Tixan Construction did an absolutely amazing job renovating our entire house. We found George after an extensive online search and interviews for good contractors in Orange County. All his 5/5 star reviews are absolutely deserved. We bought a fixer-upper townhome that needed a complete refresh and Tixan Construction did a phenomenal job. What started as a dark/worn space is now a modern and bright home that we've received countless compliments on that the transformation can hardly be believed! In addition, some additional highlights from working w/ George/Tixan Construction: * [Great Communication] - George was an excellent communicator throughout our renovation. He provided timely responses to any texts/emails/calls throughout which greatly helped explain and minimize our concerns 1st time home owners. * [Excellent Prices] - George and his team provided excellent pricing for all work performed. Close friends/colleagues familiar with construction confirmed the competitive pricing provided for the work performed. * [Service] - George provided great customer service as he was very willing to provide his expertise and opinion on design and material selections to ensure we maximized the quality within our renovation budget. In addition, he works to ensure excellent quality in his work. As an example, we had some challenges with our stairs creaking and he was willing to revisit free of charge until the sound was either eliminated or minimized as much as possible. Overall, I highly recommend George & Tixan Construction for. He is truly a stand-out General Contractor amongst the crowd.

new shower stall, vanity, flooring, plumbing, mirror. Before wall paper and lighting

I received excellent results from the Tixan crew. My barely functional 1976 bathroom was transformed by them into a beautifully indulgent space. They even figured out a way to increase my already-spacious shower by width and height. It feels super lux now. The drywall/plaster work and tile work are flawless. Big bonus: the crew was amiable, professional, and easy to have around. (The photo is pre-paint and other design touches).

Wall repair, beam sanding and seal, wall and ceiling paint (kitchen work was not done by Tixan)

HIGHLY recommend working with Tixan Construction for all home projects - George and his team showed attention to detail, arrived timely, and worked hard to adjust to a pressing deadline I had. I worked with them specifically for drywall repair prior to painting, painting of ceiling and walls, sanding and sealing of ceiling beam, and pantry refresh. George was highly responsive in brainstorming ideas, and accessible via text and phone as often as I needed. He provided insight as I was already working with alternative flooring vendors, expressing details I should pay attention to and how his team could work within other vendors schedules. He is competent in this field and it shows through in the work. We'll be reaching out to George and the Tixan Construction team for future home projects!

George and his team have been great to work with. We reached out to them for the rebuild of our first floor after water mitigation, and his responses were prompt and professional from the beginning. The rebuild took about 3 weeks in total, which was way faster than we expected. We also appreciate how detail-oriented he was when assessing the type of work that needed to be done for the restoration project. We had a tight timeline, and he was willing to accommodate our schedule. His team did an amazing job restoring the first floor to its original condition (if not better than before the water damage), matching the rebuilt wall textures to the original wall. The areas they covered were the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. They were also able to re-orient the closet so that it would be easier to access, and the new closet looks like it was originally part of the house. For the floor installation, we appreciated how his team took the time to even out the subfloor before installation. The floor was originally installed poorly by some other contractors, so this was a breath of fresh air. We definitely plan to reach out to George and his team again for future renovation projects!

