Do not go to this tire store. They take 2 to 3 hours and possibly two days to change one tire. My sister was in that place for three hours for two days Tuesday and Wednesday because they said they did not have her tire. When she returned Wednesday there still was no tire but one was on the way. Maybe 45 mi utes she was told. In the Mean time a man came in and stated I only have an hour and a half to wait. He got his tires all four within an hour. This company ckrrarly discriminates against older women and are disrespectful of their time. Finally after waiting three hours her tire arrived and they had the nerve to charge her fifty dollars to put on one tire. What the heck. This company is disgraceful. Do not trust them. Absolutely avoid at all cost. Went in for a $800 fix. Took my truck back 5 times, yes (5). Told me I needed an extra $3500 in parts. Never had a problem with the motor. All of a sudden the truck won't start & blowing white smoke out the exhaust. Never took responsibility & told me to pick up my truck that didn't run after that. PS, I was in the friend & family plan. I had my 2 front tires replaced. While my Car was on the rack I was Told I needed brakes bad. THE rotor was measured as a zero and Pads 1. I said thank you. Coincidentally My son that lives with me works for a different tires plus. He laughed and said if rotors were a zero it would be Squealing. Then inspected everything and said their not perfect but not bad. On the paper it also said I needed my Air filter done. My son did it 3 days prior. My tires are good but I don't find this place worthy of my trust. read more

Avoid at all cost. Do not trust them with your vehicle. I bought a set of tires from Tires Plus. At an oil change I noticed that the inner tire tread of my front two tires were severely worn. The rest of the tire set was still great looking (almost perfect) and were still well under warranty. It was obviously misaligned during mounting. I took my car back to the Tires Plus. They wouldn't even look at the tires. I asked about the warranty and he shrugged his shoulders. I looked at the other attendant Randy, who I spoke to on the phone and asked me to bring it in "So they can take care of me", and he wouldn't even make eye contact. So I left and will never return. The fact that they won't even check the tires or honor a warranty says a lot about how they feel about customers. I've been coming to this location since late last year. (Before that, I brought my car to the Oviedo location. I trusted that location and they always took care of me - warrantied parts and service whenever possible, etc. The kind of guys you'd bring cookies to.) I was a little skeptical of this one at first - I'd been a customer in Oviedo since grad school (about four years). My 1st visit to *this* location (for an oil change) was on New Year's Day. I was pleased to see that they were open, but the manager seemed less so. However, visits since then have been pretty good. My Saturn is going on 15 years old, so I've had typical and unusual service appts. Prices seem fair enough, and the coupons help. I find that they're honest when it comes to what's critical, and not. (That helps when multiple issues come up in one visit.) My most recent visit was expensive, and I brought it back the next day because the problem wasn't completely solved. (Check engine light came on two days ago. When I brought it in, they serviced or repaired a stuck coolant sensor - giving false readings of low coolant - and several ignition coil, etc problems. I was pleased to find out they did what they could for me price wise, since the total was so high. Problem seemed to be solved, until the light came on again yesterday morning. I was able to bring it by after work, and it was done this afternoon. I was happy to see they didn't charge for any service, since I was just there the day before. I'll stick by them. TP was recommended to me by a Saturn dealer, when the brand was going away. If I had to think of bad thing(s), I wish they had a larger customer parking lot, and a little easier way to get back to the service bay lot. It also gets tiresome hearing the same spiel re: the TP credit card, but that happens at every location. It's a corporate thing. They stop offering when I politely decline. Service techs and management are courteous and helpful. Overall, I haven't found a reason to totally dislike this one. read more

This store is practicing shady business tactics. I had a Kia Optima brought in with an intermittent issue for the AC. The entire reason for bringing the car in was to evaluate the compressor. This store called back and said there's nothing wrong they could find with the compressor, but they would like to add a dye in case there was a leak. They also mentioned the car needing new valve cover gaskets and recommended that change right away. Immediately after they finished changing the valve cover gaskets, they confirmed the compressor is bad. That's when it became immediately apparent that they lied earlier about finding nothing wrong with the compressor, so that they could upsell the valve cover gaskets first. This kind of underhanded business practice is inexcusable. read more

