Always prefer to go to this Costco over Rosedale: parking lot seems less chaotic and less crowded. The self checkout does really improve the shop-ability of Costco, if only one day they had the Sam's Club/WalMart app checkout. My favorite thing while shopping is hunting for the 0.00/0.97 deals and getting a 'steal'. Will keep coming here for my bulk shopping. read more

I recommend Costco for most everything in the store I do wish they would have a self checkout sort of like Sam Club does but they usually keep the the lines moving fast enough that it's not too painful the only problem that I have with the checkout lines is when you're going to the self checkout they no longer have wands and you have to pick every item out of the card and put it on the conveyor belt yourself so you can scan it. N o problem unless dealing with a 20 to 30 lb bag of rice and beans that is a little over the top but when I have those items I choose to go through the lines where the workers will remove those items, They also have the best Meats in the business if you don't believe try them for yourself go for the prime select Meats,as the choice is good but the marbling on the prime steaks and ribeye are Bar None to many meat market I have ever been to. Costco also has the snack bar which is outside the store and the only downfall with that is they have six to eight machines outside and only two to three work which is not a problem during most of the day but around noon and around 5:00 p.m. they're super crowded and you're dealing with a lot of people who act like they've never been to Costco and can't pick what they want so it takes a lot longer to get to one of those machines. The upside is when you do get to the counter the step is really quick and friendly and make sure your order is complete before they send you on your way with a smile. read more

I went to buy some water, and I recently had surgery. Now mind you I look very healthy. I am disabled, and my illness is taking away from my muscles, starting with the littlest ones like my eyes, and my voice box. After leaving, and checking out, I needed help, and a group of guys out there that take the carts back in, were grouped in by the corner, and an employee named Ricardo made an effort to listen to me, to help me with the heavy water bottles that I needed to put in my car. My neighborhood Costco! I much prefer this location than the Rosedale store because I know exactly where I need to go to get what I need. The customer reps here are very helpful and welcoming. The parking lot is big and I don't feel like the lines are at a stand still here. Workers move pretty efficiently to try to get everyone helped and on their way. The food court is outside so it's easy for customers to grab food items on their way to their cars. read more

Actually came in on the weekend since it was my day off. I came in to return some Items since I hate coming in since it's always crowded. I went to the customer service counter and was supposed To be helped , but I felt more like I was being interrogated. I was trying to return items that were purchased at the store. He asked Who bought what and where and when . I have never encountered this issue and he made feel like I had stolen the items from all the questions he was asking . One speaker I purchased the second I won in a raffle by my employer and vacuum was given to me as a gift. Kevin was his name and I do not ever want to deal with him ever again. DO BETTER. I placed my order, waited a long time, and still did not receive what I ordered. When I brought it to the cashier's attention, instead of addressing the mistake professionally, I was lectured about the different drink options available at the kiosk, told they cost more, and informed they would "honor the trade this time." I'm sorry, but what I ordered did not resemble what was displayed on the menu signage, so I had no way of knowing there were additional options. A simple explanation would have been appreciated instead of being spoken to in a condescending and belittling/brow beaten manner. What was even more disappointing was that the cashier discussed the interaction with three coworkers while I was standing there. As a member, I found that behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. The manager made the drinks for me but when I told her ' thank you so much and I really appreciate your help' she just smiled and acted condescending after I said your worker has an attitude problem and she really needs to teach her team how to treat customers, but apparently THIS is how they ARE being taught. SHAME ON COSTCO! I expect better customer service and better communication. Please do better, or I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Costco is Costco. They definitely have a little different options, at a much better deal, when it comes to some things for sure. I wish the Bakersfield locations had a more diverse option, when it came to the meat selection, as well as the ethnic options other Costcos have down south. You can't beat the food court options but I am definitely not a fan of the pizza, since it's a little floppy. Pretty hard to beat a pizza taken home and done in the oven for another 7-10 minutes, at 450 degrees. I would definitely recommend the whole meat options and cut them down to your own portions for a better price. When it comes to the big box items, you truly can't beat the prices. Larger food items, for a much cheaper price. This goes the same for some of their clothing items, regarding prices. Gas at this location is .10 cheaper than anywhere around. This gas location isn't as big as the Rosedale location but seems to be fairly quick. Go for the executive membership too, so you can get in an hour earlier, as well as get that 2% back, which for us pays for itself every year. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. To touch on the service, I've never had anyone that hasn't been helpful or friendly at the checkout. Regarding the "ambiance", it's Costco. Get in, get your stuff, hope you beat the lines and have a hot dog and a soda on your way out, for only $1.50 read more

Just renewed my membership after 15 years, I was very disappointed with the food court, It was 104 outside, ordered a pepperoni pizza, two hot dog combos. When I received my order,I was told they didn't have soda from the fountain, no ice! Was given two warm Cokes in a can! And the pizza I received wasn't cut into the normal 8 slices but in several inconsistent slices 13 if I remember correctly, some big, some slivers. Totally not what I remember. And didn't look or taste anything like it used to be. I'm regretting renewing my membership. Sam's Club pizza is way better then this crap! read more

Well ... yesterday was a day and a half to say the least and right before this Costco was closing we learned that the tv we had purchased did not have all the options we needed. I went there just moments before closing and returned what tv we did not want. I was able to purchase the tv we needed. Wanda, Nataly, Trevor, Jared, Isaac, Latiana, and Tyrhele were the best. I love Costco! You can find anything here. I managed to get all of my CHristmas shopping done here. But what i am most excited to brag about today is not the great prices on toilet paper and groceries. Although, yes that's worth bragging about. But recently i purchased a beautiful sectional sofa that i am loving! It's a Bainbridge sectional and it's comfy and cozy and made well. I know that purchasing at the warehouse is cheaper. But because i don't have a friend with a truck and frankly don't want to deal with the hassle. So i opted to order online. And went for the white glove for $50. And it was soooooo worth it! The delivery company called and scheduled an appointment one week before delivery and the guys were professional, efficient and careful with the couch! They set it up for me and placed it exactly where i wanted it. And on top of that, they hauled away all the packaging and cardboard. Thank you Costco! read more

This location is similar to most Costco's I have been to, however, it seems to be less hectic than most. I would like to mention that this location DOES NOT HAVE A PHOTO CENTER! I know this from experience and error. If you would like any photography service you will have to go to the Rosedale location. However, they do offer the optometry services. Also, this locations' food court is outside, which I like better, as it seems to be less hectic with this set up. This is a perk when I call in for some pizzas. All in all, the gas lines aren't too bad either, if you are looking for a "somewhat" less busy location I would come here!! read more

So like many of you out there, I enjoy going to Costco just not on the weekends lol. I'm not sure what it is but I like shopping at the SW Costco rather than the NW Costco. The thing with shopping at Costco is that if you see something you like or might want to buy, you need to buy it right there and then cause it might not be there on your next visit. They always have new items and goodies to choose from and the gas is always at a good price too. So if you don't have a membership you should get one. Oh and did I forget to mention the hotdogs and drink at the food court for $1.50. read more

Aisles are far too crowded therefore difficult to get around. Just crap everywhere. The food court in particular is awful. It is dirty and trash cans are overflowing. Only some of the ordering machines worked. Only one soda machine worked. Food is not as before - tasteless and some of the condiment dispensers were empty. Extremely disappointed. read more
