So let me start by saying this, I am not one to complain, it takes a lot for me to. I bought new tires from tires plus in April or March 2017. It took me a while to notice, but the drivers side back tire only had 3 bolts and lugnuts instead of 4. Called tires plus, they ordered the part and said come in when they open in the morning. Drove down there, only for them to tell me they are too busy. This happened again 3 times. I finally decided to call tires plus corporate. Next day I get a phone call and they are magically not busy. The manager advised he had been short staffed, and I understand that. However, this was their mistake it should have been corrected at once. I gave them three stars because they owned up to the mistake and finally fixed it. They are very nice and friendly, no complaints there. read more

Sat. 7/7/17, I took my truck in to get an alignment. (I hit a curb pretty bad). They were not busy at all. Only one car on the rack and no others outside. Parking lot was empty. I told them I needed an alignment. The technician called his manager upfront. The manager said his lift is not capable of doing an alignment on my truck because it is too big. I have a 1998 Chevy k3500 crewcab. I have done an alignment at tires plus in the past with the same vehicle. He said I need to go to the shop on N. mccarran. I went to the 1250 N. mccarran shop. Spoke to chris the manager. He said they are capable of doing it at any tires plus shop and they all have the same size lifts. He said that I was the 4th person that was sent over from the galleria shop in sparks that day. It wouldn't of been a big deal except that the N. Mccarran shop was so busy that I had to leave my truck over night and didn't get done untill later afternoon on Sunday. The issue is not the N. Mccarran shop being too busy(I didn't have an appointment), but rather that the manager at the galleria shop was too damn lazy to do his job. Now I was inconvenienced and 3 others that same day. You guys need to set the manager at galleria straight or you will lose business. read more

I made an appointment a day in advance for a service to be done. I showed up 10 minutes prior to my appointment time and was told it would be another 2 hours before they could get my car on the rack. He then asked if I could leave the car with them, even though I told him when I called that I would be waiting for the car. He asked if I lived close, as if he wanted me to just walk home and leave the car with them. He asked if there was someone that could pick me up. Mind you, it's mid morning on a work day in the middle of the week, everyone I know is working. What's the point in having an appointment if the establishment isn't going to honor the time frame? When I told my story to a buddy of mine, he said the same thing happened to him 3 times in the same day. They kept asking him to come back at a certain time, then they would push it back or not get around to it. He went elsewhere for his car to be serviced. The only good thing this shop did for me, was call down the street to the competitor to see if they could service my car if I came in right away. The competitor said yes. So when I walked out that door, I walked out for good. I will never come back to this establishment nor recommend this establishment to anyone that is need of any service for their car. By not honoring a scheduled appointment which I based my whole day around shows poor customer service. And it shows to me that my time and money isn't worth anything to them. I will say this however, the competitor down the street had won me over by their customer service and by servicing my car right when I came in as they said they would. Don't waste your time and money in this location of tires plus...they'll just make it convenient for them as opposed to the convenience of the consumer. read more

The check engine light came on the other day. I took it to this place. The manager (Steve) always welcoming and friendly tried the computerized diagnostic but was not able to get a reading because a fuse had been blown. He quickly figured out that it was the new dash cam that was responsible for the blown fuses. So then he replaced the fuse again and this time got a reading. To make a story short he took care of the problem quickly and efficiently beyond my expectation. I felt that I was taken care of the best way possible. We have been a customer for the last year or so and are always happy with their honesty, friendliness, and quality of work. I definitely recommend the Tire Plus for anyone who is looking for a shop that have the know how and integrity. read more

Had been a customer for many years, buying several sets of tires and having repairs done. When I asked to have my automatic transmission serviced they refused due to the mileage. I was asked if it was ever serviced before and yes, it was. No paper work to show for the previous service so I was basically called a liar and the service was refused. I guess they do not care about customer loyalty and can afford to refuse money. My business will be elsewhere forever. read more

