Beware of fungus! I got a pedicure here and now have no toe nail. I know of two other that have had nail fungus after receiving services here. I have report them to the board of manicuring as this is improper infection control and client safety. They should be shut down. read more

I decided to go here based on a referral from a friend. I called a day ahead and made an appt for a full set of acrylics. When I arrived the technician was not there and waited over 10 minutes. Finally a woman walked in, sat down (what I thought was the technician) and started filing and started discussing how Hungary she was. About 3-5 minutes later another technician walked and and took over. I thought it was to allow my technician to grab some breakfast. I was confused at first, all to find out the second woman was my technician. I provided the technician a sample picture from Pinterest for painting my nails. Let's just say it has been over 5-6 years since I have gotten fake nails and now I remember why. The nails ended up thick looking, not smooth (ripples on the ends), and the color/look does not match my pIcture sample at all. I believe most of the technicians are only qualified for pedicures but do not contain enough experience with fake nails. First pic is the Pinterest sample. Second pic is what my end result is. I got a really bad infection in my finger from this salon!! It's been over a month and a half and my finger is still not back to normal after three doc apts, two courses of antibiotics, and sea salt soaks 3x a day - doctors now recommend surgery to be able to remove infection. I had a hangnail and one of the girls clipped it and cut me, and god only knows how dirty the tool was, cuz the very next day my finger was huge, throbbing and eventually pussing out multiple times. They do not sanitize their tools properly! They are cheap and do a good job on nails, but if you care about health and keeping all of your fingers intact and functional I would go to a place that actually sanitizes their tools and opens a new packet of clean tools in front you. Not worth the risk and I will forever be wary of where I get my nails done cuz I never want to go through this again!! read more

Major Shout about To Nails & More in Cameron Park!! moi. With so many negative posts about businesses missing the bar on Covid safety practices..I felt it was high time to give a positive shout out to a VERY deserving business! I'm back at the nail salon I usually go to. They were cleared to open today! Yaaayyy!! And it feels sooo good to be back!! They're doing an exemplary job with PPE and hygiene too! Upon entering..mine and my elderly friend had our temp immediately taken with a forehead thermometer..then we were pointed to the hand sanitizer. Everyone was wearing masks both staff and customers. We had to fill out and sign a Covid signs health question and put our full names, and phone numbers down. All of the nail stations had plexiglass shields. And all patrons were 6 feet apart or more. They also used disposable implements such as nail files, cleaning sponges etc. and gloves. Oh! And each nail station had a certificate on the wall letting their patrons know that they had taken and completed a Covid 19 safety course! We both felt very safe coming here:) Good job Nails & More!! My daughter and I went to get our nails done. She got a manicure and I got a fill. Love, love Lynn! She did a great job on my nails. She suggested I have more of an oval shape rather than the square shape I had gotten previously done at a different salon. She was very detailed and took her time. I will not be giving this business a single dollar of mine and I walked out before the appt began. I arrived for my appointment today at 2pm to the doors being locked and the lights turned off. Another lady who had made an appointment with her daughter was also waiting outside. They always greet you with a smile, and I don't know how but they all know my name and I really don't come in that often, maybe a pedi once every 2-3 months. At this point our skin and cuticles are burning. They kept taking people that were just coming in the door and moving my mom and I from chair to chair. We simply took our acetone wraps off and left. I have gone here for 15 years getting multiple pedicures and nails all week spending a lot of money... I used to love this place not only for decent prices, but such a friendly environment... But now, unless you get Sandy or Tracy, I have a bad experience. First of all, they have a poor attitude showing that they don't like doing it and they are always in a hurry never listening. Trying to get your money and get you out... Today was the worst! They moved onto another customer and said they didn't have time to paint my toes after I bought a $60 pedicure! If you are a Walk-In DO NOT GO HERE! I only say that because I have lived in and around Cameron Park for my entire life and Nails And More has always been in that corner by the Donut Shop. What this says to me is that they have many regulars that are happy here and keep it open. I respect that. That is in itself Small Business America. I also respect when I walk into a Nail Shop and they tell me that they are full. Can you come back later? Sure! Give me a time and I'll be back. It drives me nuts when they say "Pick your color lady, 5 min." Now I know they are lying. I didn't here this though. Cindy told me that they had someone to do Pink and White fill "right now". OK, I know what that means... 15 minutes... I have blocked out 2 hours out of my day to get a fill. Should be enough time right? It usually takes 45-50 minutes to complete the job? After 20 minutes the Maintenance Guy sits down in front of me. Yes. You read that right. The Maintenance Guy. Sweaty, dirty white shirt and jeans. Ya him. So I ask "Do you know how to do Pink and White?" "Yes lady, I do for you". Ok, well I'm here so let's do it. Within 10 minutes I could tell he had no idea what he was doing. He kept looking around for someone else to be done so they could take over. At this point I have been here for over an hour and I have an appt at 2, he is no where near done and my nails are RIDICULOUS! This guy does NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO DO THIS. He has no idea what he is doing!! After 45 minutes of this guy Cindy is done with her Client and I am moved to her chair. Now I admit to everyone I am LIVID! Especially since once I was moved to another chair he got up and started installing an Air Conditioning unit! So the part about the Maintenance Guy is not a lie. Seriously? WTF? It took another 45 minutes in Cindy's chair to reconstruct the damage. At this point I need to be in Folsom in 15 minutes and don't even have time for a top coat. She only charged me $20 which I would of gladly payed my $35 plus tip to avoid this nonsense. I wish I would of read the reviews before I thought of going to Nails and More. There are to many shops in and around town to deal with this. Not to mention it is dirty, cluttered and outdated. In over 20 years of having my nails done I have never experienced anything like this. I was super disappointed with this nail salon. I took my fiancé for his first pedicure and it was an awful first experience. They sat us when we came in and then we sat....and sat....and sat. 30 minutes goes by before were acknowledged. The entire time we were sitting there my water was cold and I would ask them to turn it up and it would be warm again for a minute but would go back to cold. I finally gave up and sat uncomfortably in cold water. The seats were all beat up and my fiancés chair massager did not work, nor did the adjustment portion of the chair. When we were finally helped the lady did a decent job with the whole process of a pedicure but the paint barely lasted a week, when usually my pedicures last for a month! It seems that they really try to cut costs with cheap polish and pedicure chairs even though they have ridiculously high prices. They certainly do not take care of the place and that made me really uncomfortable about the cleanliness of their equipment. I will not be back. Oh! and they only take cash or check - NO cards. read more
