I just had the worst pedicure that I've ever had in my life. The person doing my pedicure applied no strength whatsoever to my legs or feet, used towels that were too hot and stones that were very cold. I had paid for the most expensive pedicure in their menu. Sadly, my toes and feet actually looking the same. The person doing my pedicure did not even try to get the calluses off of the bottom of my feet even though I had asked her as nicely as possible several times. She'd kept yawning and looking around with her mask only partially covering part of her lips and not her nose. I have been to Tips and Toes several times over the years but I don't think I will be going back especially if I have to deal with the same person doing my pedicure! I will walk out. I got a NAIL INFECTION from this place. I had been getting acrylic nails there for quite some time (no where else) and when I asked Tony what was wrong w/ my nail, he said that my real nail was "lifting" from my finger and that was what was causing the deformity and thickness, so he shortened the length of my fake nail telling me that this will stop the real nail from lifting away from my finger. I believed him, because I had didn't have any real reason to not believe him. I noticed some of my other fingers developing the same issue. I decided to stop getting acrylic nails at this point. My thing is, I got the infection from Tips and Toes...and if you think about it, the fungus is still at the shop, because there doesn't seem to be anyone cleaning their drill bits or getting new files or buffers...they just put it back in their drawers...I see the wonderful containers of blue sanitizing liquid, but I have never seen anyone drop anything in them! So, in theory...I got the fungusfrom there and other people gave it/got it/will get it too. If you take a look at the poster for Barbertology/Cosmetology right by their front door, you will notice that they do NOT practice said hygeine. I understand that businesses need to make a buck, but it should not be at the expense of their clients' health by cutting corners w/ hygeine. I would rather they raise their prices and charge me the extra for the new buffers/files...seriously. It does not appear Yelp will allow me to post no stars, so...I have to put one star, even tho I don't think this is right. Also...it appears that Yelp has a "filter" which isn't allowing my post to appear on the front page of their other reviews. I think that customers should know that the potential for an infection is REAL at this place, but Yelp is has their opinion. read more

I went here for a fill after having the set done at another salon. I think that guy that did my nails was named Tim... Anywho, Tim took one look at the shit job the other place did and said, "you didn't get those here, where did you go?" He had a very good attitude about customer service and wanted to do my nails the way I wanted them done (mainly not SUPER thick) and he also takes pride in the quality of his servieces. I no longer have time to keep up artifical nails, but they do a great job on pedicures *free parfin dip* and manicures. I opted for the extra salt scrub last time because the gentleman next to me was having it done when they offered it. Personally, I'm not sure I would opt for it again... I just don't think salt scrubs and my skin work well together. The massage chairs aren't the best I've sat in, but I did watch the lady who did the pedicure at the chair next to me take apart and scrub down all the drains in her station, which makes me feel really good about their sanitary practices. I've also had waxing here, my eyebrows looked really natural and not overshaped. One final note, the people and atmosphere here are what really make it. There is no TV on, they play easy listening music, and for the most part they're pretty quiet and have a lot of smiles. read more

I went to tips and toes for my first time today (I have been to several local salons over on coach.. terrible work was done). The person that did my nails had the last name of Soild (I can't remember his first name). I asked for a short natural looking set and nails, and thats what I recieved. He did a fantastic job filing the finish ontop and on the underside of the false nail. I am very happy and will be returning, and btw the price was very reasonable. I've patronized this business over 15 years; but am ready to say goodbye! It is NOT the same since new owners/managers have taken over. Had to wait almost 1/2 an hour once, when I had an appointment, and no discount on my service, or REAL justification to make things right. Three of us got our nails done on Christmas Eve day and I thought the staff was friendly and the place was clean enough. I got a gel manicure, which is supposed to last 3 weeks, but in my case it lasted just a week. I don't think the lady who did my nails spent enough time on them because I was done way before my mom and partner were and my cuticles weren't pushed back. I wouldn't go again to spend another $27 for a manicure that doesn't last longer than a week. read more

I had my appointment with Mindy. She was very professional and careful. My pinky finger is sensitive and the drill burned it so she sprayed water on it to cool me down which was very kind. She didn't cut me and the entire time my nail acrylic remained smooth. I gave four stars only because they were trying to push me to put a chrome cover on top (which I didn't allow). But other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend mindy:)) read more

I feel really bad only giving this one star. They did not use fresh finger filers, and the utensils did not come out of a package like I am used to. The place was really dirty. I don't like having a pedicure and a manicure at the same time it's not relaxing at all. I don't normally come here but I thought I would give it a try because the normal place I go to was so busy. Their prices are to high and they did not like it when I did not upgrade. I asked to see a menu of their services , they said they don't have one. Probably my least favorite one, they're chairs are all broken, and they aren't that friendly.. they offer wine and will charge your phone but my chair was broken and she said that's it just came that way (tapping only my head! Haha) they're not accommodating to a lot of things and they don't care. I walked out 2 years ago because of something, I can't remember and then I came back today to give them another shot, and I told them to just take off color and left again because my chair was stuck tapping my head... The last experience, they burnt my skin soaking off my old gels even tho I asked several times for them to take it off and if i could wash my hands. I have gone to this nail salon about 3 times but I definitely won't be back after this experience. I will have to give it to the guy who did my toes because they look great but the guy who did my nails is a whole different story. The last I was there I only got a full set and they were $50 but for some reason they were $70 and 120 for both Pedi and full set. I got shorter nails with almost the same design. The guy who did my nails was rude and messed my nails completely up. I had told him what desgin, shape , and even length He did my nails 2 different lengths complety noticable. I had grabbed my phone and showed him a picture of the nails I wanted just to make sure we were on the same page. He then responded with "okay so you want these? That's fine but you need to put your phone away because once I draw out your nails on the napkin that's how they are going to be" I thought this was very rude since I was paying him to do my nails. He did my nails and right when he finished i left and said I will never be back.Then to make matters worse the next day all my nails had popped off Because they were filmsy and thin. So I basically paid 70 dollars for a bad experience and nails to come off the next day. read more

