Pretty large space with mirrors and low bench seats scattered throughout. Disposable sock boxes sparsely located around the store. Selection relatively seasonal, with a good percentage of it cute; customer service was fine once they showed up... after five minutes of shifting our feet at the register. One of the larger businesses in the strip of beauty/food joints behind the Robeks and Coldstone. I meant to get one pair. But I walked out with two pairs, an awesomely ugly umbrella, and arch support gels, all for less than a hundred bucks. This is what happens when two shopaholics browse the clearance section. She got a hot pair of strappy evening heels, and I got two pairs of non-black closed-toe pumps to go with my growing collection of stockings at home. I had to will myself to not buy some of those peeptoe slingback heels. God bless the purple tag and red tag clearance items. I'll definitely be back to root through the back room again. Aggressive sales tactics to the point of harassment: Went to this store today to return a pair of unworn shoes with a receipt. Encountered Tina at the register. She asked for my phone number to bring up my DSW awards account. I informed her that I did not have one. She then asked for my # anyway because it would just take a moment to create an account for me. I informed Tina that I didn't want to create an awards account and only wanted to return the shoes. At this point, Tina has decided that she is still going to harass me to get a DSW awards account. She asked me why didn't I want a rewards account. I inform her that I was not required to have a rewards account to return merchandise and that I was also not required to tell her why I did not want something and that my NO should be sufficient. Tina, who still has not returned my shoes, informs me that "No is not an answer". She was basically demanding to know why I was saying No to opening an awards account. Only after I informed her that I knew my rights and was aware that there is no store policy that I must have a rewards account to return merchandise did she process my return. She thrusts the receipt in my hand. I informed Tina that I would be filing a complaint against her but she didn't seem to care. I guess this is DSW's store policy now to harass & try to humiliate their customers into giving out their personal information, also known as PII. Good luck with that. I've had to limit my visits here since some people have said I have way too many shoes, which is sort of ironic because I don't particularly enjoy shoe shopping per se. Know this much about me, I'm not super hard on shoes so I've had some from college. At any rate, the great thing about this place is the sheer selection. If you need a particular type of shoe for a special occasion this is usually my first stop. The prices here are decent too. Although during my last visit I've noticed the clearance section seemed much smaller than my prior visits before. I stopped short of 5 stars because it seems like finding a staff member on the floor if you have a question can be hard to come by. But in all honesty the way the store is set up its sort of designed for you to browse and pick out your shoes yourself, try them on, and if you like them you just go up to the register and purchase. read more

It might be all of the DSW's in the area, or in general but this location specifically has reduced the men's shoe area to three rows. Pre-summer 2018 it was four. Maybe they did this for the fall/winter to add in more kids shoes and boots for our female counter-parts but I was pretty annoyed by the removal of this isle and reduction in shoe inventory for men. Aside from that (which to me is a big deal) this location is pretty large and usually has a very fast moving check-out line. The staff are helpful and courteous despite the fact that this place is packed on Saturday. Come during the week, it's a much better experience then and you won't have to hunt for one of those seats to try on shoes. read more

I purchased a pair of sandals that gave me a terrible blister. I tried to return them less than a week after buying, and the manager was very rude and dismissive. I was respectful, and she walked away in the middle of our "conversation." It's not the first time an employee at this store has been less than friendly. read more

I drove past here and forgot that I came here last month on a last minute stop to get shoes for my sisters wedding. This place deserved a nice written review so here it is. They have a large selection of designer shoes at very affordable prices. I was able to nab a nice pair of dress shoes for my sisters wedding and also a pair of crocs for my job. They had a deal for buy one get one half off which was nice on the wallet. The staff was nice and friendly and they do a rewards club where you get email promotions and deals. I love DSW because I can browse without sales people bugging me the entire time (I'm talking to you, Nordstrom) and the selection is vast. I usually start in the clearance section. The choices there are typically off one season, but there can be some real steals. They've expanded their accessories section and I noticed a rack of fun necklaces today. About this store in particular: it's a smaller footprint than the giant Fair Lakes store, but I've always found plenty of choices. The back right corner of the clearance section is dark and I've found it difficult to spot black from navy from brown, but maybe that's just me. :) read more

As soon as I walked in, I was amazed and overwhelmed by all kind of summer shoes they have. I was in HEAVEN and had no idea where to start. I had to take a deep breath to calm myself down. This place is huge, new, clean and organized. Most of the women designer shoes are in the front of the store. The tennis shoes and men's are in the back of the store. They have another room in the back for all the CLEARANCE shoes. Their prices are unbeatable, it is about $15 - $20 cheaper than most of the department shoes. Also, I like how they have prices displayed for each shoes and with a note of normal price would cost. Ladies, please leave your man at home so you can shop until you drop =). read more

