Walked in with a flat, Alex acknowledged my presence and shortly thereafter asked what he could do for me. I explained my issue which was a flat tire, he quickly got an electronic tool of sorts and we went to the car. There Alex saw the damage done to the tire walls because I had to drive it to them and advised a new tire was pretty much my only option. He offered to change out bad for donut spare since they didn't have the exact match to other three tires. The next day I got a call everything was ready for changing spare for new tire at a fair market price and value considering what had been done and yet to finish the job. Well done! read more

So certainly people don't really enjoy spending money on tires but they are a necessity for your car. I have to say after much research the best price seemed to be Discount Tire. They say you get what you pay for but in this instance I feel like I got excellent superior service at a great price. We have all been to a doctor or dentist and I can say the welcome here was better. I was greeted immediately offered a bottle water and advised of my approximate wait time. Very professional and pleasant service from the staff here. read more

Discount Tire - Thank you David - Tires Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I come to this place for over ten years and trusted them with all my cars for tires. I recommend them to neighbors and friends as well. Few weeks ago. I came for my Tire Pressure Monitoring System ( TPMS) light warning being on. The sales man checked it and he sounds very sincere- He said one of the TPMS is not working and recommended to change all of it for about $ 60.00 each. He said they will not recommend to change only one but it should be all. That is the first time I heard that kind of recommendation. I made an appointment at Walmart tire center for second opinion- in 20 minutes they called me. They said theres nothing wrong with my TPMS. They reset/ re-learned it and the light turned off. They did not charge me of anything. They said because they did not do anything but checked it. For almost a month- the light did not turn on . Now- I am going to Walmart and recommended them to my friends for honest, competent and excellent service. read more

Discount tire on alafaya is awesome! I am a single woman and never feel like they are taking advantage of me. They always explain things until I understand and physically show me the issues. Billy is awesome! The only thing is I wish there was WiFi to use while we wait. I was there a few hours and could have worked while waiting. Other than that, this store is honest and not pushy. Thank you! read more

Went there with a flat tire and they tried to sell me 4 tires. They had a whole cart and lot of BS to go with it. They refused to repair the tire. I left and went to the dealer who not only repaired the tire but said the tires were fine. They still have about 12000 miles of treads left. This is sad. I would not recommend them. If I could give them a 0 I would. read more

I recently came in for a rotation and balance and was upsold on new wiper blades which I agreed to. Today being the first day I was driving in the rain, I turned them on high as the rain was heavy. To my surprise, both went flying off leaving nothing but the metal arms. I had no option but to drive home without them. Please instruct your team on the proper installation of wiper blades to avoid any future frustration or accidents. I have always bought my tires there during the last 30 years and will continue to do so but only tires going forward. ****Update**** I was contacted by the store who apologized for the issue and not only replaced both wiper blades, they also refunded my money. They took Customer Service above and beyond. They will get all my business. Thank you very much Discount Tire Team at 330 S Alafaya Trl Orlando, FL 32828. read more

I had an issue with 1 of my 4 brand new Michelin tires that I purchased from Discount Tire. One of the tires had a high road force (21) after balancing they could not get rid of the vibrations after a total of 6 trips. They refuse to honor the Michelin warranty and switch out the 1 tire citing that the road force has to exceed 35 in order to warranty the tire. I will not be recommending or purchasing anymore tires from discount tire. read more

I was in the Orlando area, so I decided to drop by Discount Tires on Alafaya, near Waterford Lakes, to get my tires balanced and rotated. I have been going to Discount Tires for over 20 years and have never had a problem. I love that they have our records in their system, so I can go to any state, county, or city to get my tires taken care of. Usually, I can get in and out with an appointment, but this time I did not have one. Nevertheless, I was still able to get in. The waiting room is quite spacious, with comfortable chairs, and there is always AC on those hot days. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing service on their tires. read more

