This was one of my wife's favorite stores on the planet. Finally, I gave it a try. Now, it is one of my favorites too!

I think this is the closest store to the college and I went on a day when the kids were coming back…read morefrom winter break or starting their new quarter. It was pretty busy but the staff was working diligently to get the line moving. Kudos to them. The store was well stocked and had everything my student needed. Lots of parking as well!

Went into Springfield Target for a couple things. Most important was some facial cleanser. I…read morenoticed most of these items are under lock & key. I found what I needed and there was a service button to push for help getting merchandise(locked up). I waited and waited, decided to push the button on the machine in the next aisle ( incase 1st wasn't working). Finally girl came & I got my item. I also needed some nail polish . I wasn't in a hurry & decided to browse the store a bit before I checked out. After about 30 minutes, I went to the ladies room. Not wanting to bring unpaid merchandise into, I set it on a shelf across from the Starbucks, thinking it would be safe for 5 minutes. Well, unfortunately it was not. I came out and it was no where insight. I assumed someone was watching me and stoled it! I was pissed I wasted my time! I could have gone back to cosmetics and gone through all that again but I chose screw this.... I'll go to Fred Meyers! I know theft is out of control, especially Target for some reason. I was in this same store in August with my daughter. She needed to try on clothes. No one working back in the women's dressing rooms. The dressing room was full of clothes & I removed them. There was an enormous pile of tags that looked like ripped off from items. To me it looked like someone went into that dressing room with a pile of items & tore all the tags/tickets off and probably walked out the store. There are dishonest people out there, but Target needs to do a better job. There should have been staff working back there cleaning out dressing rooms and helping customers. While I was waiting for my daughter, several customers were waiting for open dressing rooms. All the doors were closed. Customers didn't know if rooms were open or not. I will say the entire dressing area was a mess! Maybe a perfect setup for thefts !

I am an 82 year old female looking for an air fryer. I asked Sharon at the checkout where I might…read morefind airfryers. She said they were upstairs. Upstairs I saw Jack and asked if he knew about air fryers. He said yes. I showed him which one I wanted but there was no price. He scanned it and told me the price but said there would be coupons at checkout. Jack carried it down for me where Sharon took off coupons so I saved $45.00!!! Jack then carried it out to my car. I'd call all of that excellent customer service!! 5 stars!

My favorite section of this store is the clearance section, as they are always 50-80% off the retail price. So I've found $40 items for like $5. I've bought a bunch of shirts and sweaters on clearance here. The home section is good too. I've bought some cool kitchen stuff in here, candles, holiday decorations, and more. I'm typically not a huge fan of the shoe section. Just because I never find anything I can't live without there. My husband loves to check out their section of Oregon Duck gear. The store is always clean. That's never a problem. The racks could be spaced apart a little farther, as it seems claustrophobic at times. That's honestly my biggest complaint. Employees are a bit scarce as well. I never see any unless they are at the cash registers. So if you need something, good luck finding someone. They keep the metal pole things to get stuff off high racks stashed around the store, and you're never too far from one. So you just have to look for them. I know this, so I never have a problem with it. But if you're not familiar with where they are, finding someone to help you reach something can be frustrating and annoying. Being short, this is always a problem for me. The cashiers are so-so. They push the credit card thing really hard. I would presume it has something to do with how their performance is evaluated or something big, so they are required to push it. Sometimes they can be downright rude and hostile if you don't want their card. They ask, I give an excuse, they argue. Pull another excuse, another argument, followed by them trying to convince you, bla bla bla. Finally by the time you are agitated enough to snap at them, they back off. But they will harass you until you get pissed enough to yell at them over it. This is the worst part of the experience, and what keeps it at 3 stars. The store and the sales are worth 4 stars, but the cashiers who push the credit cards is what keeps it at 3 stars. I really wish they weren't required to be so pushy about it, and make it a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it's not. If I could do self checkout, it would totally make 4 stars. Lol. I will definitely keep returning to this store to buy home decorations, clearance items, Duck gear for my husband, and much more.

Claps to a grocery store for getting a 4-star review. Most aren't worth 2-star reviews…read more This became our grocery store of choice while we lived in the Eugene-Springfield metro. PROS: Clean... I mean, this tends to be a struggle with many stores. They do a nice job of keeping it clean. Organized... typically you find stores that are messy and not well stocked... this FM does a great job of staying stocked and organized. CONS: Staff is lacking. The self check-out is a mess. A dang hot mess. The computers don't work most of the time, you're always needing assistance and having to wait. There are never any of the little carts available... because they're scattered all over the parking lot. NEUTRALS: You'll likely smell an employee smoking grass in the back of the store. Always an interesting experience to smell active pot in a grocery store. Funny, we've been there twice now where management is actively working in the aisles, suffocating in the green fog, no one does a dang thing about it. Guess it is just Oregon? The management is obviously lacking at this location. Truly, a change in management would yield this store a 5-star grocery store in Springfield, Oregon.

Today we got plants and craft supplies. All the while we also picked up some stuff at the pharmacy. Can't beat Fred Meyer for convenience and value.
