My experience at this Firestone is a horrible . I was there last year to buy a set of 4 tires. Then on May 24, thee2025. I had a flat tire, the person helping me was LIZZZ, this woman is incompetent, all my information was wrong, email, name ect. I asked for this to be corrected, the only thing she corrected was my e mail, not my name. I typically go to the location on Narcoosee however due to their limited specialty techs I ended up giving this location a go. They had more diagnostics techs on staff so more flexibility in scheduling an appointment-something I needed sooner than later. The team itself was very efficient, offering the friendly, casual atmosphere. Though I said they could have the day they attended to my vehicle right away and finished in a shorter time frame than other locations I've been to. Also the manager took time to come out and say hello when I was checking out which is always appreciated and adds a personal touch and confidence boost that this is indeed a location that will do what needs to be done and fairly. Pricing was fair and in line with industry, Unfortunately my issue was not able to be corrected at the location due to it being more electrical in nature (they actually waived the diagnostic for me since unable to assist) but they did provide me recommendations on where to go for next steps. This is how I'd prefer it- instead of a branch simply tackling the project on their own and charging for things that would not actually help to get money and just to patch up to move the customer on the way to find more trouble down the road (literally). This location is the total opposite of the South Semoran location! I called them without an appointment after explaining the situation at the other store. They took me right away and the staff here is very friendly. Shout out to Paulo G, he is an amazing person! He was very helpful with explaining what would happen with my car and what the issues were. I hit a pot hole the day before and knocked my car out of alignment. He showed me the damages to my rim and went above and beyond to explain my options. He gave me suggestions on how to repair my car that I didn't know about. He was very kind and helpful, and gave me recommendations on where to get my rim fixed. They are in the process of sealing the tire and aligning. I will come back to this location above any others! Steer clear of the South Semoran location! Come to this one instead!! read more

When I informed the service tech that I had made an appointment online, he proceeded to scoff and roll his eyes at me. I was immediately fed up, and left Firestone. Hello I went to the Firesone in Valrico on 60 and left my car there for two hours.Only to be disappointed.When I got back the Young Man was really nasty and short to me.He said didn't do your car and you can take your keys. I purchased a 2003 Honda Civic in 2012 that had a variety of problems stemming from poor maintenance on previous owners' behalves. Thanks to the folks at this location of Firestone, 2 issues that baffled other service centers were properly diagnosed and fixed here. I had even purchased two new tires at a different location that were immediately causing me a variety of issues and the folks here replaced them free of charge without attempting to blame the issues on the driver. Overpriced, hidden fees and After the first fix, left and the car felt like it was going to fall into pieces. Went again and after paying them more "because there was "some other thing that needed fixing as well", the car was still feeling like it would fall off. The guys are unbelievable.......the work is always done in the given time frame and they are professional, knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, and friendly. Those are the reasons I continue to come to this location after all of these years. I stopped in today without an appointment for a minor, but stressful issue. The gentleman behind the counter came out to my car and assisted me. It took two minutes to fix the issue and I was on my way. He commented how he remembered me from prior visits. I have been visiting this location on and off for 10 years now with different vehicles. It had been a few years as I had a new car with a dealership warranty. I had to purchase 4 new tires and Carlos remembered me from my last visit two years ago. They had reasonable prices on Bridgestone Duelers and a buy 3 get 1 free tire promotion. I knew that i would have my vehicle for quite sometime so I also purchased the lifetime alignment. One of the few car repair places I trust to offer reasonable, product, service and labor prices. Driving home in one of our Florida afternoon monsoons is not the best time to have a tire warning light go off. After a stop to add more air to my (very flat) tire I pulled up Yelp and headed to the nearest tire place. I have to say I lucked out a bit here. I realized when I was adding air to the tire that the tire was pretty worn around the edges and most likely would need to be replaced, so I was prepared for that. (They did check first to see if it could be patched, which would have cost $20, but my tire was unpatchable.) I arrived pretty close to closing and there were several people waiting ahead of me, but they still got my tire replaced. I realize I kept them there after closing and I really appreciate it. The salesperson I worked with seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I overheard him talking to other customers about how to prioritize the repairs they needed, and he just seemed very honest. Speaking of the other customers, there were four of us, all women, in the waiting area. And what was on TV? An alligator-hunting reality TV show. This was truly one of the most horrifying things I have ever seen on TV. I mentioned it to the salesperson as I was checking out and he said the History Channel is one of the best stations they can put on in the waiting area. So, the alligator hunting was somehow on the History Channel? Ugh, that is so disturbing. Completely irrelevant to the review, and I apologize if you are still reading, but seriously! I usually use Tire Kingdom, but I thought since I was near this shop Id give them a shot. I told them I regularly use Tire Kingdom and they gave me $10 off for choosing them over their competitor. I thought that was nice. They quoted me 45 min. (Balance and Rotation) So I walked over to publix and starbucks to kill the time, I arrive an hour later knowing that they usually take a little longer that quoted. I walked up and saw my car already pulled out, looking ready to go. I step inside to retrieve my keys and the man working the counter said, "Oh let me check on your car." I could clearly see it was already done, but I let him "go check on it". He came back and said "I'm going to have them pull it in now and I'll be helping them get it done." Well I'm now sitting here watching re-runs of family Fued while they start on my car an hour and a half later. Just went and looked in the garage and it has not even been lifted up yet. I dropped it off at 11:30 and they said it would be finished by 12:15. It's 2:00 now and they haven't started on it. If you're in a hurry don't come here. If you drop your car off just make sure you have a ride home. read more