I recently hired George with Tixan Construction for basically a whole house remodel, including a kitchen remodel, flooring installation (both laminate and tile), adding light fixtures, painting my ceilings, fixing the fascia, and installing my new appliances. From start to finish, George exceeded my expectations in every way. I provided a very detailed PDF with specific requests, and I am very nit-picky, and not only did he follow through on every one of my requests, but George went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He changed out things that needed changing and fixed things that needed fixing. Georges communication was top-notch, and I mean TOP notch; which is something I value highly as a consumer. He kept me updated throughout the entire process, always on top of the work and addressing any concerns immediately. And all of his service came at a VERY reasonable price. His pricing was very competitive--I spoke with multiple contractors, and George gave me the best price estimate, and I learned that I rightly chose him without sacrificing quality. Again, the projects completed included a full kitchen remodel, replacing part of my ceiling in one of the rooms where I had significant water damage, painted the rest of my ceilings, remodeling my garage connection room, leveling floors, installed new shower trim in both my bathrooms, installed my multifunction bathroom vents with dimming lights, installed new recessed lighting, installed two new toilets, installed new closet doors in all my rooms and installed, installed my blink floodlight, he and his crew even installed my new appliances with the kitchen. Every aspect of the job was done with precision and care. Also, he was kind enough to conduct a water test for me since I was curious about the condition of my roof, and he and his crew made sure that the house was spotless when they were done with it! Talk about astounding care and commitment to the consumer. If you're looking for a contractor who will bring your vision to life, provide excellent communication, and offer great value, I HIGHLY recommend George. I sincerely believe that if I chose any other contractor or company I would still be waiting for the project to be completed or worse, I would have paid a significant amount more for the same work and probably with a lot less communication and care! (if there's a mess in any of the photos, it's from the moving process; please excuse said mess)

Great communication from quote to completion. High quality work. Punctual. Thanks for the great work.

Would like to recommend George of Tixan Services. We hired him to repair drywall ceiling in our kitchen. I appreciated George's responsiveness via Yelp. He communicated clearly and confirmed the appointment. His pricing was fair. I had contacted a few other businesses for drywall repair and Tixan Services was competitive. George provided sample photos of his work beforehand. I am happy with the quality of the ceiling drywall repair. You would not be able to tell that there were large holes in the ceiling. I will gladly work with George again. I am always looking for skilled a handyman!

Finished project - outside office view with door open

I highly recommend Tixan Construction! There is a reason that they have nearly all 5 star reviews. Their work is done with a very high standard. George is very prompt with communicating via the Yelp app and with phone calls. Our project timeline had a strict deadline of 9/12 and Tixan Construction very easily met that deadline. I reached out on 8/3 for an initial quote - it was a Saturday night when I reached out via Yelp and he quickly offered a quote based on pictures I provided. I gathered 2 other quotes and even though those companies offered slightly better pricing, I just had a gut feeling that Tixan Construction would be right for us - All the reviews/ pictures showed the beautiful, excellent work done by them. George was very fast with the contract draft on 8/7 and got to work 8/19. George evaluated our project and gave us a game plan that made sense to us and answered all questions we had. Eugene worked many hours and perfected his work over this week and George finished out the trim today. Our project finished in one week, which I thought would not be possible!

Tango T.

George helped us assemble and put together this basketball hoop for the kids, we all very happy. Great service, great communication and reasonable price, I strongly recommend Tixan services.

Laundry room / hallway area with the bifold doors installed.

Elizabeth A.

I am very grateful to George for responding quickly and for installing the bifold doors in the laundry room at a fair price. He is friendly, efficient and skilled. It was a tricky job to install the bifold doors because I did not have all the door hardware with me but George was able to get the job done. I am very pleased with his quality service and I would definitely call him again.

I recommend Tixan Services. George T. of Tixan Services has been very responsive in communicating with me through Yelp messaging. He answered my initial request for bids within 15 minutes. He quoted me a reasonable, flat fee for the installation of a retractable screen door. We arranged for him to do the installation and he showed up right on time with a complete tool kit of battery-powered tools. After refreshing himself with the installation instructions for my particular door, he worked quickly and methodically. He presented me with two installation options and explained the pros and cons of each. Once installed, he demonstrated how to operate the door. I am very satisfied with the result, and I will definitely call on him again for special jobs around my house that can benefit from professional experience. read more

George and his team are great at fireplace remodeling and common area remodeling. It's very difficult to find someone skilled and who does exactly what you want in the area. George with Tixan Services did an amazing job on all of the projects I needed done at my house. He installed can lights, replaced our attic entrance with a pull-down ladder entrance, and did an amazing job on a custom closet we needed made for extra storage and cat litter boxes. Not only did he do an exceptional job on all of these projects, but he also gave a fair and competitive price to have them completed. I would definitely recommend him! read more

