Here is our review they wanted $150 to change a headlight bulb. we took our 2009 Chevy HHR is for a CEL "Check Engine Light" couple hours later they called told me it was a catalytic Converter & was $3669.00 to replace. well we took it to Carl Black Chevrolet for a second opinion. They used an Endoscope to check it through the upper O2 sensor inlet and said the converter was fine and that if the converter was bad the car would NOT RUN. there is a separate CEL code for a bad converter a PO0430. needless to say it was the upper O2 sensor that was bad they replaced it and our car runs great. again actually the car was running good just had the CEL light coming on. I am a Vietnam Veteran & Senior and this is no way to treat long time clients. who ever did the Diagnoses should be fired I am beside myself over this whole issue $3600 turned into $186.00. I got there at 11:57pm and told the employee that I'm using that app, it took forever to check me in due to the guy helping me being new (literally his first day) and the process is different when using the car advisor app. I think I finally got checked in at around 12:20ish pm, my car didn't get pull in until after 1pm and idk when it was done but I didn't leave 2:17pm It was instantly busy, everyone had an appointment and apparently all at the same time. When I arrived, they were having trouble with one guys car. One couple had a 10am appointment and were there for over 3 hours! As I was checking out, a customer from the morning came back because the issue wasn't fix and it seemed worse They don't have a lot in stock so they obviously need to order the parts but they seem like they have trouble getting them. I've heard an employee say it could take 2-5 days to get the part but heard multiple calls asking when/why hasn't their car part arrived yet Lastly, not really pep boys felt.....a customer literally brought their guitar with them and started singing. I'm glad I didn't have to stay for the whole show ‍

I went to a mechanic down the road, an independent mechanic, but still a mechanic, and they looked at what they were going to charge me, and what they were telling me was wrong with my car, and, most of it ended up being way overpriced by like four times and some of it ended up being not a big deal at all or not even there. please, I beg of you save your money I know that some people are nervous to go to independent shops but there are so much good mechanics just right down the road from this Pep Boys who charge way less and show you exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. And not only that, some of them also, give you warranty on the parts that they replace for your car. This place is not worth it at all. Please go spend your money somewhere else because in the end it will save you almost $1000 less!!! I learned this the hard way! adding to this, they always try to manipulate you no matter what, which is just completely horrible of the workers. I get if they make some kind of commission off of this, but I was not going to go through with a procedure, and the Mechanic, who was dealing with me, while he was printing out the quote for me, spoke to the other Mechanic and said " oh you're that person that didn't get this replaced, they ended up getting in a really bad crash right after they left our shop" it was obviously tactic, and I wasn't going to fall for it.

Hours after dropping my car off to do this test, they call me with an appalling list of things needed to be fixed in my car to the tune of over $3,500. One of which was leaking coolant, which I had fixed less than a year ago elsewhere. I went to my last mechanic to use the warranty from this repair. However, he was able to physically show me that there was no leak. I went to check everything else on this list of repairs Everything Automotive claimed I needed, and only 2 of the 5 repairs were actually true. I agreed to get my mirror changed at Everything Automotive and nothing else. But the owner wouldn't take my no for an answer on getting everything they listed repaired, and tried pressuring me to scare me saying my car was a ticking time-bomb. It wasn't. When I came to get my car an hour after the full diagnostics I didn't ask for was finished, the owner said he needed more time to "do what he needed to do still." Slightly concerning since there was nothing we agreed to repair yet, and of course when leaving, my car ran worse than it did when I got there. As a girl alone in Florida as I finish up my education, it's so disappointing to see the lengths people will go to swindle others. The owner states to have helped lots of fellow students from my school which worries me how many other people were suckered into spending money on things they didn't need from here. Do yourself a favor, and find an honest mechanic like Vimar up the block across the street from Full Sail University to help you with all your needs!

Ismail, the owner, eventually reached out to me and explained what was going on at the time. He was interested in helping me with my concerns and worked around my schedule so that I could drop the car off. When I arrived, he listened to all of my concerns and advised on the possible causes. I had been doing my research on what the issues could have been and the cost to repair those issues, so I knew more or less what I could be facing. Before I left, I remembered that I had broken the headlight sensor and bought a replacement part that needed to be installed, but I had been too lazy to do it myself. So I asked him to let me know what it would cost to replace the part once he checked the car over. Two days after I dropped off the car Ismail calls me and tells me the car is ready and explained that everything was fine and the parts I thought were failing were still in good shape. I had changed out the suspension myself and I have 104k miles with mostly original OEM components. Turns out, everything I was experiencing was due to the new suspension. To be clear, Cars and More is not an aftermarket specialty shop, it's a shop that specializes in European car repairs, so finding the exact cause of the noises I'm hearing would require a bit of work since not every aftermarket combination yields the same results. Had my car been completely stock it would have been a very straight forward assessment, but he reassured me that the vehicle was fine to drive and that everything was installed to spec. He also installed the headlight sensor free of charge and topped off my oil as a gesture of good faith. I appreciate him taking the time to look over my car and provide an expert opinion. I would recommend Cars and More to anyone with a stock European vehicle, as I'm sure the dealerships will rob you blind. Ismail could have taken me to the cleaners based on my assumptions of what was wrong, but he did the right thing. A trustworthy mechanic is very hard, but there is definitely one at Cars and More!

Normally, I love going here to get my car serviced. However on this specific date, my experience…read morewas not so great. On Friday evening one my daughter's tires exploded as she was driving home. I called Firestone to set up an appointment for the next day. The employee who answered the phone advised that if I could wait until Sunday morning that they could service me quicker. He then said that they only had 2 appointments for 8a and were wide open for the rest of the morning. Happily I agreed to setting the appointment for 9a Sunday. The employee even made a suggestion for the replacement tire, adding that they had that tire in stock already so it was going to be a fairly easy job. We dropped the car off Saturday night. Sunday morning just around 820a, I received a phone call confirming what I needed done with the car. It being Sunday, we were busy with Church so I returned the call just around 1015a. At that point, the employee tells me that he has a tire in stock -- this tire is different than what the previous employee told me they would do the replacement with. It was around 215p that I received a call from Firestone, to 'make me aware that they were going to rotate the tires.' I really didn't care, but at this point i was growing a bit concerned as i was being contacted just then, after it already being 5 hours after my appointment time. At 245p I was in the area and decided to wait at the store, as the store was going to close at 5p. I was told that they were just finishing up the rotation. It was around 310p that the guy from the garage parked my car in the lot and brought the key to the cashier. At this point there was nobody in the lobby except for myself. At 320p I stood up and looked at the cashier and he says, your car is ready.' I'm thinking, 'I know this. I've been looking at my car in the lot for 10 mins now.' Again, this was to replace 1 tire. I do enjoy this store a lot normally as I feel I usually receive a higher level service from them for what I am paying for. But this service should not have taken this long. Disappointing experience Firestone... Hope my next visit is not like this.

They say you get what you pay for but in this instance I feel like I got excellent superior service at a great price. We have all been to a doctor or dentist and I can say the welcome here was better. I was greeted immediately offered a bottle water and advised of my approximate wait time. Very professional and pleasant service from the staff here.