This place is so great. Everyone is so friendly and so nice. I'm a struggling college student and I have an older car. My car has been through 6 mechanics in the last month and no work done because of how rude and how high prices were. As a young lady it's the worst going into a mechanic and know they are taking advantage of you. But not this place. I did business with this place for over 4 years! They wound up selling me a new engine for my car and never change the timing belt which is usually mandatory when you replace an engine. A couple months later my engine started making a weird noise and it was already destroyed again because of the old timing belt they never replaced had slipped creating damage to the rods and pistons I don't ever recommend anyone doing business with these people! Of course my warranty was up and they wanted to charger me another 3,500 for a refurbished engine! F that! They come off very nice and helpful upfront but they are basically clueless when it comes to doing basic auto repair! Several times before, there were other problems they kept replacing things in the car that didn't need to be replaced and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it because they're obviously obtuse and inexperienced! I was sick of this, so I had taken my car to another auto repair shop, it was fixed right away! They knew the problem upfront just another example of how ridiculously incompetent these people really are @ Tires Plus! Don't use this shop. They wound up costing me about 10 grand in repairs because of their incompetence! Things kept seeming to fall apart and they just blamed it on my car, eventually it was too late and I figured out I was being taken advantage of! read more

Slow service for a oil change,tire rotation and a patch, waited 2 hours for this to be done on my car when I watched the tech horse around and be lazy. One guy asked me if I wanted the tire patched and I said yes the 20 mins later another person came up and said so are we going to patch this tire. Not impressed my brother works at a place just like this and said they would get in trouble for having a car in the bay that long for that service read more

I've been to many tires plus, and may I say this is the worst one in Reno/sparks. I had asked their manager to please check my fluids and oil changed before a long trip to Vegas. Throughout all services, i dealt with the manager himself, Steve Santos. He assures me everything will be checked. 2 hours into our trip, turns out my car had no coolant. So after asking if everything was checked and filled and the okay to go, I drove into the desert in 100 degree heat with no coolant thanks to Sparks tires plus. I also had a jeep Cherokee brought in for standard oil change. The same manager told me there was a leak in another part of the jeep so right after the oil change there, I took the jeep to my girlfriends father to fix a different leak. Her father told me as he was double checking, tires plus had not oiled the oil filter before replacing it so her oil filter was put in dry which is a very bad thing. With all these things in mind, a few months later I go back to tell the SAME manager the situation. He was insisting that everything was perfect and they did nothing wrong. He kept telling me other things that had no relevancy to their horrible service. He did not apologize and did not want to keep our business. Pretty much it was and, "Oh well, that sucks," kind of situation. They have horrible service, rude, and absolutely ignorant, especially the manager himself. $70 oil change and couldn't even check my coolant and when you bring it to their attention, it's not their job to check even when you personally ask the store Manager, Steve Santos. I told him I was never coming back, and will I also tell everyone I know that this tires plus is one big rip off in price and service. They do not o things correctly ever since they had to complete oil changes under 30 minutes. Rush job, rush service, rude manager. read more

I have always purchased Costco tires so have free tire repair with Costco, but when I purchased a new car Costco wouldn't touch the tires that came with the car. Lots of construction where I work and I have had two flat tires which were very promptly repaired at Tires Plus. And the last flat I had there was some question about whether the tire could be repaired, but they found it could be repaired and did so. Additionally I griped about several other costly repairs I had on things that day and after my tire was repaired the manager told me he knew I had a bad day so he didn't even charge me for the repair. read more

This place is dishonest and nobody takes any accountability. Got my oil changed at tires plus and the next day my brakes locked up. Had it towed back to Tires Plus and had them look at it. They said I had to take it to the dealership. I had it towed to the dealership and the mechanic tells me that somebody put the wrong brake fluid in there. Could cost between $998 and $3000 depending on how bad the damage is. I went back to Tires Plus and the service manager tells me that nobody put brake fluid in there. (Of course not)Contacted my insurance and filed a claim. Claim was started. I got a call from the insurance adjuster and she tells me that tires plus denies everything and said they told me I needed brakes 2yrs ago!! Wtf?! What's that got to do with the wrong brake fluid in there!! My vehicle will be ready tomorrow but no word from my insurance yet because the employees at Tires Plus are lying. I get it. Somebody tried to do the right thing and fill the brake fluid because it was low and put the wrong one in there. But Jesus, admit it. Places like tires plus have insurance that covers accidents like this. But now I'm stuck hoping that my insurance covers this mess. I will never go to Tires Plus and I will tell everybody I know not to. read more

Took my vehicle in to get new tires, and an alignment. After waiting hours I get the call to pick it up. Head in just to hear the news that it will cost me an extra six hundred dollars to have work done just for an alignment. Decided to have a second opinion on that. After having only my new tires put on I had to take my truck back two separate times due to it shaking very badly and not only that but I don't know if the techs know how to work a lift or not but before I took my truck in I know for a fact my ABS and Emergency brake light were not going on. So after the horrible service I decided to take it to Les Schwab where they told me all I need is new shocks and then an alignment. they cant figure out what the less then rookie techs at this shop did to cause my ABS and Emergency brake light to come on and stay on. Be warned people this plus will scam you big time for stuff you don't need. If your going to take your vehicle here I recommend a second opinion before letting them work on your car! read more

