This is my second time coming here for an oil change. The first time I used a coupon on their website, and this time I used a Groupon. Both very great values for excellent service. They are kind and caring, and will literally show you if there's anything wrong with your vehicle that they have concerns with. They might push you to buy another service or something, but they wouldn't do it unless they feel you need it. I know my tires were bald, they were in bad shape but I was saving up for new ones. One of their employees at the front offered me a great deal to replace all of my tires for $450. They were used tires but were in excellent condition, so I said ok. I couldn't find that deal anywhere else. I know it was random deal because he just happened to have a full set. All around great service from people who care. Thanks! I came here cause I bought a groupon. $50 for a full synthetic oil change not bad. Friendly service and very fast. They even have a point system card that u get a free oil change after ur 4th time. Yay! Also the young lady that helped told me that she would price match any price i find out there and that she will continue to give me the groupon price without buying it again. Not all Ruben's tires are bad but this location is HORRIBLE! They lie they steal and misdiagnose simple fixes so that you pay them for a bigger one. Lack professionalism and customer service. so this is honestly a couple years old, being new to Florida & not knowing where else to go, I blew my motor on I4 & had my car towed to Rubens on Semoran blvd. I was charged nearly double what other shops charged to replace a motor. $2600. They broke an engine mount, which I need to pay to get repaired, they broke my exhaust, making my car extremely loud, which I now need to get repaired. while I was waiting to pick up my vehicle, another customer was complaining their vehicle was louder than when they brought it in & they were told it's ok. I like the people I dealt with but now I'm paying for more repairs that were unnecessary. read more

Great trustworthy place for used tires. Used them plenty of times and would refer to any family.

My shocks were making noise so I took it in, and so of course they needed to be replaced. I spent close to $300 which I thought was reasonable. What I did not like and is a pet peeve of mine is inconsistency and lack of knowledge about what they carry or what's in their inventory. They quoted us on shocks and getting a new stabilizer bar because I needed it. I was totally ok with that. But they didn't have the parts for either. They promised us it would be done in only a couple hours that turned into an all day affair. We had to constantly call in to check on the status and come to find out they were unable to to get the parts for the stabilizer bar that same day. I wouldn't have any issues if they communicated this to us from the beginning and I had an idea of how long it would take to order the parts etc etc. Long story short, Don't give someone a quote for a bunch of work that you can't even do because you don't have the parts for it. They need to keep up with their inventory and be honest with their guest from the beginning about how long things could possibly take. read more

The worst place you can go. They will put new brake pads on old rotors and up sell you other crap and let you drive away with a dangerous car that's hard to stop and argue with you that it's fine. When you are unhappy they want more money for a job that they should have done in the first place. But still they argue it's fine well it's not fine I want a car that stops. I want the new rotors and pads like my family deserves and if they can't make it right on Tuesday because for reason they won't simply put on pads and rotors like I've asked I have to wait until Tuesday and then fight some more but I'm hoping that Ruben will do the right thing and eat the cost instead of charging a long time customer even more to have it done like it should. I will walk away knowing that I have to have it redone somewhere else good thing I paid with a Visa card. If on Tuesday Ruben doesn't do the right thing I will get my money back from visa and go somewhere else. I will be happy to take this all back if they will make it right on Tuesday. read more

I was dreading getting my brakes done because I know it can be an expensive bill. Thankfully I found Ruben's Tires and found a coupon on their website! Not only did they replace my breaks for less than the other three competitors that quoted me but they replaced my brakes AND rotors for less than what competitors quoted me just for brakes. I came in without an appointment so the wait time was about 45 mins, which is fine because it was a nice day out. The receptionist placed a chair outside for me to sit , that was sweet. DO NOT GO HERE. I called to get a consultation and the owner told me that I could bring the car in and they wouldn't charge me anything unless they did the work on the vehicle. Once they gave me a quote it was ridiculously high so I decided to go elsewhere. However when I went to go pick up my car they had purposely put it on the risers and refused to bring it down unless I paid $80. They wanted me to pay $80 without them having to do any work at all . They are good in communication and the price. However, when I went there to fix my brakes, the mechanic who fixed my brakes let me go with the car without bleeding the air out, which is a basic thing for any mechanic working on brakes, so I was about to hit another car on the road twice as the brakes didn't work. I went back to the shop and once he saw me he said that he have to lift up the car again to bleed the air out. He did it and the brakes worked well in the second time. So the question is why he didn't fix it all at once and didn't put me at a risk of having a car accident especially he knew that it would be a problem. read more