One word: shoes... :) I am constantly receiving coupons in the mail from them, so I generally take a peek in the store when I get a chance. The store is really clean, bright and easy to navigate. I am always impressed with their customer service, both on the floor and at the register. I've also returned a few items and haven't had any issues. They've been more than happy to take back unworn items with a receipt. Bonus for the guys: they have nice lounge chairs positioned in front of a TV that is usually on ESPN. read more

Not a good variety of shoes for one. The cashier lost the shoes that I told her I was going to return and she lost the receipt too. They had to go find it. She didn't try to make things right by returning my item from online so that I can pay a difference at the store for another shoe with a gift card (most dsw representatives would suggest it). Let's get some shoes! (that Liam Sullivan YouTube video has still not gotten old yet) DSW ROCKS. I love coming in here because it's a store filled with endless shoes and accessories. And the bags are actually really cute, too. They have such an amazing selection of really unique flats I don't often see in other stores, and they have tons of brand-names as well. I was in last week and they had an enormous selection of boots! I ended up getting a pair of slouchy suede grey ones for $50. The best part? I had a coupon for $20 off a purchase of $50! If you join the DSW rewards program they offer you at the register, you just need to fill out a little form and they send you some pretty sweet coupons. And they gave me another one to use later this month when I purchased the others! So sweet! And if their huge selection isn't already amazing, there's a back room with TONS and TONS of shoes on sale. They aren't ugly, either! They're really just from the prior season for the most part. Lots of cute strappy sandals and heels and bright colors. I'm in love! read more

The layout here has changed since the last time I was there. This one use to have a separate room where the clearance was and now the room has been removed and it looks like others that's have been to. The selection was wide and luckily for me not too picked over. I went in for silver shoes and a clutch and spent 30 minutes total. read more

Have shopped at DSW for the past twenty+\- years in several states. This location is not quite as good as others, but it's finally here!!!! I'm so excited!! I'm very pleased that corporate finally realized that there is an untapped niche in northern Virginia - shoe collectors!!! Fair Lakes location has a better selection of upper scale designers (think Prada), but I usually find what I'm looking for here anyway. They lose one star just because I can't get the upper end shoes here. Otherwise, best place for shoe shopping in this area. Amazingly large selections (all medium width so don't expect to find narrow width shoes here), discounted area, neat accessories, best priced evening bags anywhere. If you love shoes, don't miss this place. Sign up for their emails and download their app. Remember, the more you buy the quicker you get rewards certificates. A cashier made the mistake of not checking both my shoes to see if they're the same size, so I walked around the beach for an entire day not understanding why one foot felt vastly more uncomfortable than the other. ;) turned out one was a half size small. I called the store and a manager named Emily spoke to me. She was extremely apologetic, and even went to a completely different store the next morning to get the correctly sized shoes for me and bring them back to this location. On top of that, I was offered a 30% additional inconvenience discount. the excellent customer service made up for any inconvenience this caused. Thanks for being great Dulles DSW. read more

This is my current fav DSW in the greater DC metro area. I used to work 5 minutes from this place, and it was my saving grace--getting a good pair of shoes takes the edge off a commute back to Maryland. I love this location because it has an entire clearance room. The turn over in this magical clearance room is good, too. I could go once per week and find something new to at least try on or mock, if not buy. The selection of things not on sale is very seasonal. If you want a current shoe, come here. If you are shopping into the next season, go to the DSW near the Montgomery Mall in Maryland. This spot loses 1/3 of a star for having a tiny selection of men's shoes. My boyfriend encourages shoe shopping and will come with me if he has things to try on to. Not so much here. The other 2/3 of that star is deducted for having absolutely Zero men's clearance shoes. Nada. Zilch. Apparently men don't want good deals? I personally like the customer service model here. This will check on you or greet you once, but once you send the associates packing, they leave you alone until you are ready to pay. I personally really like that. I brought a friend to help me pick out my purchases, I don't need an associate lording over the process. read more

Everytime I see a DSW, I have to go inside a DSW. This time, we were on our way to try Wegmans. Boom. I saw it. DSW. Big as day. I had to fill in my points with some clearance rack buys. We love DSW, and it saddens us to write a not so good review about this store. We got a postcard about "SHOP THE NEW STORE" in Dulles Town Center. So, we went around Dulles Town Center to try to find the place, but we couldn't find it because the address is for 24570 Dulles Landing Drive, about 12 miles on the other side of Dulles. Anyways we never made it to the store and we ended up spending the day shopping in Dulles Town Center. read more

So I was standing in line waiting for cashier to call me but one of the employe jumped right in front of me from the other side. I understand that she was probably on her break and had to get back to work but she could say something or apologize instead she was keep looking at me.
