of different things at affordable prices. Can be a hit or miss though. Some things can have something wrong with them which is why they are so cheap. There're are days where stuff doesn't change and can get boring. Best to go when they get new stuff in. The stuff will add up quickly though if you are not careful haha read more

I forgot my running shorts so I ran next door from the hotel to ATJ Maxx. Store was clean. Running shorts were easy and convenient and quick to find. Check out was fine. The shorts had a major hole in the pocket which seems pretty ridiculous. But for 10 bucks they were throwaway shorts anyway. Good pricing but not very good quality product. read more

As much as I love the Marshall's in Nora, I loathe this TJ Maxx location. The customer service is nonexistent, the selection is very once over, and they never have what I'm looking for, be it a tie, drawls, dress socks, they never have a good variety. In addition, the store itself is usually dirty and disheveled. The location is not convenient, although you can get there from indoors if you go through the mall and are staying at one of the attached hotels. I just have never had a good experience or scored anything worth my while at this place. read more

I freaking LOVE this store. I used to shop here at least once or twice a week. My loft was on the 8th floor of the building that houses this TJ Maxx on the bottom level. It was so much fun traveling down to the store by elevator or escalator just to look for random things that I might like to have. From home furnishings such as cool looking glass vases, bottles, jars, wall decor to marked down clothing that saved you over 15 bucks or more from buying them at Nordstrom or another store down the street. You also can find a lot of great kitchenware as I was obsessed with having nice top of the line looking utensils, cookware, and whatever that went into my kitchen :) read more