I am extremely allergic to acrylic and dont like the way gel sits on my nails so Peter recommended the dip they do and my nails have never gotten so many compliments.. Had an amazing appointment with Thutwy pronounced Tweetie! She was fast and friendly and very professional. One daughter was with Mindy and Tweetie also did my other daughters nails! They turned out beautifully!! Then she did my eyebrows too!! Only $10.00 and 5 minutes and just perfect. Update: though I got great service the first time the prices seem to change on a whim. My daughter and I got the ombré nail full set. We were told $20.00 when we came back for a fill. My daughter went in and had them filled and just polished, they told her 33.00 because she had a polish change. I couldn't afford that so when I went back I said keep them the same, they charge me $35.00. I don't know where the 20.00 comes in but I won't be going back. read more

Appreciate how sweet the ladies are here! The salon is super clean and nicely decorated. However, mine and my friends gel manicures lasted maybe 3 days before chipping, resulting in our nails breaking. So disappointed because it was quite pricey for gel mani and pedi and we expected them to last at least 2 weeks. Though the ladies were super sweet here, I don't think we will be coming back as the manicures simply did not last and weren't great. read more

I've been to this nail shop before and I've only been impressed when the wife or husband (owners) do my nails. Everyone else seems so rushed even when there is no one waiting. Today, I am compelled to write this because this shop is not clean. Instead of folding towels, organizing or simply picking up trash the staff sat in the pedicure chairs speaking on their phones (on speaker). Never going back... not horrible service, just bad work. Looks like they were on a rush. Took my mother in law to get her nails done for her bday... first of all they cut her a couple of times, then she would ask the girl a question and she barely spoke English, the girl doing my nails had to translate the entire time, I didn't really mind that, but I did mind was the fact that we would ask a simple question, they would talk to each other for 3 minutes look at us and answers with a yes or a no. Not the best experience I have ever had. I haven't used yelp in years and was so dissatisfied that I decided to take the time to write a review. I have a regular place where i get my nails done but was coerced to try Tips and Toes by a friend. I walked in and was told they could paint my nails in 15 minutes. I picked a color, sat down and waited about 30 minutes. I understand they were busy, but quoting an accurate time would have been killer since I ended up missing my nephews entire football game. While my entire experience was filled with zero customer service, I thought I'd give them a shot anyway. After they finally got to me, I gave them a color and said I only wanted a toe and nail paint which was $8 and $6. I got two small designs, one on one of my toes and another on my ring finger. I asked for a design that matched my friends and they completely ignored my request and painted whatever they wanted. They gave me a pink flower, which I did not ask for, and huffed and puffed when I politely asked them to change it. Pink is far from my color, but how would they know that since they didnt even ask me what color or design I wanted! After pointing to my friends toe and explaining that's what I wanted, I ended up leaving with a design that would only lead people to believe I was a raiders fan... Not sure how the hell that happened but I was sick of trying to explain to them that I just wanted a flower. After all of this... My total was $25 dollars. Uhhhh.... $6 and $8 does not equal $25 which leads me to believe that the designs I didn't even ask for cost me an extra $11 dollars?! If their artistry was going to almost double the cost of a simple color change, it would have been in good taste to post the price on their price list or at least let me know that they were that expensive. I'm not broke, but for the quality and the customer service, I am more than happy to give my regular place that money! I will not be going back to tips and toes and am almost mad at myself for even tipping them! read more

The lady was nice but didn't offer me a gel coating while other salons do for the same price. The nail chipped off when by day two. Also there was no cool glitter nail polish. The ones with a lot of glitter that you use as a top coat. I was bummed and had to go by my own. She tried to paint a flower on my toe but thought that orange and black looked good over red nail polish. Gag! Also there was no TV and as usual they talk in a foreign language.....which makes you feel left out and kind of insulted. read more

I'm not much of a person to get my nails done, but overall I was happy with the results. The staff appeared to clean the pedicure stations correctly if you're concerned about that kind of thing. They were also very efficient for how busy they were and seemed to fit everyone in within a few mins of walking through the door, yet I never felt rushed or hurried. The thing that got them four stars instead of three was the paraffin bath for your feet. Who know that your feet could be that soft after such an simple process. read more

Did a nice job on myself and 2 daughters. We went right after school and all sat together. They did great spiderwebs on the big toes for Halloween. Kids pedis were $20 including art. I recommend the middle pedi for $32 includes salt scrub and 20 min massage and hot wax...very relaxing. I found out after we left that the lady who did my 9yr old changed her color and told her it would look better with the spider web. She was a little upset but did like how the web turned out.