Jack F. Got a good deal on a new set of tires. I purchased the road hazard (hopefully I wont need it). The techs were pleasant and helpful. The only thing I didn't like is my wheels have dark residue on them after the tire service as well as my white interior on the driver door. I understand this can happen but it would have been nice to have the interior wiped prior to getting my car back. read more

I am a huge fan of Discount Tires, however I usually go to a different location. Today I woke up to a flat tire. Thankfully I already had the day off as I have family coming into town. When I pulled up to this location all the mechanics looked like they were UCF students. Yes, I was judging. Surprisingly, I was in and out within 30 mins. I had a warranty on the tires I had previously purchased at a different locations so my tire replacement was free. My tire was replaced and tires rotated which had been on my to-do list. Overall, another great experience at Discount Tire. read more

Two weeks ago, I purchased a set of tires from this location because they were in stock. Unfortunately, during installation, the technicians damaged all four wheels. I was told that I would receive a new set of wheels when I informed the service employee of the damage. However, when I followed up with the manager the next day, I was informed that the rims would be painted or refinished. I submitted a complaint with the BBB due to the situation, and after some time, they finally ordered a new set of rims. However, it turns out that the rims were knockoffs from China. I may have to continue losing time off work to get this issue resolved and would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I have gone to discount tires location several times during the past 10ish yeas, I used to commute to UCF and this location was on my way home, and then a few years ago we moved near by, and we have used many times since moving close, and their service has been excellent, they have fixed/changed/rotate my tires sometimes for free or for an affordable price, they are fast doing their service, we have bought some tires from them as well, and I definitely recommend them as a reliable business. read more

Discount Tire has always been the go to for tires and tire service, however, they completely disregarded health and safety guidelines during COVID-19. The associates at the front counter were wearing masks when I arrived, but the associates out in the garage were not wearing masks, social distancing, or regularly sanitizing their hands. The managers were the worst offenders, they were in and out of the showroom, garage, and office interacting with customers and associates while not wearing masks, social distancing, or regularly sanitizing hands. They were shaking hands, using multiple computers, using multiple phones, and touching multiple surfaces while not wearing a mask or regularly sanitizing hands. One of the managers had a slight cough, which gave me anxiety. I was there for an hour and there were times where there were more employees and customers that were not wearing masks than there were wearing masks. I did not feel safe at all, I had to change seats six times just to get away from people that were not wearing masks. It was totally ridiculous. This business is putting their customers, employees and the community at risk of COVID-19. They are not in compliance with CDC Guidelines and the Orange County Government Florida Executive Order Requiring Face Coverings. So nice that they helped me get the screw out of my tire for no charge!! I really appreciated the help today!

I have expensive cars and, with that, I worry and over-protect them whenever I have to rely on someone else to work on them. This Discount Tire is not only understanding of that reality, but accommodating. They are genuine, which you see when they take care of everyone in the same manner. I respect that, and that is why I buy tires here--I can take a call while they work instead of watching them like a hawk. You are in good hands here. read more

So I show up at 12:45 and asked for a tire rotation. No appointment but the place didn't look that busy. Free tire rotation because I bought the tires at this location. The man at the counter looked me up, asked for my keys and said he'd take care of me. I went over and sat down to wait. At 1:30 I got up and noticed my car had not moved. I asked the same guy who took my keys when I can expect to get the job done. What did he tell me? 2:30. Yeah. Another hour. He also told me that he looked for me to tell me how much time I had to wait but couldn't find me. I laughed because I literally sat in a chair 10 feet from him after I gave him the keys. Almost 2 fricking hours for a tire rotation? Again--no appointment--I get it. But dude--tell me it would be a 2 hour wait. read more

