I find it so rude when you come into a store to make a purchase and for 15 min nobody even acknowledges that you've come in. I get it you might be busy, but it takes zero effort to at least make eye contact and say welcome to the store, or we will be right with you if you need any help. I miss natural fiber clothing. Title Nine now seems to offer only synthetic fiber clothing-- basically plastic. It's marketed as "performance material", but again, it's just petroleum-based plastic material. Please bring back cotton, wool and plant-based clothing. Nothing beats natural. Amazing Experience today at Title Nine. The store is open but because of Covid concerns I wanted to make sure they could help fit me for a new undergarment ( Bra), I called and made an appointment to have a fit consultation today. I'm not exactly sure why this store sort of sucks. The clothes are pretty cute - if you like REI or Patagonia, you're going to love everything on the rack. With the new remodel, it's laid out better than it was before, and every now and then there's a really cute pooch hanging out. But the place does not inspire loyalty. I've bought my share of merchandise. I check in maybe once a week to see if they have anything new. I've attempted to exchange pleasantries with nearly every member of the staff at one time or another. Hell, I live so close I could spit on their heads as they leave for the day. I live upstairs! Still - they never remember me. No recognition. No 'hey, nice to see you again!" Okay, so what. Don't remember that I was in here on Tuesday. But then, don't look at me like I'm interrupting your monumentally important discussion of what CD should be played next. I get more genuine cheer from a dentist visit. [I also hate their whole 'strong women' marketing routine, but that's not their fault] Yesterday, I stopped in to check out their summer dresses. I went around the store, I looked for sizes, I finally went into a dressing room. Not one acknowledgement from the THREE staffers at the register. Why would they acknowledge me, the customer, when they could giggle together, and talk about whether the samples at Trader Joe's are gross or not? What a waste of time actually SELLING clothes would be. Now I've been in the Flagship Prada in NYC and a dozen little boutiques in San Francisco, and I have never run into such do-nothing, fake-cheerful, condescending help as in Title Nine. After my experience here, I'll never buy from them in store or in catalog. I drove up from T-town just to check out a couple of things I saw in the catalog. These ladies judge you as you walk in. I wasn't worthy, so I was ignored as I walked in, and the multiple staff members all helped one person at the register. No one asked me if I needed any help, of course, so I flagged someone down. "Do you have any more of these in other sizes?" "No." The saleswoman walked away after that, without apologizing for the short supply, offering to catalog order one for me, or suggesting another product. Since no one was helping me, I went into a dressing room to try something on, and apparently I walked into someone else's room while they were out on the floor. I knew this because the customer and the saleswomen were TALKING ABOUT ME behind my back. As soon as I opened the curtain, the saleswoman barged in on my room to kick me out. I'm never going to buy anything as a second-class citizen. Prepared to be treated like crap here. read more

A previous reviewer indicated that they'll ship something for you without paying for shipping, yet a few weeks later they were going to charge me for shipping an out-of-stock item from their Portland store. What gives? Two stars to Title 9 overall because aforementioned item never arrived, no phone call to explain that they weren't going to ship it or charge me for the product and shipping. By the time I realized that it wasn't going to happen, they were were sold out of my size on-line, too. Based on the feedback from reviewers on-line, Title 9 seems to run out of stock quickly regardless of whether it is a sale item or not. Frustrating, indeed. They have some attractive prints and fabrics but I'll stick to REI who at least offers free shipping to their store (or to your home if you purchase over $75). read more

Three customers in the store (including me), and two sales staff. I shopped around for about 10 minutes, even tried some things on, and not once did a salesperson even look my way. I even stood in front of the dressing rooms holding up some clothes, trying to get someone's approval to go in, and no one noticed me. One was ringing up a customer and the other was busy fawning over a customer's little dog. The catalog always makes me want to go in, but the store doesn't have nearly as much as the catalog. I've been in a few times previously, and I've had at least one salesperson who helped me a while back, but today's experience makes me think I won't be back. read more

I've been a longtime online shopper at Title Nine, but I had never been into a store until I happened upon this one just a few blocks from my new house. I've been in twice already and both times was approached by friendly staff. The second time I had a great gal help me try out sports bras - bra shopping is something I usually associate with frustrating and long ordeals, but after asking me about my needs, the first one she picked off the rack was a perfect fit. Score! T9 prices aren't inexpensive, but they do stand behind their products, offering a full year for full refunds or exchanges - even on worn merchandise. The in-store selection (especially of sales items) is not nearly as extensive as online, but I think having a store nearby will be a plus when it comes to trying things on before buying and being able to return online purchases quickly in person. read more

I love the catalog, I want to love the store. I love that Title Nine makes it easy to find the right sport bra. Their rating system is truly helpful, and the staff at this location are really helpful in finding the right bra for you. They'll also order the color you want if they don't have it in stock, and will ship it to you for free. They will, in fact, do that for whatever is in their current catalog. This brings me to wanting to love the store. You see, all of my last purchase at the store was shipped to me, because they had none of it in stock in my size. It seems that this store has a lot more lifestyle clothing (yoga pants that you don't actually do yoga in, dresses) than actual workout gear, aside for bras. This is a major disappointment for me, as I really want more functional clothing, and I don't want to go to Road Runner. The staff was great, and let me have extra time after hours to finish my shopping and trying on of stuff. I definitely recommend coming here if you're near Green Lake. read more

