I have gone to Sassy Nail for a couple years but mani/pedi have not been in my budget recently so it's been a while. I said I wanted a basic pedicure. The nail tech asked me at one point if I wanted her to massage my legs. I could swear that was included previously so I said yes. It was quite uncomfortable and I did try to communicate that she should stop rubbing my shin--it ended up bright red! Ok, but it's included, right? I get up to the pay station and the very sweet young lady say $40. What? Last time I remember it was more like $25. I could be wrong about that but she said it was because I said I wanted the massage. And to top it off they only want to take cash or they will charge you $1.75 extra. Oh, and a tip too, of course. A lot of small businesses are struggling these days and my heart goes out to them--especially for immigrants but I can't afford this anymore. Asked to get a full set off and a clearcoat on my nails after , they left them rough and unpolished. 10 out of 10 would not recommend to anyone. I don't know what to say, my nail technician was so kind, but I just don't think that the capabilities here are worthwhile.. when I tilt my hand down, you can see how uneven the powder was set on. I had glue stuck to all of my fingers and my nails were much longer than what I asked for. They lasted about a week and a half before they looked pretty mangled. I ended up taking them off on my own. This has clearly been my go-to nail spot since I moved to the area years ago. I recently went back during COVID times. I hadn't had my nails done in a year, and they were pretty bad. They were mostly empty when I went, but had partitions in place between your technician as well as between the other chairs. Masks were required and worn. I have been really hesitant to do any unnecessary things like hair or nails, but it felt totally reasonable here. My technician spent SO much time on my pedicure and manicure. She did an excellent job, and also went above and beyond on the massage. I felt really spoiled. With the long lasting polish, and basic manicure and pedicure, it set me back $46 before gratuity. I wanted to finally review this place because I have never been disappointed! My mom and I got an appointment today even though they ended up being super busy. My nails are beautiful and she took her time making sure they were exactly how I wanted them. They were down two nail artists today, had a bridal party come in, and were very busy with walk ins and STILL never rushed on my nails and apologized many time for taking a few phone calls at the beginning of my appointment. Hi, I had my nails done today at sassy nail, I had been there once before and the experience was great but unfortunately this visit wasnt. Biggest issue was the nail tech cutting my fingers multiple times, one of them actually bleeding. This sometimes does happen but this was 3-4 times. the nails themselves are pretty thick, I asked multiple times if she could thin them down but they're still way too thick. And the paint job isn't even, while the shaping isn't even on the fingers either. My first visit was great and I rly liked it but unfortunately, I WOULDNT go back due to my second experience. read more

I am an out-of-towner here visiting family. I called Sassy Nails and made an appointment for later that afternoon. When the time came, I jumped in my car, searched "Sassy Nails" on Google maps and was on my way. When I arrived, I was greeted politely and said I have an appointment. The kind man checked his bookings--no appointment. I told him I was sure I made an appointment. He looked confused and checked his computer again. No appointment. Well, it turns out there are TWO (unrelated) nail salons named "Sassy Nails"--one in Placerville and one in Cameron Park. I must have made the appointment at Cameron Park and then Google Maps took me to Placerville instead. The kind man is Chris, and he not only fit me in on a busy afternoon, but also gave me a beautiful gel manicure. He was also gracious accepting my payment and tip via credit card since I forgot to bring cash. I highly recommend this salon. The people are friendly and Chris did a great job. My daughter and I went to get a pedicure a few days ago. I stopped coming here because it really needs a good cleaning...it still does!!! You would think being closed, due to Covid, at least two months someone would have spent sometime giving it a thorough cleaning. The floor around the pedicure chairs was disgusting. I didn't have the best experience here. The customer service was very good, and I was able to make an appointment with no problem, and that was appreciated. Halfway through my pedicure, however, the nail tech took apart the lighted jet in the tub where my feet were soaking, and proceeded to clean it with his gloves still on, and then grabbed my nails and began working! Super unsanitary. Also, I had purposely grown out my nails with the intention of having a gel coat put over them, and he trimmed them down super short after I had said I wanted to keep the length :( It did look very busy in there though, and I have had multiple recommendations to try going there again, so I am hoping that this experience is out of the norm and will be different if I decide to go back. read more

I just wanted updated my review because I've been here twice since my first experience and both times I had to Wait a lot even tho I had an apt. First time o had to wait around 45 min!! The woman doing my husband's feet "Linda" cut his toe, after him repeatedly telling her his toe was sore to be careful because he might have an ingrown toenail. After she cut him she tried to hide the fact she cut him and mix the blood in the water but he saw and snapped a picture. After this service I don't think we will be back. The only reason they are getting a one star is because you can't give zero. Zero customer service, zero organization, zero cleanliness and zero management. I have tried coming in several times, a Monday afternoon at 3pm, a Wednesday at 11am and again on a Thursday at 1pm - each time I was told they were busy and to return in 2-3hrs or the next day. Today when I arrived I was told they don't take walk-ins and the next available appointment for a pedicure was 2pm the following day. When I looked around I saw two of several pedicure chairs were in use and two customers were waiting while 4 employees stood around, two on their phones and another 2 near a girl who was practicing nails on a hand. When I said I couldn't come back then I was given a rude and snotty smirk and told "okay fine, you can leave." When asking to speak to a manager I was told none are available. My manicure started great and then when another customer came in demanding her apt. Time be met or she would leave, I lost my nail tech. My replacement nail tech was horrible! DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY ABUSED. My appointment was with the owner and he immediately tried to talk me out of the design I wanted. When I was firm he told me he would only do one nail like I wanted and the rest plain. I refused again and was firm with what I wanted. I sat down and he started my nails. He made rude comments about me under his breath and kept asking me to change the design I wanted. He told me what I wanted to do was not going to look good. He kept manhandling me because he was mad at me, stabbing his sharp nails into my fingers, yanking on my hands and fingers and pulling on my fingers like he was trying to yank them out. This torture lasted for over an hour and a half. He told me I was keeping him from eating his lobster dinner at the Redhawk casino. When we were finished he charged me an extra $10 inconvenience fee. I will NEVER give this man my business again. This is his job and he was rude to the customer. He shouldn't be in business. I wish I didn't have to give this place a star. Don't waste your money here. They messed up my toes and my nails and wanted to charge me extra to fix their mistakes .

I had my acrylics taken off here, they tried to pull them off dry. I've been to places where they would soak the nails so that it could be easier to take off, the nail tech John kept pulling on them when I've told him multiple times to soak them because it would hurt every time he would pull them off. He did not listen to me until the very end after all my nails have been throbbing. Okay. And on top of that, he filed my nails way to thin, and up to this very moment my nails are in soo much pain.
