We came here with our 4 month old hoping for a nice, no fuss no muss dining experience and we got just that! We opted to sit outside on the patio even though it was a bit toasty outside and it was really chill. We didn't feel like we were bothering the one other table with our child there and it just felt good to relax outside. We've gotten take out from this place 3 times and loved it all 3 times. Dining in is even better! I love their brisket tacos and their cheese pizza. My husband always gets the impossible burger and loves it as well. I got the Chandon-spritz which is a spin on the Aperol spritz and I loved it. We can't wait to come back! Definitely good place to bring kids. read more

The food here is delicious and not the same old cuisine you can get anywhere. The Armadillo Eggs are delicious, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant has good parking and the seating is comfortable and chill. I highly recommend eating here if you are near the area. Worth driving to. read more

I'm glad to see something finally went into the former Cap's space. I recently went there to dine-in with the family. For those wanting to get out yet still be covid cautious the staff requests only a family (or same address?) sit together. Everyone was properly wearing a mask. We started off with Bang Bang Shrimp and the Baked Avocados. Both were really tasty and a great way to start the meal. I chose the Sunnies and Chips for my meal and it was great to have something other than cod for the fish. Quite good and a lot of food. My son had the buffalo chicken wings and he loved them (and he's picky about wings). I can't recall what else we had, but there are so many things on the menu that look like winners that I can't imagine eating the same thing twice. Their beer selection was pretty good and varied. The staff were super friendly. You order at the counter and they bring food to you so a slightly different format than what you may be used to. I can't wait to get back! read more

Finally got around to trying The Tipsy Steer on a Friday after work. They don't have hard alcohol so no mixed drinks. They have some pretty good bar food though and brews from High Plaines Brewing. They had some impressive milk shakes coming out of the kitchen with serious groceries in it as well (a whole cupcake, a brownie, a whoopie pie). The large patio looked fun! It had outside games for people to play. I went to the Roseville location. There's 3 locations in the twin cities. Plenty of parking and near Rosedale Mall. read more

We lucked out to have the Tipsy Steer a block away from our AirBnB. We ate there three times and every time we were NOT disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The food is freaking awesome. From the short rib grilled cheese to the burger to the pizza...every bite was amazing! And my husband loved the Red Velvet Cheesecake milkshake so much he had it two of our three visits. when we return for our next trip, we will definitely eat at least one meal here. The prices were within reason. We usually don't have a problem paying a bit more for good service and great food. read more

Love this place! Bang bang shrimp tacos are so good. We also love the atmosphere and the hometown feel. Great beer selection and really fun with a group. read more

Ordered a few cheeseburgers, bang-bang shrimp, onion rings, mac-n-cheese and another sandwich. Everyone was happy with their food, I thought their burger was very good, but my wife didn't really care much for the mac-n-cheese said it wasn't seasoned very well, my guess is because it's listed as being on their "kids' menu" and kids are notorious about not liking much seasoning on their food. read more

Food was not great, it was bad, but not great. It sure was expensive! Service was slow as it took forever to get our drinks refilled. The place is nice but small in the inside. We went there during winter so of course the outside was closed. read more

You go to the counter to order. Had a salad - it was large it was okay. I enjoyed the outdoor patio.

Very friendly and fun place with an ambitious and creative menu. Have been there a few times now. Very nice beer selection with lots of local flavor. Food portion sizes are large and most people would find something they like there. You order at the counter and they bring your food out when ready. Burgers are great and most of the pizzas also are. We've enjoyed several of the salads. If you order something with barbecue sauce, be aware the sauce is VERY sweet and it is applied *generously.* If you order brisket tacos, which are very plump, maybe ask if they can use unsauced brisket? (Or less sauce.) The smoked to order pizza is delicious with great thin crust, but with sauced BBQ brisket plus bacon jam plus roasted red peppers it ends up very sweet and saucy. We look forward to returning soon! It's located right by a light rail station on Hiawatha so it's easy to find. read more

Wanted something different - no big chains. Searched for places close by us. We were at the Minnehaha park and this spot came up. Wife had a Rosemary and loves it. I had the beer flight. Enjoyed the Indeed pistachio cream ale, and the Hamms (I know, old fart). Ordered the margarita pizza with pepperoni and loves it. Ordering was a little weird but this place was awesome. read more

This place had some of the best chicken strips I've ever had in my entire existence. The amount of amazing service that was given to me was pleasuring to say the least! I was pleased by the texture of the tenders and the seasoning of the fries. My Dr Pepper could've fed families! Lol! read more

Loved the menu, hard to pick an item as they have so many great choices. Great beer, wine, and specialty cocktails to choose from. Great service, clean, welcoming. read more

Minneapolis airport. Ordered delivery. The pretzels and avocado crab were wonderful. Looking forward to ordering them again. Also ordered the Lil Spicy burger. So good. Can't wait to order again for delivery to the airport Intercontinental! read more

Some of their food is great, some not as great. Service is good. Prices are ok, a little high. Try the bacon lollipop!