I have to say; I think I have found my new go-to car center for things like oil changes and the like. For years I have been going to TiresPlus but when I needed a new set of tires I immediately called them and got a quote. I had a lot of help from a fellow yelper who motivated me to do a thorough investigation so I got quotes from TireKingdom, some place called Alligator tires, and some other place I don't remember. I honestly didn't think to even call Firestone because I automatically assumed it was going to be way too expensive but I called anyway and indeed, they initially quoted the most expensive amount I had received up to that point until I told them that I had gotten a quote that was almost $100 less from a competitor using their own tires. The gentleman on the phone asked me to wait a moment and after a couple of seconds he came back and offered me a quote $10 less than TiresPlus AND Road hazard warranty thrown into the deal. Needless to say, I made the appointment with them. Unlike TiresPlus, they didn't come to me with a list of things wrong with the car- trying to convince me that unless I have the work done at that precise moment; my car would be doomed for all eternity, on the contrary; they actually told me that given the mileage the car has it was in excellent shape. My only complaint about the experience was that they took 1 hour and 15 minutes longer than they had initially said it would take and I did have an appointment. So I waited a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes, but next time I'll just drop off the car and pick up later cause watching property brothers on HGTV for 2 hours will have you cross-eyed and mumbling gibberish - true story. read more

Absolutely ridiculous, I have a minor flat and ask them how much it would be to repair the flat, the guy at the front desk said it was going to be 200+ dollars to repair the flat as I apparently needed a new tire, I drive a mile down the road to GoodYear and they're able to fix my tire in 30 minutes and guess what, IT WAS FOR FREE! Hell's no, I have used Firestone while I lived on base in Hawaii and they were great. These people have no clue what they are doing. I brought my car in at the start of May since it sounded funny and was hard to turn the wheel. They told me it would be about $1300 for a new rack and pinion along with new tubes and a new power steering pump. So I had the whole system redone, no real choice can't drive it. And got it back the next day. Within two weeks it was acting up again. Sure enough I open the hood and there is no power steering fluid.. So I bring it back to Firestone and I was told one of the O'ring's slipped. It took them two more days to fix it. Ok, annoying but ok....2 days later my car is doing it again. So angry I bring it back. They take a look at it for a day then tell me the high pressure line broke and they need to order more O'rings for it and they they had accidentally put the wrong screws on my cars but it would be fixed soon. So 4 days later I get my car back thinking it must be fixed now.. It's been 2 days since it was in their shop, 2 days since they kept it for 4 days "fixing it" and its doing the exact same thing I paid them $1300 to fix in about a month ago. I made an appointment for an oil change and I was sitting there for over 2 1/2 hours. I could have (and should have) went to a quick service oil change. My company is part of a fleet program so you'd figure they would've made sure I was taken care of quickly. I asked why it was taking so long and was told that they had to wait for approval meanwhile I never had to wait with this fleet program. Over 2 1/2 hours for an oil change is NOT proficient. I have been servicing my vehicles at Auto Zone since I had my first car. Any time I move to a new city, I will take my car to Auto Zone until I find the "right" one. The location on Lake Underhill is my third location, and by far my favorite. I have taken my truck to them twice now and both times they have excellent customer service, don't push me into anything I don't need, and get my truck in and out. I wrote a less than stellar review about this place before so my bad for trying them again. Lesson learned. This time I made an appointment to have a rear seal replaced (not sure about the details as this is not my area). I was told the mechanic who does this work was on vacation but would be back on January 9th and I was told that the work would take about 8 hours. So I booked the appointment at least a week in advance and dropped the car off at 7am on the 9th. I told them I wouldn't be able to pick the car up until 1pm on the 10th. Well, I just called at 11:20 am on the 10th to see how it was coming along. Was told the mechanic "looked at it" on the 9th, was working on it now and it wouldn't be ready until 3 or 4. Now - I had an appointment made at least a week in advance, for one particular mechanic to do one particular job and I gave him 18 hours to do it in. Even if he didn't start work until 10 am on the 9th - my car should have been the only thing he was assigned that day and it should have been done by that evening. Absolutely disgusted with this place. Will avoid it from now on. One star because I can't post the review otherwise. read more