I'm super pleased with the completed project from George at Tixan. He totally knows what he is doing. He asked me good questions as the project proceeded to ensure it was just the way we wanted. The project was to hang four closet doors barn-door style in a bedroom. He was so precise in how he proceeded. I knew exactly how they were going to hang and line up before he even put one screw in the beam. I'd recommend this company and will use them again. read more

I can't say enough good things about this business. I had a small project in my home. I looked for handymen and found Tixan services. I'm not sure if George is the owner of this business but he was very responsive and easy to communicate. I had many bad experiences/difficulties communicating with contractors so the responsiveness from him was huge for me. On the day of the actual work, he showed up on time, worked quick and super efficiently. Needless to say he left no mess. I still have some projects around my home. Iurii (pronounced Yuri) was a life saver. I ran into him while he was on a house call for my neighbor. He was so friendly I ended up asking him if he could fix my kitchen cabinet that I had been waiting months for my landlord to send someone. Not expecting him to be able to accommodate my last minute and unexpected request, HE DID! We had the pleasure of working with George from Tixan Construction for a customized framing project around our electric fireplace and we couldn't be happier with the results. After comparing three different contractors, Tixan Construction stood out with the most reasonable mid-range pricing, offering excellent value for the quality of work provided. Before this project, we hired George to hang two TVs--one in the family room and a Frame TV in the master bedroom, where he also rerouted the wiring. His professionalism and attention to detail during those jobs gave us the confidence to move forward to hire George as General Contractor with the more complex framing project. George was meticulous, ensuring every aspect of the design and construction was executed with precision. He respected our home space, kept the area clean, and worked carefully throughout the process. On top of that, he offered to follow up in case of any structural settlement, which showed his commitment to long-term quality. The framing has transformed our living space, and George's craftsmanship truly stands out. If you're looking for a skilled, reliable, and reasonably priced general contractor, we highly recommend Tixan Construction. read more

The craftsmanship is outstanding--every tile, fixture, and detail was installed with precision. They also kept the work area clean and were respectful of my home throughout the project. The project was completed on time, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Tixan Construction to anyone looking for high-quality remodeling services. John Christopher Construction built an ADU to my exact specifications, worked with me on a daily…read morebasis, and brought the project to completion in the budget allotted. Ours was not an easy build due to the fact that we had to excavate quite a bit as the ADU was build in to a hillside and near a slope to the rear of my property. If I had to focus on one thing, it would without question be communication. I was assigned a job foreman who guided me through the entire process, listened to my needs, provided me feedback, and helped me along the way with all the little changes that arose during the build. We made a few changes along the way and we were given clear communication of the requested change, as well as a fixed price for the change. The use of sub contractors is a part of any build and each of the contractors selected were respectful of my property and my neighbors, did an above average job, and were a compliment to John Christopers team. I would advise anyone considering an accessory dwelling unit to choose this contractor for the project. We spent a lot of time selecting the right contractor and were even led astray by a few. I can honestly say from my perspective, there's no-one better suited to build a detached ADU than John Christopher Construction. Before choosing John Christopher, we viewed several of their builds in process as well as spoke to some of their employees and customers. We would be happy to host potential customers as the pictures I am attaching to the review don't even come close to doing the ADU credit.

They completely transformed three full bathrooms for us, and the final results are absolutely amazing. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the finished product exceeded our expectations (one of the best tile teams!), and walking into our newly renovated spaces brings us so much joy every day. While a beautiful finished product is important, the most critical part of hiring a general contractor is finding someone you can truly trust. Throughout the entire project, Dani & Sabina proved to be a reliable and deeply professional partner. Remodeling projects inherently come with unexpected hurdles, but it is how a contractor handles those challenges that truly sets them apart. Whenever a problem arose, Dani and his team never once balked at finding a resolution. Every single issue was addressed in a timely, straightforward manner, and they took complete ownership of ensuring everything was done right. We felt fully supported and taken care of from start to finish (Ricardo was a star for us!), and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor who delivers both high-quality work and true peace of mind. We are proud of the work they have done and here are our photos of Before and After! (There were others on the team we want to thank too...like Matias and Jorge!)