I have shopped at the Bellevue location and have loved the products and return policy. I wish I could give the Woodlawn location more stars but I am being generous with the rating because I love what I purchased and if needed I will get better service with the return in Bellevue. I walked in at 4pm to the Woodlawn store that had a couple of other customers on a sunny Seattle Saturday. I received the obligatory "hello,how are you?" And promptly ignored the rest of my time in the store. The two women working were enjoying their conversation more than helping myself or the other guests in the store. I had to ask if I could try something on, no checking on if things might need another size or fit. I could over hear them chatting about weekend plans. I changed, found my size and went to pay. I was asked "if I found everything ok?" Ummm yeah without either of them lifting a finger. She tried to make small talk but the phone rang mid conversation. Clearly who ever was on the other end was far more important than a customer spending $200, nicely done Woodlawn sales associates. You left an impression alright I won't shop at this location ever again nor recommend it to others. I can do better ordering online and get more personal service from a computer screen. read more

Wow, after reading some of these reviews, I wonder what store you were visiting. Everytime I shop at T9 is a good experience - I either come away with a purchase or knowledge of the next sale, or something equally choice. The staff always recognizes me, and unlike REI, I don't have to wait 20 minutes for a dressing room. I've even had them track down a dress of which there were only 3 left in the company of my size - and they were all on hold for other customers. When one of the customers decided not to purchase it, I got a call from a T9 shop in Madison, WI - via my local Greenlake shop - and they shipped it right over. That's service. It's one thing to knock the products (which nobody seems to be doing), yet another thing to knock the store for a bad experience you had in the dressing room with someone else's dog. Maybe the entire staff has changed over from the time when all of the reviews were about their inattentiveness - try them now. Or don't, and leave the good sizes for me. read more

I've been rotating through six sports bras from a Title Nine for the last three-ish years and had to update my stock only because my activities have changed. Those six saw weekly use, and I'm really impressed with how they stood up. Even though the prices can be a little jarring, it's totally worthwhile. I went in close to closing time and thought I'd find what I needed quickly. It turned out that I had to get measured and try a few things on, so it took longer than I thought. Kristina listened to my concerns and gave some great pointers and feedback about proper fit. I left with two to try, and tested one during a 10k immediately. What I love about this place: layout of store is easy to navigate. Staff are helpful and friendly. Best sports bra selection on the planet in one spot. The clothes are indestructible. The only downsides (is it fair to say this?) expect to pay a hefty price for what you buy and items are form fitting (if you are not in shape, it shows!). On vacation last week, I was visiting the running track around Green Lake and was so excited to see this store nearby. I've been a fan of their catalog for a few years. I went in and blew $200, with the rationale that at least I didn't have to pay for shipping, or worry about returns. So great to be able to try things on before purchase. I was pleased to be able to find everything I'd been eyeballing in their fall catalog. I suppose I'm lucky they don't have this store in NYC, or I might have a skinnier wallet. Seriously though, I could have bought half of the outfits in the store. I work in a creative office, so casual and sporty yet smart clothes are what I wear. I probably wouldn't shop here for serious camping or sporting wear, but they do have a great selection of sports bras for every body type and sport. If you find yourself hmmmming at the Land's End, LL Bean and Eddie Bauer catalogs, but then think to yourself "Oh but my mom shops here," then be sure to check out Title Nine. ;) read more

If you're looking for adorable, unique clothes to play around in - this store is fantastic! Their selection and customer service beat REI anytime!!! The sales ladies are super friendly and totally accommodating - spent lots of time getting me different sizes and made great suggestions. If you need sports bras, they have a huge wall full of bras - loads of styles and sizes. The gal that helped fit me for a sports bra was totally informative and made such a dreadful experience (i mean honestly, who actually likes bra shopping??!?) completely worthwhile. Knowledgeable about fit and different bras for different activities. No body shaming, lots of laughs, and enough privacy and time to figure out what you need. These reviews are sort of, ah, ancient. I came in looking for biking clothes, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Not only were they not pushy, but the saleswoman was able to suggest several alternative materials and stores that had them without batting an eye. She even gave me directions to the Ibex and REI when I mentioned that I had already visited Gregg's. Stores for women's clothing generally have a sort of tense vibe, since dealing with the occasional entitled rich woman is not for the faint of heart. They seemed relatively chill here, though. Incidentally, I am a little biased, since, when I left some motorcycle gloves there, I was contacted post-haste to have them mailed 1000 miles to me. If something's wrong, call at 7pm for the manager (right after closing). In my experience if it's really not right, she'll MAKE it right. Savvy business-lady. read more

