Nordstrom Rack in Bakersfield is an average experience compared to the other Nordstrom Racks across…read morethis beautiful state of California. This Nordstrom Rack has plenty of inventory it just happens to be average, overpriced items that can be found at the TJ Maxx right next door or somewhere between Marshalls and Kohls. Today was probably one of the few times that I actually was looking for a pair of shoes and they happen to be some hocus I don't believe Nordstrom Rack does price matching when they add their stickers to their products but a lot of their products are overpriced whether something is on sale or not is debatable. Today I was looking for On clouds or Hokas for my upcoming trip. The Nordstrom Rack usually has comparable prices to online at the on store or even the Hoka store but after researching several items including the one in the pictures below there's no reason to shop at Nordstrom Rack anymore, instead shop online and save 10 to 20%. I really do understand sales price meaning Hoka can run better sales in most cases as the manufacturer but most items are overpriced in Nordstrom Rack. Ralph Lauren polo shirts two to three years old are still running $70 even more expensive than the outlet price, basically Nordstrom Rack is overpriced in my opinion and this one in Bakersfield has given me reason to continue to go.

The people were very nice, (like can I help you with anything because I get paid on commission nice). Even with that being the case it could tell that everyone really had the attitude of what can we help you find and not let me get you to buy this so I can make some money too! My biggest find was the light pink BOGG brand bag for $39.99. It came with an internal pouch. Lots of items but nothing of brand. I couldn't find the pajamas anywhere at all. I check men's and did find some nice underwear for cheap. I searched and searched and still nothing. I looked all over for a worker and couldn't find anyone that was free to help. One worker was in the back of the store arguing with what seemed to be loved one on the phone. Purely too occupied to be of assistance. I decided to go to the more reliable place I could think of, the fitting room. Walking to the fitting room, I noticed a person tracking my journey across the store. The tall security watching me roam thru the store. Once I got to the fitting room, the worker was facing the wall. Before I could get within 19 ft she picked up her walkie to listen to a message and turned to greet me. Now obviously, she alerted of me arriving. I looked back over and see the security man with 2 other workers peering at us. I get the idea, that I was being suspected of theft. Here I am looking all over for these workers so I can locate Xmas pajamas and when they finally take notice of my need I am instantly called in their coms to be on alert. I went to just go checkout with the 2 items I found on my hunt but after standing in line for a min or so I had a thought. I was appalled and decided to leave. It wasn't worth the wait anyway. Walking out, I now see a team of 4 workers at the checkpoint. Now wanted to say something but looking at each of the individuals, it was clear they were all ignorant. They were Improperly trained and most likely inexperienced. Not their fault. I hope they do improve.