All I wanted is a patch to plug a tire and they said that I need new tires a differential fluid change etc etc. Saw a Ruben's tire sign and turned in. This is an old school garage . This is the second time I've taken my car over here for my tires. I hit a curb and busted my front tire. They changed my tire and put my spare back for me. The mechanic also also noticed I had a decent sized tear in my driver's side I hadn't noticed. So they changed that tire out for me too. This is the second time that I've come to Rubens Tires and truly everytime I'm greeted with the same polite and cozy family feel of this shop. The woman at the front desk is always efficient and sweet. This is by far the worst experience with any tire company that I've ever had. I went here figuring that I'd throw some business to a local small business. It was a simple repair of a nail in my tire. They said it was patched, aired, balanced, and ready to go. I head to my medical appointment thinking that everything was fine. I come out to my car about an hour later and head towards home, stopping by a drive thru for some quick dinner. I feel the car riding rough as I'm leaving the parking lot, and someone in a car yells at me that I've got a flat. I pull into a parking spot, and sure enough, the "repaired" tire is flat. Now, this was a slow leak, which meant that every few days I had to put air in, so it was an annoyance, but not bad to deal with. I called Ruben's, where they'd done the work, and someone said to bring it in, but I had to get there before 5:30pm. I told them I was stranded, and they implied that that wasn't their problem. Someone kindly helped me change the tire (I'm disabled, so I couldn't do it myself), but the spare was 90% flat as well. I drove on the mostly flat spare to a Firestone tire place that was nearby and the best they could do was air my spare up. I was able to get home, but it's already after 6pm, well after when they said I had to bring it in. Also, since I had apparently driven on the flat, the tire itself is now apparently ruined (I can see the divot where I drove on the rim). So now I have to get, at the very least, a new tire, and possibly a new rim, all because I went to Ruben's Tires on S. Semoran. Save yourself the hassle and go literally anywhere else. These guys donot know what they are doing. Spent over $800 on labor plus parts. My truck spent over a month at the shop. Milton the shop manager kept giving me different diagnosis making me spend more and more money. I picked up my truck and took to another shop and fixed for under $80 . if you donot know about electric mechanic you should not advertise as you do. Horrible experience read more

I love this place. I've been going here for every little thing on my car for about 2 years now. They have never overcharged me. They always find the best price and do the work well. I've earned a free oil change after getting 5 from there (i think?). Javier has great customer service and is always friendly. I am giving this company zero stars!!! I am so unhappy with the work that this Shop did. After having to just now replace four tires and upper and lower ball joints all again and then finding out that all the work they did was so bad I will never ever ever step foot in the shop again and I do promise you that I'm going to be dealing with this matter outside of yelp. I just found out that my upper and lower ball joint were not greased. The entire upper ball joints were completely dry rotted and cracked because they were not greased nor does it look like to even put a new set in. Also my lower ball joints had snaprings place to there but they were never installed so they completely forgot to install the snap rings which in turn could have came off and broken my wheel while I was driving causing my truck to flip over and kill me and my family. I brought my truck back to the shop more than six times to fix not only my upper and lower ball joints but a couple of other things I was told that I needed camber bolts and wheel bearings and my alignment was totally messed up and a bunch of other stuff. I am very very very upset that my family was put in danger. I remember when I was five months pregnant being at the store begging them to fix it properly because my truck was all over the road bouncing everywhere I even installed two new tires in the front because my truck was driving so bad which were completely eaten and I've had to replace the tires at a different shop today. I have never been so angry in my life.I feel like they took advantage of me because I'm a woman. I feel like my children's lives do not matter to them because of the danger they put me and my children in. I will never step foot in the shop again. This is been three times I brought my truck to these people on different occasions over the last couple of years for tires and such now I know why my front suspension was so messed up. I literally have proof from the other place I just went for all my repairs that they did a really really bad job and did not even grease any of the upper or lower ball joint's. I have nothing else to say other than I will never step foot in this place again. read more

I took my car in to get wheel bearings replaced. I showed up a half hour after they opened at 9am. Mind you they don't take appointments so it's a first come first serve basis. There were 2 cars ahead of mine. I was told my car would be ready in 4 hours, and that was just before 10am. I called back at 2pm to check on how much longer it would be and they told me that they had just started it. My car wasn't ready until 4pm. They charged me for the full 4 hours and told me I'm paying for the service and not the time. Even though when I called and asked about pricing I was told that it was $80 an hour. If you do the math, 2pm to 4pm is only 2 hours. They charged me for the full 4 hours because that's what the quote the system gave them based off the service they were performing. On top of that, I couldn't get a warranty on the repair they did because I brought my own parts. But I only brought my own parts because they told me to. They "didn't" carry the parts I needed which were wheel hubs and bearings. So now because I had no choice but to buy my own parts, if anything goes wrong with what they did I can't do anything about it. I do not recommend going to them because they will get any penny they can from you regardless of however long the service they performed took. Their work is good, but their honesty is not. read more
