The store has seen better days for sure. Disorganized and scattered. Summer everything was on clearance and very limited. I did manage to luck out with flip flops and found some Reef flip flops marked down to 14$. I stood in line for so long my husband walked outside so he wouldn't get frustrated. I would have left too but I really want these shoes. They have a now hiring sign and it looks like they need employees fast! Another note, the employees that I did encounter were less than friendly. The entire store kinda has stale icky energy. Maybe if your current employees liked their job you would be able to attract more employees. I will probably visit again in the future but with low expectations. Maybe management will read this and fix it. Maybe build up your team morale;)

As someone who has worked in retail for longer than I'd like to admit, the racks were sized someone had taken the time to wax all of them which makes sorting through all of the clothing, so much easier, and the amount of people helping to ensure the line was being managed was definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't find as many clothes as I had wanted to because I found the selection not so great, but I will say that your organization and service standards are greatly improved from previous visits at this location.

I went back to the store hoping to either return it or at least exchange it for something that would work. The cashier was actually very nice and tried to be helpful. She asked her manager about the return, but unfortunately, the manager was very blunt and came across as rude when explaining that because it was Labor Day weekend, they were not accepting returns for red tags. I understand that stores have policies, but not allowing a return or even an exchange on an item purchased just two days earlier because of a holiday-weekend policy doesn't make much sense to me. I would have appreciated a little more understanding and better customer service from management. I have always associated the Nordstrom name with good customer service, so this experience was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this Nordstrom Rack.

There was a time that the customer service wasn't the greatest and other times when the inventory was pretty scarse, but it has now become one of the better Ross stores. The management, personnel, and inventory has been awesome. They get trucks almost daily. Since COVID, I have found brands such as Uggs, authentic sports jerseys with $110 tags attached for $14.99, Marc Jacobs, and Vince - to name only a few. I can honestly say that shopping at this Ross today is a totally different experience than years back. If you have given up shopping there, give it another try. There is only one thing that still irks me (and this is with all Ross stores that I have been to), when you return something (even if you have things in your cart that you are going to also buy), the people in the buying line get preferential treatment. I have seen people enter that line way after I entered the return line get checked out before I do. I recommend you train all cashiers to take returns and just have the one line. Take in the order that they get into line. Other than that, it is an awesome store with awesome people and merchandise.

First of all, we almost got this fox-shaped dog bed because it was so cute, especially since our dog always reminds us of a fox. I also found this ridiculous but awesome flamingo-shaped lamp, and it completely caught my attention. It was so over the top in the best way. I would totally get it if the rest of our house were decorated a little more ridiculously, because it definitely deserves a space where it could really fit in and shine. Finally, I came across a kid's urinal with a target shaped like a green frog, and it was just as ridiculous as it sounds. Honestly, everything was ridiculously amazing and a very memorable find.

Bargain Hunting Day at Marshalls - Episode 3, the Final Episode!…read more This was our final Marshalls stop of the day--and let me tell you, it couldn't have come soon enough for me. (If you've read my last two Marshalls stores reviews on this day, you'll know my supporting enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limit! :-) That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this one. According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members. Even though they were clearly busy, they were still answering questions and helping customers with genuine smiles. It was actually kind of fun to watch. We wrapped up our day with a few more great finds. She was happy--and that's a win in my book.

This location looks dated on the outside - I was skeptical that I would not find anything. As I walked inside, I was greeted by one of the associates. Off to a nice start! I immediately started looking through the women's aisle and within the first 5 minutes, I FOUND THE ITEM!!!!! I was screaming inside! I perused through the rest of the aisles and found other good items. This store has a lot of hidden gems! Maybe because this location is so deep within Concord/Clayton, it hardly gets picked through unlike the other stores off Diamond or Ignacio Valley, or even the one located in Moraga. I don't care how dated it looks, it's now my lucky store =). I'm definitely coming back!
