Selection relatively seasonal, with a good percentage of it cute; customer service was fine once they showed up... after five minutes of shifting our feet at the register. One of the larger businesses in the strip of beauty/food joints behind the Robeks and Coldstone. I meant to get one pair. But I walked out with two pairs, an awesomely ugly umbrella, and arch support gels, all for less than a hundred bucks. This is what happens when two shopaholics browse the clearance section. She got a hot pair of strappy evening heels, and I got two pairs of non-black closed-toe pumps to go with my growing collection of stockings at home. I had to will myself to not buy some of those peeptoe slingback heels. God bless the purple tag and red tag clearance items. I'll definitely be back to root through the back room again. Definitely sign up for their email list for coupons.

She asked for my phone number to bring up my DSW awards account. I informed her that I did not have one. She then asked for my # anyway because it would just take a moment to create an account for me. I informed Tina that I didn't want to create an awards account and only wanted to return the shoes. At this point, Tina has decided that she is still going to harass me to get a DSW awards account. She asked me why didn't I want a rewards account. I inform her that I was not required to have a rewards account to return merchandise and that I was also not required to tell her why I did not want something and that my NO should be sufficient. Tina, who still has not returned my shoes, informs me that "No is not an answer". She was basically demanding to know why I was saying No to opening an awards account. Only after I informed her that I knew my rights and was aware that there is no store policy that I must have a rewards account to return merchandise did she process my return. She thrusts the receipt in my hand. I informed Tina that I would be filing a complaint against her but she didn't seem to care. I guess this is DSW's store policy now to harass & try to humiliate their customers into giving out their personal information, also known as PII. Good luck with that. Thank goodness this is the age of technology :)

Stanley galore everywhere..I mean, geeeez, an entire wall plus additional shelves. Then there were the new trending brands as well as the OGs such as Yeti. I definitely skipped all of these trending brands and went for one that actually looked nice and served the purpose. They do maintain the organization of the items pretty well, so kudos to that. The staff on the floor were nice in guiding me to the sections with the tumblers. I want to give more stars, but the checkout line was soooo slow. One customer decided she wanted to go back to the floor and grab another item. Instead of letting me go ahead or taking me on another register or calling another employee, the employee just had me stand there waiting....I literally had one item. There is plenty of parking available in front of the store.

The suitcases were all neatly organized, all the matching sets were placed together, all the carry-ons in one location, etc. The purses were a little cluttered, but were grouped (for the most part) by color and separated from the high-end brands. There was a very long line for checkout, which was fine, because we were able to entertain ourselves with all the items on the shelves along the way. They have a lot of Halloween and Fall themed items, accessories, decoration on the shelves now.

It looked like there wasn't collected for weeks and this employee would be tasked at gathering all the carts. I know when I worked retail, this was my least favorite task I was assigned to. I felt his pain. Inside, I had a bit of a treasure hunt that turned out to favor me. I went about this rather well stocked and organized store and found a few items I still needed. I went about the home goods section and had my hands full which made me happy. I ended up browsing in this store for more time than I thought I had. It wasn't all that bad, I came out with a lot of items that I am still using today. This is where I got my start with food storage items and it just grew from there. Employees inside were pleasant. I bet they were happy that they weren't banished to the lot like their coworker. Pleasantries were exchanged while checking out which made for a better experience.

You may think my review is a bit negative, but really, it's a positive!…read more First, I'm pretty sure this thrift store is cash only. I paid for my few items in cash, but I honestly did not see a credit card terminal anywhere. This place is a dump by a gas station / truck stop. The store is packed to the gills, but it is in order. If you can get to it. If you can't reach it or you think you might make something fall down trying to reach an item, ASK THE MAN WORKING THERE TO GET IT FOR YOU. He will thank you for it. The nice man working there said they needed a bigger space. No kidding! :-) I'm serious when I say this - bring some plastic bags ahead of time. There is literally no space to put your items somewhere if you want to come back to them after you have shopped some more. If you put them in plastic bags, at least you can haul your items around the store easier. Plus if you put them in plastic bags (versus a real bag), it won't look suspicious, like you are trying to steal from the store. You will never know how much an item will cost. What you do is put together a bunch of items and then haggle a little bit with the person working there. I honestly really don't like haggling at a **thrift store** but if I thought what he wanted for an item was too high, I'd either tell him that or I just would tell him I didn't want it anymore. I wasn't lying when I said I didn't want it anymore, sometimes he would guess price a little too high. For example, I wanted a used Minecraft shirt. He wanted $5 for it. I said to him, sir, I can get them new for $8 and this one is somewhat worn but still serviceable. He took a look at the shirt again and sold it to me for a dollar. You will find some really good bargains here. I really like this place. I'm going back soon.

It's filthy, stuff is piled haphazardly on shelves and the only employee was on the phone the entire time I was there so even if I had found something, without prices on anything I wouldn't have been able to ask. I kept expecting to see an insect or have something fall on my head. Let me be clear: neither of these things happened, which is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1 star. I was sort of in the neighborhood so I didn't exactly go out of my way to get there, but I would have been extremely disappointed if I had. It's also not that easy to get to and unclear where to park. I won't go back. Do yourself a favor and run up to the Goodwill in Herndon. That's nothing special either (no treasure hunting there), but for inexpensive household items and clothing, at least it's clean, well-lit and well-organized.
