the woman who owns this place is very disgusting and rude. I would avoid this business. They messed up my brakes twice and caused them to lock up while driving and blamed me for it, even though i took it to a different repair shop and they documented damage caused by them. She told me i have issues because i wanted to hold them accountable. They refused to refund me and said they didn't "agree" with the damage found. Horrible experience. read more

First off, I have to say that the staff is incredibly friendly. I like that I was able to make an appointment to bring my vehicle in for service. I've dealt with car shops before where you have to call and sort of hope that they're not too busy to look at your car. I called, made an appointment and that was very easy to do over the phone. Again, the lady who I spoke with was incredibly pleasant and friendly. I felt like I was calling a doctor's office! I brought my car in at my appointment time and dropped it off without any real problem. If I had a gripe on that, it's that I didn't know where to park because the place was so rammed with vehicles either awaiting service or already serviced. I took it as a sign that they're a great shop since they're so busy. Anyhow, just be aware that you'll have to look a bit for a spot to park. Once I did, though, they took care of moving my vehicle in order to service it, so not a big deal. My number one concern with car shops is "am I going to get ripped off? Will they tell me to fix things that don't need fixing?". I saw that the reviews on here were good, so I went ahead and took a chance based off of that. I asked them to check my brakes and give my car a physical. So I left them wide open with an opportunity to sell me on anything. I didn't think that anything was really wrong with the car, but I just wanted to be sure because I'm returning to work next month. Anyhow, they checked the car and didn't find any issues with the vehicle. They looked at my check engine light which was an issue I knew about already, and they gave me a technical breakdown of why it was happening. In my case, it didn't need fixing, but they told me how I could get it fixed if it comes back again and I want to get rid of it. In the end, the only thing that I was charged for was the changing of my wiper blades, which I asked them to do. I was thoroughly impressed with the honesty of this car shop. They didn't try to upsell me on anything or recommend repairs that weren't necessary. They only fixed what needed fixing, which is the type of auto shop that is a rare find in my experience. Jason, the mechanic who I dealt with over there, was as friendly and personable as you can get. Based upon my experience, I highly recommend this shop. I'll be coming back again when I need repair work and I will recommend to my friends. read more

This place needs to work on their communication to customers. There was no notice of a 2 year warranty for their service until I spoke with Jason who was friendly and this happened to be on my way out. I called last week and Jason mentioned that an oil change was a certain price and of course I was charged on the higher end. I might as well have gone to Firestone whom charges $75 for a full synthentic oil blend and I was not updated during the process about a light bulb concern and yes as a single female I was "attempted to be taken advantage of" yet I've done my research ahead of time about the bulbs that were being discussed. My first experience with the Dr's was the day Christina started at the store about 8 yrs ago. They had purchased the location from a previous owner who had been there for 40 yrs. Knowing Christina, Jason and staff for so many years I feel refreshed and confident everytime I visit for service. I have 3 cars and I know the care they receive is personal and professional. I recently moved to Orlando and needed to get my car checked because I had a long drive here and also because in my previous city a repair shop had suggested a particular (expensive) fix. I saw the good reviews of Orlando Auto Doctor and decided to visit them. I showed them the recommendation from the other repair shop. They looked over my car (for a small, reasonable fee) and then said I DIDN'T need the repair at the present time. If they were just looking to make money they could have easily said I should get the repair. This episode suggests they are an honest shop and I will definitely visit here again. read more

The AC in our car went out and we couldn't choose a place to take it in to. We drive by this place on Bumby all the time, so after reading the positive reviews, we decided to check it out. We went in one morning thinking we'd drop our car off then, but they were super busy so they gave us an appointment for 8 a.m. six days later. We came back six days later and dropped the car off. They were able to fix the AC and for a very reasonable price. I've read other reviews here and would second the idea of calling to make an appointment. The owners of Orlando Auto Doctor are true gems. They are kind, fair, go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, and most importantly, they do a great job with car repairs. When I was out of town for work, we had to get a repair done. Since we have just the one personal vehicle getting repaired, the owner rushed the job by completing it himself (on a WEEKEND) and actually drove our car to our home, picked up my husband and two young kids, and my husband drove him back to the shop. We were amazed and touched by this gesture. The staff at Orlando Auto Doctor are amazing. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to properly diagnose the problems you may be having with your car and provide you a fair estimate for the work needing to be done. They aren't pushy and let you decide if/when you want to schedule for the work to be done. At the end they thanked me by name.
