(I checked with BY themselves.) Then Paul Schatz negotiated a price with us: I made the salesman an offer, she went and checked with the manager, came back and said ok, I repeated the offer to ensure there was no misunderstanding, she agreed, and we shook hands. But then Schatz refused to honor that price. Said that the whole conversation and handshake had never happened. A LIE! Then they said over the phone that it didn't matter because they had decided not to do business with us. BY is located in North Carolina. Found a furniture store near them and that store is selling us the same pieces and shipping them to us for more than 20% less than Paul Schatz was willing to do it. Don't ever, EVER give these guys your business. Unethical stores don't deserve to be in business.

This way no one sits on your couch! our couch arrived exactly in time and we paid when it was delivered. The delivery gentlemen put felting on the bottoms of couch legs to protect our new wooden floor. We also received a lovely card and a gift! Homemade Carmel candies. I want to buy all my furniture here. All of the furniture is made out of quality high end materials and if they are having a sale you should take advantage! Not only do they HIGHLY undervalue items but they also destroyed property moving furniture out. A 7 foot long scratch was left on a wood floor, with a witness there to see it occur. Their reaction when they were called about it was that we are paying the witness to lie. What business owner reacts this way? So when you go in there and see all the items, remember.....they take advantage of people in their grief, and are extremely unprofessional in all capacities. I would rather donate my things next time to someone grateful for it, rather than someone trying to take advantage and ruin my property without so much as an apology. They have really good condition, high quality, solid wood, vintage furniture for shockingly low prices. I seriously bought a dresser, a coffee table, two end tables and a desk AND had them delivered for under $700. I shopped around too. I am aware of the prices, quality and selection at other used and new furniture stores in Eugene. This store is a freaking gem. Every aspect of shopping here was incredible, from browsing to delivery. I actually felt compelled to go back and thank them. How often are you THAT happy with a purchase?

Friday is their 10% off day so you can save even more when shopping here, and you know your money is going to a good cause as opposed to the big box hardware stores in the area. The parking lot is a little small and can be cramped on weekends, but it's not too bad during the week. There's a bathroom in the store but I haven't been in it so I can't comment on it, but it didn't look like it was coded or locked or anything like that.