Wow wow wow! We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel with the cheese dip, the pimento cheese balls, the bang bang shrimp, and the smoky pizza. We had it door dashed and let me just tell you, it came super fast and hot. Everything was absolutely amazing. We actually meant to save some, but we just crushed it all! Can't wait to order from here again! YUM!!!!! read more

The menu was large and had many options. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese and the WAM bread was shared between the table. The grilled cheese was delicious -flavorful and quite big. WAM Bread is a must to order! Nothing better than a warm piece of bread with the honey butter - has the perfect amount of sweet. The restaurant is seat yourself - either order at counter or use the QR code at the table. The inside is a bit on the smaller side, but they do have a cute patio with a door that opens up between the two spaces. Parking lot is a little tight as well but not bad and I believe there is street parking as well if it's full. read more

Absolutely love this place now. I'll be trying the burgers next, I just didn't want my coworkers to see me pig out this shake has a rhubarb cake in it. Trying to decide if I want to take it out and eat it or just drink and eat it... read more

Not for me. All dishes were way "over flavored", ease up on the salt and other spices, I want to taste the food, not a jar of seasoning. I don't like the order at the counter system, but whatever. It was overall a fine experience, but none of the dishes would make me come back. read more

Tasty, somewhat unique dishes is a small restaurant atmosphere. I enjoyed the hot Chicken Benedict.

We went to the Falls Park and walked across the street to this restaurant, and it was amazing. The pizza was soooo good. My husband ordered Lil Spicy burger and shared with us. The cheese pizza was very appealing. Another customer asked about it and we both recommended it. The kid working there provided a small styrofoam to-go container for a half leftover pizza so we had a long laugh about that and did get the right box. It was very busy on a Sunday late afternoon cuz the food is quite good. I might switch from parkway pizza. read more

Tipsy Steer, aka Hook'em Horns eatery (burnt orange? longhorns? armadillos?, keep it sassy?) has a fantastic pastrami sandwich and a pleasant patio on a cool late summer afternoon. I won't tell anyone you're from Texas, but i will tell them you have some awesome brisket tacos. ;) read more

Brunch is so good here. Cozy neighborhood place and great friendly service! The happy hour seems to be a great deal as well!

Had a great burger there last night, really good quality beef and short ribs. They took over the former Caps location and have really remodeled it nicely. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, it went very smooth with ordering. The food was delicious and all of my party agreed that we'd be going back again! They have burgers, sandwiches, salads, entrees, and pizza as well as a good selection of beers and wines. The manager was a really nice fella and even brought us out an appetizer on the house when they accidentally made too many. We will be going back there for sure! read more

Not a happy staff from before the rain, or after. The manager sets the tone, and this was not a good evening for Tipsy Steer. 6:30pm 7/19. It started to rain, so we asked for them to make our order to-go. We watched the two waitstaff struggle do all the work, while the 'manager' did very little except write names down on a post-it all while 10-12+ trays of food sat waiting to be delivered to tables. I don't fault the two staff who were completely overwhelmed trying to manage in-house, to-go orders and delivery service orders. *note, please never touch the food with your bare hands as you've been running your fingers through sweaty hair (and, everyone is watching). Not sure we will go back after tonight read more

So, the food here is pretty tasty and I like the wolf rose beer. The price of beer is high though, nearly $9 for a pint (with tax). BLAT sandwich was great, that bacon is something I want more of. Bartender was pretty friendly after a while, that's important when traveling/dining solo away from home. read more

Grumpiest host I have encountered in a long time. Gave a big sigh when he saw us enter and acted like we were pulling out his finger nails to serve us. We were there 45 mins before closing - related we were going to get drinks and we would be fast. He gave the biggest sigh. Acted like he was doing us the biggest favor. I almost walked straight back out. I wish I had. I had to dare my friend to ask for water! We left with 10 mins to spare - smiled and said thank you. He ignored us. Rude, rude, rude! read more

Considering this is a new restaurant in The neighborhood you should put your best foot forward. I ordered the hot Tom and my wife ordered the chicken Brie sandwich. The hot Tom is a fried chicken sandwich with hot sauce. The chicken was burnt just left to long in the fryer - dried out and tough. Chicken Brie was nothing special. I may give this place a second chance but not sure. read more
