This TJ Maxx is clean and had a great selection of home goods. The purse selection was decent I found a genuine leather purse for $30 I didn't recognize the name but when I looked it up the purse was sold for $140.00. I also found a Marc Jacob crossbody purse for $109.99 I could not say no. I found a Eagles men's sweatshirt with the European collar for $25.00 great buy. They had so many nice items for the household, furniture, paintings etc.

I've had to limit my visits here since some people have said I have way too many shoes, which is…read moresort of ironic because I don't particularly enjoy shoe shopping per se. Know this much about me, I'm not super hard on shoes so I've had some from college. At any rate, the great thing about this place is the sheer selection. If you need a particular type of shoe for a special occasion this is usually my first stop. The prices here are decent too. Although during my last visit I've noticed the clearance section seemed much smaller than my prior visits before. I stopped short of 5 stars because it seems like finding a staff member on the floor if you have a question can be hard to come by. But in all honesty the way the store is set up its sort of designed for you to browse and pick out your shoes yourself, try them on, and if you like them you just go up to the register and purchase.

Selection relatively seasonal, with a good percentage of it cute; customer service was fine once they showed up... after five minutes of shifting our feet at the register. One of the larger businesses in the strip of beauty/food joints behind the Robeks and Coldstone. I meant to get one pair. But I walked out with two pairs, an awesomely ugly umbrella, and arch support gels, all for less than a hundred bucks. This is what happens when two shopaholics browse the clearance section. She got a hot pair of strappy evening heels, and I got two pairs of non-black closed-toe pumps to go with my growing collection of stockings at home. I had to will myself to not buy some of those peeptoe slingback heels. God bless the purple tag and red tag clearance items. I'll definitely be back to root through the back room again. Definitely sign up for their email list for coupons.

Nothing in particular was in mind when I stepped foot inside, but it didn't hurt to look. I kept an open mind when browsing. Like I said, I didn't have anything in particular that I wanted/needed. I made my way to the home goods section to browse through the numerous kitchen gadgets, storage containers, and mismatched items we have all become accustomed to when in one of these stores. I may have said this in a prior review for one of their locations, but it is hit or miss when browsing. You are not guaranteed to find anything, but you may find many things that you don't necessarily need, but could find a good use for. I was on the hunt for food storage containers. I'm trying to optimize my space that I have and get rid of temporary containers (i.e., boxes, bags, etc.). Unfortunately, I did not have much luck in here that day for finding food storage. I did end up walking out with a few items that made no sense to buy at one time. It wasn't a huge bag, but I did have a few items. Overall, it felt a little under stocked. Some of the shelves were a bit sparse. No real organization, items in the wrong general area, and an absence of employees on the floor, other than those working the registers.

Unfortunately, now it is most likely understaffed with minimal customer service. I'm giving two stars for those reasons, I feel like this store will only go downhill from here. I walked into the store past the main entrance display to the shoe department. I can't believe how messy people have become, expecting staff to clean it up, when they are already understaffed!!! Once I saw the mess (as shown in my pictures and videos), I turned back around and exited the store. Unless I ABSOLUTELY need to, I most likely won't return. Maybe today was a one-off day due to the holiday weekend.......

However I am so so disappointed in the work Olga did on my bridesmaids dress. This was my second time working with her and the first time she did a great job adding a corset to the back of my dress to fit my pregnant belly, though it did run me about $250, which hurt. This time going to Olga though, it cost the same amount, $250, and she hemmed the dress and added cups. She did not take the dress in on the sides like we discussed so the dress does not fit at all. When I tried it on at the store, I asked what could be done about the fit of the dress and she said "nothing, it's just the dress." I'm not the expert, she is. So I didn't say anything. However, the bridesmaids dress I have is nothing special and there is zero reason it couldn't be taken in to actually fit me. Especially for $250. Not only that, but the cups were sewn in so wonky that the fabric is all bunched and pulled across the chest. I had to cut them out. And to top it off, she did not hem it short enough. Now I'm left scrambling days before this wedding trying to jury-rig this dress to make it fit and look presentable. I don't know what to do. I'm no seamstress, so it looks pretty awful. So overall, I spent $250 for a hem and cups that I had to cut out.

You may think my review is a bit negative, but really, it's a positive!…read more First, I'm pretty sure this thrift store is cash only. I paid for my few items in cash, but I honestly did not see a credit card terminal anywhere. This place is a dump by a gas station / truck stop. The store is packed to the gills, but it is in order. If you can get to it. If you can't reach it or you think you might make something fall down trying to reach an item, ASK THE MAN WORKING THERE TO GET IT FOR YOU. He will thank you for it. The nice man working there said they needed a bigger space. No kidding! :-) I'm serious when I say this - bring some plastic bags ahead of time. There is literally no space to put your items somewhere if you want to come back to them after you have shopped some more. If you put them in plastic bags, at least you can haul your items around the store easier. Plus if you put them in plastic bags (versus a real bag), it won't look suspicious, like you are trying to steal from the store. You will never know how much an item will cost. What you do is put together a bunch of items and then haggle a little bit with the person working there. I honestly really don't like haggling at a **thrift store** but if I thought what he wanted for an item was too high, I'd either tell him that or I just would tell him I didn't want it anymore. I wasn't lying when I said I didn't want it anymore, sometimes he would guess price a little too high. For example, I wanted a used Minecraft shirt. He wanted $5 for it. I said to him, sir, I can get them new for $8 and this one is somewhat worn but still serviceable. He took a look at the shirt again and sold it to me for a dollar. You will find some really good bargains here. I really like this place. I'm going back soon.

It's filthy, stuff is piled haphazardly on shelves and the only employee was on the phone the entire time I was there so even if I had found something, without prices on anything I wouldn't have been able to ask. I kept expecting to see an insect or have something fall on my head. Let me be clear: neither of these things happened, which is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1 star. I was sort of in the neighborhood so I didn't exactly go out of my way to get there, but I would have been extremely disappointed if I had. It's also not that easy to get to and unclear where to park. I won't go back. Do yourself a favor and run up to the Goodwill in Herndon. That's nothing special either (no treasure hunting there), but for inexpensive household items and clothing, at least it's clean, well-lit and well-organized.