Really poor customer service! This was the 2nd time I had been in this shop in the 13 years I have lived in this area. I had forgotten how rude they were to me the first time I went in (I believe it was their grand opening), and so I had made an appointment recently to get spark plugs changed, an oil change, and brakes checked as it is suggested in the maintenance schedule of my car. The man started saying there was no reason to change the spark plugs unless the check engine light was on. However, I know it was on the service schedule for good maintenance. Basically, he didn't want to do the work because he kept saying how hard it is to change them on my car since they are a challenge to reach (ummm, that's what I would have been paying you for!). Then he started insulting my car by saying how old it is and that it has a lot of mileage on it (a little over 200K) and most people with this make/model of car (Saturn Vue) don't keep it over 150,000-180,000. And then he started saying it was junk, it belongs in a junk yard, and that when other owners trade-in these cars, they just go directly into a pick-n-pull lot. HOW RUDE!!! We still see a lot of these cars out on the roads and I've talked with other owners and many people are still very happy with them. I also know through research that these cars usually last at least twice the mileage I have on this one with proper maintenance, which is what I was trying to do. I simply said I would take it elsewhere to have any needed work done and left. They have forever lost any potential business from me and anybody else I am able to deter from them. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to be treated poorly! read more

Went in for an alignment because car was pulling to the left. Was told after paying that I needed new tires. Huh... the tires were only 6 months old. After leaving I noticed the car was now pulling to the right. I was told this would "correct". After a two weeks of driving it I called them about getting it checked again. I will never do business with this company ever again. I work full time and have kids, so I sent my mom to go get tires with whom ever she wanted to go to. She thought this place was professional, which they were, but only to ruin my car and to rip off my mom into buying expensive tires. They told her buy these expensive tires and we'll give you $100 rebate through the company website. My mom is in her 50s and did not know better, but this company lied to my mom saying she would get a $100 rebate. They gave her a rebate reciept that said buy tires between July 25th- August 31st and you get your $100 back. They told her to go online to submit your rebate. My mom purchased the tires in APRIL!!! They gave her a rebate that already didn't fit the qualifications of the purchase. So don't do business here because the technicians are not reliable either, they ruined the alignment on my vehicle. My mom went back looking for answers and they lied to her face once again, saying there's nothing they can do about it now. I had to take my car somewhere else to fix my alignment and this place has been a disaster since the beginning. This is a real comment, I live in Spanish Springs NV. Don't go here unless you want problems. I hope more bad reviews go to this company, so the company can go under. I had a horrible experience. I got a coupon and took my car there last year for an alignment. They were super nice, put my car up on the rack, checked it out, came back in and very concerned-like explained how my car was so far out of alignment and needed several parts replaced, so the bill would be $450. I almost fainted. They said they could put it all back together for me or do the work now while I waited and even give me a 1 year guarantee so I could bring it back before then to get it realigned and talk then about extending the guarantee to 3 years. Fast forward to now, almost a year later, I did what they suggested and took it in for a pre-year check and to talk about extending the guarantee. They said my car was in "really bad shape" and needed parts and tons of labor, to the tune of $1,100 and I would have to come back and leave it there for an entire day. I almost fainted, again. When I pointed out that some of the parts they wanted to replace were the same ones they replaced last year, they took that off the quote. When I pointed out that they also had a re-alignment charge on the quote and I was entitled to get realigned free for 1 year, they took that off. They gave me an updated quote for $970. I told them there's no way I can afford that, so they offered me a $25 off any service coupon and 100% financing. I declined, took my car and the quote and left. I went to my regular mechanic, he checked it out, said the car was fine and the parts were all good. He referred me to another alignment shop that "wouldn't rip me off". I went there the following weekend. I had never met the people before and didn't tell them anything about what had happened, just that I needed an alignment. They told me it would be $60-70 depending on how far out of alignment it was. After 45 minutes they were done, said everything was fine, and in fact it was hardly out of alignment at all so the bill was only $40. I almost fainted, but this time in a good way. I just can't believe that Tires Plus was more than willing to take $1,100 out of my pocket, even finance it if they had to, all for no reason. Now I totally question their honesty and integrity with the $450 work they charged me for last year. For all I know, they never even replaced any parts and just took my money. I'll never, never go there again! read more
