If I didn't despise this mall so much, I would definitely be shopping here often. The customer service was outstanding. I bought a dress at another store and was looking for a special bra to go with it. The sales associate Tish was so helpful and brought me all different ones to try out. While I was doing that, my friend found a dress, they only had one and it was in my size. Tried it on and fell in love with it. We were able to use Torrid cash and a reward. We got an $80 dress for $13. What a deal! This store is beautiful. The dressing rooms are nice and spacious. They have two comfortable chairs that you can sit in if you're waiting for somebody, they even gave us a water. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for that special item, you will receive undivided attention. 7/26/25

Nordstrom Rack in Bakersfield is an average experience compared to the other Nordstrom Racks across…read morethis beautiful state of California. This Nordstrom Rack has plenty of inventory it just happens to be average, overpriced items that can be found at the TJ Maxx right next door or somewhere between Marshalls and Kohls. Today was probably one of the few times that I actually was looking for a pair of shoes and they happen to be some hocus I don't believe Nordstrom Rack does price matching when they add their stickers to their products but a lot of their products are overpriced whether something is on sale or not is debatable. Today I was looking for On clouds or Hokas for my upcoming trip. The Nordstrom Rack usually has comparable prices to online at the on store or even the Hoka store but after researching several items including the one in the pictures below there's no reason to shop at Nordstrom Rack anymore, instead shop online and save 10 to 20%. I really do understand sales price meaning Hoka can run better sales in most cases as the manufacturer but most items are overpriced in Nordstrom Rack. Ralph Lauren polo shirts two to three years old are still running $70 even more expensive than the outlet price, basically Nordstrom Rack is overpriced in my opinion and this one in Bakersfield has given me reason to continue to go.

The man followed me all the way outside of the store, so I snapped at him. Yeah. Never coming here again, and I suggest that others don't either. The clothes are cheap because they are terrible quality and probably wouldn't last you a week. My suggestion for the owner is to work on not being so prejudice. I had some money, and tend to be a compulsive spender. You managed to turn me off to that habit unfortunately for you.
