(Both are super boutiques, with similar aesthetics. This G+G shop is perhaps a bit more "bohemian" in its focus and caters more to a young adult female demographic). There were lots of "Free People" clothing items here, and artisan jewelry pieces. They also carried some cosmetic/make-up and skincare lines (I think they were all organic), and lots of women's fashion accessories (bags, scarves, etc.). I had the feeling this was a smaller, more intimate take on an "Anthropologie" shop - and certainly more local!

Because you need that when you want all this stuff, which you will, because it's all so cute and you feel sexy. Here's the part that seals the deal: These ladies care. They are friendly and bubbly and nice. They give you actual advice ("Does this make my butt look weird?" "Well, yes, let's try this other thing." OK that is what I WANT.) I am lousy with names. So I'm going with appearances.... Beautiful white girl with black hair and purple/green color in it, you are awesome. Your name starts with a K and I am so sorry that I didn't write it down. You are da bomb. You helped me and gave me advice and brought me something and then actually told me what looked better and I bought that because you were spot on. Beautiful black girl with blonde dreads and a big smile who loves Harry Potter, you are da bomb because you helped with discounts and we talked and laughed and you just made me smile and feel beautiful too. You complimented me on my outfit that I came in wearing and believe me, you made my day with that compliment. I think you rock. Ok no one think that was racist. I just had to try to identify people because I didn't write down names. Both of these ladies are gorgeous and professional and know styles and are willing to tell you what looks good and to steer you to the right direction *without trying to upsell you* for more money. That is why I come back. I bought a cute pair of jeans from them because revolve was sold out. They sent me used or worn jeans because the tag that is sewn in was missing and the white strings were hanging out. But I shouldn't have to pay shipping when I'd keep these pants had they not been worn, stretched out etc... I would have probably not made a fuss had customer service even tried to rectify the situation. But not calling me back. And not emailing me back a label. I will NEVER buy from here. If you come here frequently, that's how you can get the best deals, because you never know what new product they will be getting in! Nordstrom Rack has pretty much everything clothing and accessory-wise that you could need: pajamas, exercise apparel, outerwear, jewelry, bags, shoes, and more. And oh, the shoes. I've gotten Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, and Marc Jacobs shoes here before. If there's something I've bought here more than anywhere else, it would be shoes. They have a good selection, and if you don't see what you like at this particular location, you can always order something on Nordstromrack.com, which has a wider selection. Say that pair of shoes you ordered from the website doesn't fit? No big deal; you can bring them here to return, and there's a 90 day return policy. My latest trip here was unplanned. I was out doing errands and grocery shopping, and my umbrella broke. And of course since it's Eugene, a torrential downpour started. Rather than risk the chance of my purse getting ruined from the rain, I stopped in here before I headed over to Trader Joe's to look for an umbrella. And sure enough, they had a variety of umbrellas to choose from! I ended up getting a good quality umbrella here for $12.99, whereas the cheapest umbrellas across the way at Bed, Bath and Beyond were $18.99. Not to mention, my new green chevron print umbrella is far cuter than the plain black ones at BBB. In a city with a sad excuse for a mall (the Valley River Center, that is), this is one of the few places where you can get good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, and more.
