Burlington! Why are you so sad! Unless you're coming here for clothes for women or men, you're not gonna find much. I came here looking for a few items for the home and the home section is just so under stocks and underwhelming that I really won't come here again, looking for anything in particular. Sifting through mounds of clothes is not ideal for me either so unless I'm not looking for anything in particular, I probably won't come back. I remember coming here years ago and being able to find lots of different home items so I don't know what is going on with this location. read more

I went to this location on Saturday, 8/15 around 9:30am. when I got in the store I walked past the man walking around with the big motorized mop and looked down at the floor to see if where i was walking was currently wet. the tile itself didn't seem wet but you could see water filling the grout lines so I made a mental note to walk carefully. I slipped once and tried to write to write it off as a fluke but I slipped again shortly after and told an elder employee hanging clothes up to put out some cones because I just slipped twice, and I know they don't want anyone to get hurt. this encounter was the first time I had observed a fold out style caution sign but it was not in an aisle or walkway that was wet, it was folded up tucked between clothes on a shelving rack and the main support of that rack. I continued browsing in a part of the store where the flooring was not being mopped (the man was still walking the big mop around the main tiled aisles of the store). when I wanted to go to try on my items I walked towards the fitting rooms which was on the tiled walkway, still being cautious. I saw the fitting rooms were closed so I proceeded towards the checkout area when I suddenly slipped and fell on my knees. at this point I was furious. I hollered for a burlington employee but no one came. I was actually that person screaming in the store which is never a good look, I admit. I ended up having to continue walking on the wet and slippery floor all the way to checkout where I had to STILLL request for a manager despite being heard all throughout the store. this is where I met Jen. Jen was obviously not happy about my behaviour but proceeded to tell me they just have to do their job (the man mopping) and that there were cones out all over the store. I saw the one cone mentioned previously and only ONE other cone in an aisle that wasn't even for the wet floor it was for a spill that had occurred and there was the absorbent material that is poured over larger spills to soak them up. this whole long winded review to say I asked Jen for a corporate number, she rudely directed me to internet. I asked for the store number, she rudely directed me to the internet. there were no attempts to deescalate, no offer of an incident report, nothing. I even asked why isn't the mopping done before the store opens so they don't have to worry about this, no response. If someone is already injured or compromised they will really get hurt and if the way I was treated is any indicator of how someone who is truly hurt will be, it won't be great. This store has a lot to offer from clothings, kitchen appliances, to toys. There's a lot to see and check out at these stores. We ended up buying Christmas ornaments and decorations for this year from this store. I found some Demon Slayer toys as well that I almost bought. read more

I come here once in a while. It is like a Ross or TJ Maxx. I came yesterday hunting for a pair of flip flops. I can no longer buy just any ole pair, I need a little support nowadays. The store has seen better days for sure. Disorganized and scattered. Summer everything was on clearance and very limited. I did manage to luck out with flip flops and found some Reef flip flops marked down to 14$. I stood in line for so long my husband walked outside so he wouldn't get frustrated. I would have left too but I really want these shoes. They have a now hiring sign and it looks like they need employees fast! Another note, the employees that I did encounter were less than friendly. The entire store kinda has stale icky energy. Maybe if your current employees liked their job you would be able to attract more employees. I will probably visit again in the future but with low expectations. Maybe management will read this and fix it. Maybe build up your team morale;) read more

Service is friendly. There are a variety of clothes and house items and toys. Value is affordable. There is parking. It is by In and Out Burger and near Target. I do miss the old Location at Park N Shop in Concord. I miss the Toys R Us that used to be where Burlington Coat Factory is now. read more

I hate clothes shopping because I really know nothing about and don't have much feeling for fashion but I actually liked this store a lot. It was clean with long racks of items in the women's section, which seemed to be the main focus of the store, smack dab in the middle. The men and children had sections too but I didn't look through them. Considerably smaller than the women's sections, though. The shoe section had a few nice dress shoes and offbeat sport shoes, but not much. But lots of nice coats of course (their store name lol), tops, blouses, sweaters, and some pants too though not as many choices there. Large spacious store. I left my cart at the end of the aisles when going down them otherwise you're blocking people out. This store does remind me of a slightly nicer Ross - so you do need to check clothes carefully for any fading, zipper function, sizing, etc. I was pleased with everything except one jacket I wanted but noticed bad fading in the dye when I checked it better in the light, not majority but some of the jackets and clothes have large logos in weird places (I dont care about brands and didn't like how some of them were placed on the clothing - looked like a bad iron-ons or unnecessarily large) and there was one top I failed to try on (my bad) - cute shirt but the arm holes were like for a 5 year old cutting off circulation so I'd try everything on if you have time or just don't get it. Lots of cute stocking stuffer items on the way to the register. Lots of floor length mirrors throughout to try on jackets, sweaters. I'd go back maybe one or 2x a year. Long lines moved fast. At this location, staff working nonstop hanging items back up to put back on shelves. Style-wise I thought the women's clothing is much cuter than at Ross, where I sometimes get frustrated because i cant find too much i like. Busy shopping area but more than enough parking. Especially if you come early. Early is always better imho. read more