TLDR: Proceed with extreme caution. Offered us free work for positive reviews. The lack of…read moreoversight, accountability, and professionalism turned what should have been a straightforward renovation into a drawn-out, stressful ordeal. We recently completed an extensive renovation with D2A, including whole-home interior paint, full kitchen remodel, whole-home flooring, fireplace renovation, and upgraded electrical panel. We were promised an October 2025 completion, but the work did not finish until the end of April 2026. What could have been an exciting home project became prolonged, exhausting, and unnecessarily difficult. Dani/D2A operates far more as a sales-focused or front-facing contact than a contractor capable of actively managing a complex remodel. Once the contract was signed, the level of involvement and management dropped significantly. There was no meaningful oversight, no proactive quality control, and no walkthrough or presentation of completed areas or phases of work. We were left to give specific direction to workers directly and had to inspect everything ourselves at every stage, repeatedly reporting problems that should have been caught internally. The volume and severity of issues were unacceptable. Our stairs were initially installed with finishing nails sticking up and severely uneven steps that required a full redo; even after the redo, we were left with creaking steps that we accepted. Cabinet paint and installation required extensive correction, causing months of delays where we had no handles on our cabinets. The backsplash was installed incorrectly and had to be completely redone. Flooring was installed below standard over uneven foundation, with no mention of an option, added cost or not, to properly address it until after all work was completed. Correcting it then would have extended the construction-site state of our home for additional weeks, so we chose to cut our losses rather than endure another round of disruption. These were not minor punch-list items. They were obvious, avoidable mistakes reflecting a lack of basic craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication processes, and oversight. Instead of addressing these issues professionally, Dani was frequently defensive and dismissive, minimizing legitimate concerns rather than taking ownership. While all issues caused by his team's work except the uneven flooring were eventually corrected at no added monetary cost, this came only after weeks of debate and deflection. The eventual solution was asking us to take time off work to be present for all work done for weeks, despite our clear, detailed documentation of what needed to be done. Often, after we spent hours preparing a documented plan and providing it to D2A, workers would arrive and tell us they had never received the information, then look to us for direction. Our oversight got the job done, but it required costly time off from work and reduced the value of paying for a general contractor's expertise. As a married couple, we also experienced a clear and troubling difference in communication: when wife asked questions, responses were often belittling or disrespectful, while the same questions from husband were met with a noticeably more professional tone. The project extended roughly six additional months, and the repeated delays and rework resulted in real, out-of-pocket costs for our family. We had to stay in Airbnbs with our young child because the home was not safe to occupy during some stages of the extra construction. This disruption was avoidable and resulted from poor management and repeated mistakes. Perhaps most concerning, during the final sign-off, when the cost to correct the uneven foundation under the flooring was discussed, Dani offered to cover that work in exchange for both husband and wife leaving a positive review. Since online reviews played a role in our decision to hire D2A, this raises serious concerns about the integrity of their reputation. Proceed with extreme caution.

Right from the get go, it was clear that he is an honest person and gave us a lot of confidence that he will be able to handle the project. We had to wait a few months to get the permit approval from the city, and Micky followed up with the permit officers diligently. He had his team ready to jump in with the demo, and started working on the project immediately after we received the permits. The project took a couple of months longer than expected (in part because we asked for some changes, and in part because Micky had underestimated some of the work). But we did not mind the delay as it was clear that Micky's team was doing the work properly and not cutting corners. One piece of advice: Micky gives you accurate timelines for his material options, but if you want other options then you will have to be on top of it yourself to make sure you get it in time. This is understandable, and once we realized it, we were able to better forecast when certain aspects of the project will be completed. Micky is just an amazing human being - kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. The patience paid off. We now live in one of the best houses on the street (which was previously an eye sore). Our sincere gratitude for Micky and his team. We will seek his company out for future projects.