For years, I had been going to a mechanic whom I trusted to work on my vehicle in his driveway. He recommended Discount Tire Co to me a few years back, and I've gone nowhere else for tires since! The staff members are always courteous and seem to genuinely want to help. Pricing here is better than most places, and I've never been recommended to buy tires when unnecessary. Before my drive to California, the guy said that my tires were wearing, but they would make the drive there, though they might need to be replaced soon. I have since driven around California and back to Florida (13,000 miles) with same tires. The guy actually remembered me and said that the tread still looked good and didn't try to sell me more tires. Other places might've said, "All right, you've had your trip, so now it's time for new tires." Discount Tire Co will only sell you tires if you need them! Also, one time a nail punctured one of my tires in the tread area. I stopped by, and they fixed the issue for free in less than a half hour. Not only do you get honest service with better pricing, but you also get free tire rotations! This specific store is located on Alafaya between Curry Ford and Lake Underhill. It can be busy at times, so I often bring reading material with me for the wait. Otherwise, just find a friend to kill time with at Waterford Lakes Town Center or one of the many restaurants around. Come to Discount Tire Co for all your tire needs! read more

I don't understand why every time I come here they completely disregard what I need and try to sell me a new set of tires. I came here a few months ago because I had a flat on my car and one of them told me that I should consider replacing all 4 tires because it was almost time. I had literally just bought the car 2 weeks ago so I said absolutely not and asked to speak to someone else. Then he came back and told me that the tires were fine and I didn't need to get anything. After this experience I really didn't wanna come back because they left such a bad impression, but this past weekend they were the only ones available so I had to come back. I just needed them to patch up a hole on our other car because it had a nail stuck in it, and again they tried to get me to purchase brand new tires and told me they could fix the hole. I was so annoyed that I left and drove 20 mins to another location on Semoran Blvd. The mechanic told me they were lying and he was able to fix up my tire without me needing to purchase a new one. My car is driving perfectly find now, the tire is fixed, and I did not need to purchase new sets of wheels. While their staff is super friendly, i highly suggest getting opinions elsewhere and not just rely on the ones from this location because it's clear that they aren't really concerned with helping you as much as they are with getting you to waste money that doesn't have to be spent. read more

Four new tires in 45 min. Price matched. Great communication. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

This place is amazing! Great employees, great service, great prices! Thank you for being honest and hard working!

So just had an adventure with Discount Tires Alafaya Trails. Replaced 2 of the 4 tires. The worn set was on the front. We asked them to replace the front tires with the new tires. So they put the new tires on the rear and moved the older worn tires to the front. Against our request. Got the vehicle home, found they didn't follow instructions and asked them why they didn't put the new tires on the front. The service manager Dal I, proceeded to explain, you get better traction with the new tires on the rear. I asked on a front wheel drive vehicle? He said yes. So I asked him again, so you're telling me worn treaded tires get better traction than a new set of tires on the front of the vehicle? He said yes, because you get better traction with new treaded tires on the rear of the vehicle. Which is their standard answer. I believe science would challenge this knowledge. And yes, depending on the "expert" you're listening to. Will tell you, you get better traction with new treaded tires on the rear of a front wheel drive vehicle. Their reasoning is the new tires will hold the road better in wet conditions and prevent swerving. Well there's a difference between hydroplaning and swerving. I've never in all my years of driving had a set of rear tires hydroplane, never, ever. Hydroplaning is when a tire looses it's ability to channel water away from the tire tread and allows the tire to ride on the water wave it creates as the tire passes over the road that is saturated with water. I would never put new tires on a the front of a front wheel drive vehicle. It's also proven by his lack of knowledge at Discount Tires. The service manager has never driven on snow. Older worn front tires vs new tires will leave you stranded on snow covered roads. read more

I can't say enough good things about discount tire. I have been coming to this location for four years, and more than one car. They've repaired nails in my tires and when my tire light comes on, I skedaddle over because I'm confident that they will take care of what ever this issue is for a fair price. Not exactly t for to where I live, but worth the drive. They quoted me inexpensive tires for my car, didn't try to upswell me when I arrived, and they did (what I consider to be) a smart thing by overestimating my wait time.