I truly enjoy shopping here. While I am not the poster child for all their fits and styles, I still find clothes that flatter me. I am 65 years old, 5 feet tall, and large busted and thick waisted... I have to work at it and try a lot of things on but it works. The manager, Carly, and salesperson Jolene are both very knowledgeable and caring. They both worked very hard at showcasing various articles I may like. They are friendly and it is obvious they enjoy what they do. I spent about 2 hours in the store and saw how they worked with various customers... all giving them personal attention. Whenever I am in Seattle (I live in Boston) I visit the store. After seeing a co-worker in an adorable Title Nine dress, and then looking online, I couldn't wait to go to the store. I had a very strange experience there! I walked in, no greeting. Then found a few items to try on and the sales clerk pointed to the dressing rooms consisting of curtained room which I don't normally consider a problem. As I was trying on bras, and a dress, a very smelly little dog popped into my room. He was attached to a leash in the dressing room next door, but the owner didn't seem to think it was a problem that her dog was no longer in her dressing room. Since he was one of those underbite dogs with a smashed nose, I was trying to stay away from him so he wouldn't cover my shins in doggy slobber. I politely told him he didn't belong in my dressing room, and his owner must have gotten the hint. In spite of that experience, I did decide to purchase a sports bra. There were two clerks, and one was training the other so as I was waiting my clerk would stop and assist the other one as I stood there. The register process took ten minutes in spite of the fact that there were only two of us, and two clerks. I'm not usually picky, and I really do like dogs but this was a decidedly unpleasant experience. I'll stick to Lulu Lemon for yoga clothes. read more

I don't expect (or really want) a salesperson to follow me around the store, but I also don't like to feel like I'm interrupting someone's social time to ask a question. I visited Title Nine for the first time last weekend based of a recommendation from a friend. All I needed was a new sports bra, so I got there right after the store opened so I was the only person in there. I was greeted promptly, taken over to the sports bra section, measured and then the sales lady picked out 3 bras to start with and proceeded to check each one for fit and comfort and bring me new options as we went along. It probably took me 30-45 minutes before I found the right bra, with the right fit, but the sales lady was with me the whole time. I appreciated her dedication to me and to finding the right one. I wish I had caught her name, because she made the whole process stress-free for me. And, after doing my first CrossFit workout in my new bra, I know for sure she helped me pick the perfect one for me! I'll definitely be back. read more

This location is great! My girlfriend showed me one of the catalogs for Title Nine and I was totally sold. She said that they have the best fit for sports bras. More specifically, ones for ladies with C+ cup size. I was grateful to find ones that fit well and were colorful. When I found one that wasn't the color I wanted, the manager helped me find one online and she shipped it to my house free of charge! I was so impressed the service I would highly recommend. The prices are def steep but worth it for the fancy designs and selection. Bravo! read more

On multiple occasions. At one point, I wanted something to take out of town with me as I was about to leave on vacation, that they did not have in stock- they waved the shipping AND had it expedited so I got in 2 or 3 days. Amazing. I was able to take it to Hawaii with me. Whenever I have had questions, or been hunting for a size or have wanted to order something or return something, I have received warm, respectful help. Thanks guys! Great shopping environment. The woman who fits bras is SO know it all that when I said I could barely breath it was so tight, she said it SHOULD be, and when I wanted a larger size she gave me a look like I was completely wrong, but "okay, do what you want"....you will get horrible results, kind of look. I got the same look when I had to return what she talked me into because I could not fasten it. The younger girl returning the item gave me the same treatment, they are so snobby about what "they know", they don't care what you say or feel. They just wouldn't believe what was comfortable for me and cared more about what they have been taught? It was the condescending looks that were the worse part. read more

Went to Title Nine after the salesman at Jock and Jill said they had a larger selection of bras. I'm originally from Texas, and the store in Austin was great. They have some great bras, but the saleswoman was way too pushy. Even after nicely telling her twice we just wanted to look around - she proceeded to tell us about discounts in clothing. Wonderful merchandise, and very friendly staff. I visited to return some items that didn't fit after ordering them online, and was encouraged (very nicely) to look around for other items. No questions asked about the returns; I found 2 fabulous dresses on sale, and they were super-sweet to my dogs (since I was going to Green Lake, of course the dogs were coming, too) and the sales staff even let my 2 pups come into the dressing room with me! I had a great experience at Title Nine and it was all because of the friendly and helpful sales staff. I had looked at the Title Nine catalog for years but never bought anything because I can never gauge fit for my body. I stopped in and ended up spending over an hour in that small store. There were at least 3, maybe 4, sales staff there and every one I interacted with was nice and helpful. No one was pushy or made me feel like crap because I'm a little out of shape. I tried on LOTS of clothes. I felt like I got the help I needed from the staff without feeling imposed upon or pressured. The general vibe I got was that this was a group of young women who enjoyed their job, enjoyed each other, and enjoyed the clothes and as a small business owner myself I realize that this is a valuable dynamic to have. They were having fun, with each other and with the clients, so it was easy to relax and enjoy the process of shopping. I found some skorts and a dress that I adore and will go back next time I am kid-free and have time to shop! read more