THEY CLOSE WHENEVER THEY WANT! Their hours say 12 everywhere and every time I come by around 10-11 they are closed so today at 10:30 I called the store and they told me they close at 12 but if no one is in by 11 they close the store so I told her I would come. Got there at 10:38 and the doors were closed. The security guard said they were closed and I let him know what I was just told over the phone and he let me in. I am very understanding that people want to go home after a long day of work but i looked on google and it says that this location closes at 12am so i thought it would be nice to run in before they close but once i got here the security guard was locking the doors and i tried to ask if they were still open and he ignored me. Customer service was terrible. Whoever is managing the store is not doing the company or the community looking for a place to shop any favors. I was simply looking for a frying pan without non-stick apply to the surface. The personnel hired to assist were not helpful. I certainly did not feel welcome in the store. I hope this email finds you well. On 1/23/2021 my 60 year old mother was in your store in Pleasant Hill, California around 7:15pm. She was followed around the store by loss prevention. His name is Brian, at least that is what the store manager Kathy told me. He approached her and told her to empty out her pockets. May I add my Mother comes from humble upbringings, raising 6 children and working hard her whole life. Having to survive the violence in Armenia and her parents killed to make it out alive to Russia barely. He followed her around, and belittled her in front of everyone even after she showed her pockets were empty. My poor Mother was just trying to buy some glasses and enjoy her evening. I get a call with her frantically crying of embarrassment. English is her second language so I called the store to speak to the manager on duty named Kathy. She was rude and not empathetic AT ALL. All she said is that Eddie the loss prevention supervisor will call me Monday. My mother was discriminated on for what?? Is it because of her appearance or accent? I'm not quite sure, but I was wondering if you can help me please?! I want this never to happen to any other family. I should be with my infant daughter right now but I'm searching high and low for someone to apologize and be empathetic. Can you provide me with any type of information? What are the disciplinary actions when a sort of thing like this happens? I'm contemplating making a legal call right now to my lawyer at the NAACP. I went this week to purchase some clothing, and the dressing rooms were moved to the front in view of the greeter whom I greeted upon entrance. The greeter was this old lady with glasses and she was extremely rude and made the shopping experience terrible. She shouted rude comments at me in front of other customers, making me feel very self-conscious. I used to like shopping here and would come all the time, but it lately feels as if service had really gone downhill. I understand with all the increase of thievery and whatnot that workers may need to be more on guard, but making your customers feel unwelcome is not the way to go. read more

PLEASE STOP FAT SHAMING YOUR CUSTOMERS The primary dressing rooms were closed so i went to the secondary ones at the front of the store. When waiting to try on clothes the staff member at the front of the store proceeded to yell at me from 30ft away (instead of approaching me to talk to me directly) making me feel as if it's insinuated I'm attempting to steal items. After trying on clothes I went to return them to the rack while she then again yelled at me from 30ft away in front of multiple people "Did anything fit?!?" to which then I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I then approached her and expressed that I'm not comfortable with her drawing attention and shaming me about my size. She then replied "too tight?" Laughing and making hand gestures referring to my size,again shaming me in public about my size, to which I then expressed again how I didn't appreciate it. She then just shrugged her shoulders and walked away to another task. I came here because i needed items for my pets. This place is in a really busy parking lot. It's pretty big and it is well stocked. Things are very reasonably priced. There is a great pet selection. I highly recommend coming here before going to a big chain store. read more

Aways have great stuff for the right price. Been a Burlington shopper for years and love how they made a bigger one that has a greater variety than the one on Willow Pass. From clothes, shoes, luggage, and household decor, they have it! Other than being a clean store for just opening, their clothes on the men's rack were not labeled correctly. Possibly because they were rushing to open, but I usually go through everything anyways to find keepers. Thanks for opening up this location! read more

Two stars because the cashiers are generally pleasant, and I can generally find something that I like even if it's not what I was looking for. HOWEVER, this store has the poorest management that I have ever seen. It is a clothing store for heaven sake, yet their fitting room is almost never open. Every time I have gone in there recently the attendant is either on a break or has called in sick and no one is replacing them. Unbelievable. Shopping with my 5 year old daughter yesterday I allowed her to pick out a toy as long as it was under a certain price. The item she picked had no price on it at all. We searched the shelf for a price and still nothing. An employee stocking shelves there offered assistance, she said she would find a price for it. She disappeared for about 5 minutes and returned with a tag for it. My daughter was happy because it was within the price range. We stood in in a sizable line for close to 10 minutes. At the counter the cashier exclaimed that it wasn't the right price. I explained the situation and the cashier called for her manager. The manager had no interest in whether a fellow employee had tagged it but refused to sell it at that price. I commented that since they tagged it they should honor that price, she refused leaving my 5 year old heartbroken. I think this should be known and that I view it as the saddest example of customer service I've ever experienced. I will be very curious to hear back as to whether any action by them will be taken. read more

I tried to return some items however I was denied to return them because apparently they don't take those items back however on the policy it does not state that you cannot return certain items and if cashiers don't do their job then customers don't know they cannot return them so they should probably put on their policy what is returnable and what's not read more

And went in this morning to make a return on one item that still have the tags attached but I could not find the receipt. The young lady at the cash register asked me if I had paid with a credit card to which I responded that I do not have a credit card. I was then told that without a receipt no return can be made even for store credit. I explained to the young lady that I do have a debit card but I'm not sure if I paid with when i originally purchased the item. She then said that she could look up the receipt using the debit card. This was confusing since just a couple seconds before she had said they could only look up using a credit card. FYI there is a difference between a credit card and a debit card. I was very confused because on both the receipt and the signs at each register and clearly stated that without a receipt returns could be made with a valid ID and the customer would be giving store credit. When I talked to the store manager just wanting to know for future reference she was a bit rude and explained that they decide case by case who can return without a receipt and who can't. I asked if they would be changing their signs in the information on their receipts to reflect this return policy and she said no. Seems really dumb to have so many places where your return policy is stated yet not follow what your own policy states. I understand that you have particular customers who steal but if your making a policy change you should also update your signage and receipts. read more

This one is certainly cleaner than the one that was on Willow Pass. However, finding things is still a challenge. The clothes are not carefully hung back in the size they're supposed to be in. The shoes are worse. My recommendation is don't go unless you have time to go thru all the racks, especially if you're looking for something in particular. read more