This is a dispute regarding Tires Plus diagnostics on my squealing sound coming from my passenger side tire area. I went to Tires Plus to look into my tire wheel area. They said they needed to do a diagnostics on my car to determine this. I inquired why they need a diagnostics on my ENGINE when it was coming from my WHEEL area and stops when I press on the brake (Which has NOTHING to do with my engine). They took me back and showed me where the noise was coming from and red flags popped up all over the place because what they said I needed to do was TOTALLY inaccurate as I had replaced everything they said I needed to replace. I wanted to correct them but at that time I could see the employee was not even sure himself where it was coming from and I immediately knew this was a loss cause. Which is why I refused to return there the following day. I also noticed that they lied on the paper stating the reason for a diagnostics was "At idle makes a weird vibrating sound from under the hood". They ADDED this without my consent to what appears to make an engine analysis. I later filed a complaint with BBB showing they are using this to scam customers into getting an engine diagnostics which is not necessary for a wheel squealing sound. BBB claim/report found here: ID 11935266 My engine is in perfect condition. In fact I took my car to a dealership to have them tell me where the sound was coming from. They recommended me replacing certain things for OEM parts (which were inferior and lesser quality than what I had installed and this is normal for the dealer to recommend) but told me the sound was ultimately coming from the Caliper attached to the wheel assembly part and said they could replace the caliper for $85.00. They recommended some other items, but as they said it wasn't necessary, and they rebutted all of what Tires Plus said I needed to do. In fact they were floored at the cost and outcome of my visit when I showed them the paper. No place on their "diagnostics" states my caliper is the cause of my noise issue. In fact they didn't even show me the form where my car was "plugged into a machine" and the print out from the machine that indicated the results. Lastly if it was plugged in, where is the results for my squealing issue from my tire area on that machine? That's why I was there. Also notice that on Auto Nation it doesn't say anything about "vibrating under the hood" when I brought my car there. Everything about this experience was shady and not what I was paying for. Even the print out forms they gave me doesn't say "Caliper" on it. In fact they wanted me to do almost $1,000.00 on repairs that weren't even the cause of the issue and a gross indication of the mechanics here which none of the "recommended repairs" would of resolved my issue that Auto Nation found and fixed. Then they say I needed to replace my Rotor both my front ones. BOTH my rotors aren't even 3 months old, and the sound was coming from ONE side NOT both. I replaced them from parts from Rockauto.com, paid a professional to install them and can provide proof if needed. My CV axle was replaced not even 6 months ago, and I had that done professionally because my car was at 150k miles and did that back in October. Lastly my power steering has nothing to do with my noise from my caliper. This is my response from their lucrative and gross negligence in diagnosing my car, and recommending repairs that are unnecessary and for NOT finding my cause for the squeaking sounds from my passenger side tire which caused me to go to a dealer to isolate the issue and repair. They do good work but initial quotes are usually non-competitively high and at times a complete rip-off. Shop around for better pricing even when your car is already at the shop. They'll usually match it. My family has 4 vehicles and have been going here for 7 years, and a previous Tires Plus in Orlando for 8 years because they do good work overall. I usually get competitive quotes for tires, but high quotes for repairs. I usually call around and eventually end up with competitive pricing, since they price match. I've tolerated the inconvenience, because they typically do good work. However, over the past 18 months their repair quotes have been way out of line 25 - 33%, vs. their usual 10-15%. Their last quote was was 150% higher - $1,156.39 for replacement of front struts, vs $660+ at Pep Boys, vs. $461 at Sears - all shops using the identical parts. I believe this may be a corporate pricing policy. read more

The guy there tried to convince me that this was what I needed. And that the cost would be $800. Needless to say I took my car elsewhere. I went back on Monday (when he told me to meet him after an hour drive) and of course he was not there and the store manager said there is nothing he could do until Brett was back in Thursday. I bought a set of tires from this company which ran me close to $400... they mounted my rims with the tires less than a year ago maybe 6 months.. one of the rims crack and I bought new rims to be replaced.. they told me they can't I mount the rims because the tires are used.. that was ridiculous.. I made an appointment to have a specific set of tires put on my truck. They confirmed they were in stock and would be done in about 2 hours. I went up 3 hours later and they told me they didn't actually have the tires, and had to get them from another shop & should be done within the hour. Another 90 minutes later I asked what was going on, they said that the tires were on, but the alignment was off. They'd have to order an alignment kit and would have it the next day, or Monday morning at the latest, that they'd call me and it would only take about 90 minutes. Monday evening I called to check on the part. They kept me on hold for 10 minutes & said they still hadn't gotten the part. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but with this kind of continuous customer service, I can see where they get their 2 star ratings... read more

***PLEASE HEED MY WARNING AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE*** My wife brought her vehicle here trusting that they would pull codes for her check engine light at no charge (same service autozone or O'Reilly would do for free). When she asked that they check for her they said no problem and had her sign a form quickly without explaining any charges to her. She was charged $113 for someone to hook a computer to the car and pull codes. A "courtesy check" form was provided to her and it was not even filled out completely. The technician failed to do anything beyond pulling codes and charged her anyways. I contacted the store manager Brett and he was very rude. He basically called her a liar and said she consented to the charge. Now tell my why anyone would consent to a $113 charge when they know it is a free service almost anywhere else. She had confidence in the Tires Plus brand, and they pulled a fast one on her. The lack of professionalism and care by Brett when we contacted him shows that this location is more about making a buck than taking care of their customers. read more

We came in last minute desperately needing a full set of tires as the belts on ours decided to split, making a really bad day even worse. And I have a travel job in the morning. They made sure they did everything they could to make sure I could afford what we needed and helped me even contact my credit company to get this done. They stayed late and made sure everything was done right and I got what I wanted and needed. I haven't had service like this, especially so late in the work day, from anywhere in a very long time. This Tires Plus has gone down hill. My husband has been going there for over 15 years. New people are rude(Brett). They used to do all the extras when you got your oil changed. Like rotate the tires, top off all the fluids, check all the lights. Will never go back to that store again. Will let everyone know not to go there. Shame on Tires Plus for allowing this kind of work to go on. They were going to charge me 80 dollars for a oil change. read more

My biggest complaint with Tires Plus as a whole is that they move there managerial people around too much. Having said that, my review of this location could change if they change personnel. I was originally a customer at the Lake Mary location and the three best employees they ever had there - Keith Anderson, Josh Shoemaker and Jim Joslyn are all no longer at that locale. Jim was the most trustworthy mechanic I have ever known & he is no longer with the company. Josh is now at the service manager at the Apopka location & that is why this location gets a 5 star review. read more

I'm very unsatisfied, got my brakes done there, was there first thing when they opened with 1 person ahead of me & it still took 3 hours plus to do a 20 minute brake pad job, people who came after me were done before me, then then next day I notice my tire pressure warning light on & my breaks squeak still & it's been about 2 weeks, not to mention, there's now a nail in my back tire too!
