Located close to Lotte Plaza and Fair Oaks Hospital, it's a small store but packed with Birkenstock sandals and other ancillaries . I was met entering by a young lady (Ceres?)who took her time to help me decide which sandals would fit and what colors were available (none of mine were so went with second best). She was very thorough, up to the point where another young lady who was obviously a close friend stopped by and then I had her divided attention to check-out. I have my sandals and tried them as directed for an hour first day and the tried the second day. It hurt in the top of my foot and I had to read the reviews to find out why it was hurting. Would have been nice to have been told that by my associate. Not cheap so pay attention in the store. I overheard another associate going deeper into the physical aspects of the sandals so try and see if you can enter, walk around and listen in to conversations to see which associate seem to be most knowledgeable. Hopefully the sandals will break in shortly and I can experience the benefit.

The service is very personal here. You get greeted and a sales rep comes to take your feet size on some machine and figure out your shoe size. They also have treadmills here for you to try out the shoes - an interesting touch of try before you buy. The price is worth the service they provide.

I probably tried on 15+ pairs of shoes and ended up buying one pair. After trying them on again at home, I decided they weren't for me and was able to return them (30-day return policy). No problem! I purchased another pair when I went to return them. Their prices are on par with the Birkenstock USA and Amazon.com. I think most pairs of Birkenstocks go for $120-$140. Many pairs are on sale (10% off), and they advertise in the Clipper Magazine (check your mail: 10% off purchases under $150, 15% off purchases $150-250, 20% off $250+). All things considered, you will probably break even or save by shopping here. I purchased a pair of Birkenstock Boston clogs and a small item for $128--yes, that includes tax! Right now, these shoes alone retail for $140 on the Birkenstock USA website and Amazon.com--not including tax! Montague & Son also carries a variety of other "comfort wear" shoes (Dansko, Naot, etc.). They do have certain colors and styles on sale for various brands, which can be anywhere from 20-30% off. They have a wide selection of not just Birkenstock but other brands like Hoka. One thing that immediately stood out was the customer service. I really wish I remembered her name to put in the review, but she was excellent. Even though I thought I knew my size, she suggested I use the foot scanner machine and proceeded to educate me on my foot pattern.