I frequent this Firestone regularly. Have had problems with EXPENSIVE diagnosis in the past....was hoping new management would help that...sad to say NOT. I took my car in because check engine light was on.....they recommmended $1,432.86 worth of repairs. Took it to a REAL mechanic who stated NONE of the recommendations were valid. Needed a oxygen sensor replaced and the noise I had been hearing was simply the front struts needed to be replaced. Confronted manager at FireStone today and he basically had nothing to say............HOW MANY mis-diagnosis have patrons paid for in dealings with this Firestone. read more

I have been coming to this location for years now and literally have brought over 16 cars for servicing. I think I did at least 4 oil changes just this month because I bring all my family and friends cars here. I have always asked and been presented with some type of discount or coupon but for some reason when I called in today I spoke to Melina and was told that they no longer do in-store coupons and that you must go online and print off a coupon and bring it to the store. I explained to her that it's never been that way however if policy has changed apparently to her does that mean everybody that does not have printers cannot get the discount? She then explained to me that that was exactly how it worked and that if you do not bring the coupon in the store that you are not able to take advantage of it. I thought it was a little strange that there was no other option and how policy you can just change like that as I got an oil change discount two weeks prior for my mothers car. So after getting off the line with her I want called corporate to see if there was any other way around it as going to the library and printing off a coupon seems a bit much. I was told by corporate affairs that you can simply show it on your phone. I explain to corporate that the lady I spoke to did not give me that option as that is a very simple option that anybody can do. I've then had corporate affairs personally call the store and speak to the lady directly and within minutes I got a phone call back from Melina saying to just show it on my phone and I would get the discount. I was really upset because this whole process took about an hour or so which ended up bumping my oil change on my car from being a 30 min wait to over two hours. After corporate called her all the sudden she's claims she did inform me to just show the coupon on my phone at check out however had she really said that why would I have called corporate. All in all because something so simply was not told to me I wasted time on the phone and wasted about an additional 3hrs of my time. Time is very precious because it's the one thing you can never get back. I will never deal with her personally again. I filed a corporate complaint on her as well as made numerous reviews on the store in many social media sources. DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment for a simple oil change, which takes 15 to 30 minutes maximum, but for some reason mine took two full hours. My car sat in the air on a pedestal for 30 minutes with no one attending to it. Also, someone that came in 30 minutes after me had their oil changed and completed 5 minutes before mine...and I had an appointment. They also tried ripping me off by telling me I needed another oil change in 4,000 miles. My car takes synthetic oil which EASILY goes 7,000 miles. I will NEVER ever come back here. read more

I've been going to this firestone for damn near 8 years and I get told today I can't do an alignment on my car. I've done my alignment multiple times at this facility but all of a sudden my car is to low. When I know it fits perfectly on the alignment rack. You need to train your associates better then trying to sweep me out to another one of your locations. I went to the location on w colonial and had a really horribly experience. I called this location and spoke to Matt, right off the bat he went out of his way to help me and get me in to get my oil changed. When j got there I talked to Matt and Chris C who both have the best customer service skills I've ever seen. After 20 minutes they were already done with my oil change and rotating my tires. Since I had such a god awful experience at the other store they shined my tires which was super nice of them. When Chris was pulling my car out he noticed my car had trouble starting which I've been ignoring for a couple months now. He did a test and told me what was wrong with my car and why I needed it fixed. Being someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars, it was nice because he explained everything to me in detail and I understood why it was happening and what was wrong.
