During my third visit, I paid $75 for a pedicure that turned out to be the worst I've ever had. There was cuticle everywhere and they didn't even scrub my feet. I have been going to Mikey to get my nails done for over 5 years. I have followed him to a couple different salons, and I am so happy and proud that him and Jo are now the new owners here! They do great work, and I can be pretty picky, but you can just show them a photo of what you want, and they can do it even better! They know you by name when you walk in. I moved to Placerville last year and finally found an excellent nail salon that provided excellent customer service, fabulous nail jobs and a relaxed atmosphere. A&D Nails on Broadway in Placerville. They are fantastic! Mikey and the staff are great at what they do and are very professional. I had tried Angels Nails and Spa in town (that is listed as one of the first nail salons in Placerville places on Yelp here because they pay a lot of money for that top space); they were horrible! Chaotic. Noisy. Changed people 2-3 times in one visit. Never was satisfied with the job they did no matter how much I explained what I wanted (which was very simple). I loved the pedicure I got here. My mom always goes here for her acrylics and loves it but this is my first time and I would definitely recommend. I was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away but I do recommend getting an appointment. Fairly priced about 35 for the lowest tier pedicure but you get a lot out of it! Scrub, lotion massage, the works everything was very thorough and felt amazing. They paid very close attention to detail and had very friendly attitudes. Well I guess a one-star rating is a little unfair... To me because I didn't even get to get my nails done here. I came in as a walk-in and she said she didn't have time to see me because she had two clients already. I waited 10 minutes and then I called and miraculously she was able to fit me in in an hour. So I sat in the parking lot and waited and ended up walking in 10 minutes too late and there was a woman sitting in there who obviously hadn't yet had her nails started but was a walk in. I was informed that I was late and I miss my opportunity okay.. But that was after she said' oh it's you ' which felt like she just didn't want to serve me for whatever reason. All in all it was okay because I went up the street and thanks 100 plus dollars with a salon that wanted my business! read more

Just went here with my daughter we were walks-ins and waited ten minutes to get our nails done. (No problem) We both got polish changes on our toes and that's it . It was a whopping $40 BUCKS . I've already had a poor experience here, but i decided to give them another chance. I came here with a friend, and we paid 50 each for nude/pink to white ombré. For lack of better terms, they looked ratchet. First of all, sanitation here does not exist. It's so dirty. She used dirty files, you could visibly see the dust on the tools from previous use on other clients, the acrylic brush was all torn up, and overall the store is not sanitized whatsoever. When it comes down to the nails themselves, that's a whole different story. There was no cuticle prep and they were lumpy and uneven. the worst part is i even showed her a picture of what i wanted, and she couldn't even get the colors, shape, ombré, or length correct!!! Never coming here again. I'm going to report to DCA, i don't know how this place is even still open. read more

I really hate to be one of those people who leave terrible reviews but this 100% necessary. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I did, with this place. I'll try to keep it short; don't go here. These women don't know what they're doing. My nails started breaking two days after I got them done here. They looked absolutely terrible. It was a waste of money. $35 for a fill and it didn't even look like I got my nails done. They were thin and crooked. Lumpy and painted terribly. This place was also gross. Dirty. It blows my mind that they are even still in business. They need to be shut down. They're basically stealing people's money. If you go here, I promise you'll regret it. This place is a nightmare! GO TO ANGEL NAILS! The do a great job and fills are only $27! read more

This place ripped off my family! My two daughters and granddaughters got mani and pedi with gel polish there and spent 300.00. Within 24 hours both my daughter's had one nail popped off of each of them and when my granddaughter took a shower, all her gel polish washed right off. Called to complain and they said "no refund policy". Don't throw your money away to this business. read more

I went in there a month ago for a manicure and it was sooo unprofessional I felt like not paying for the services but didn't want to cause a scene! The women are so rude- One lady started working on my nails then they switched cause I guess the other one was on break or something cause she was eating right there. She set her food down and then came to finish my nails, didnt wash her hands or anything, whatever she was eating had onions in it cause she kept burping in my face! Heres the part to pay attention to----- When filing my nails she was grinding it into my skin and I said ouch and jerked my hand a few times and finally said ok stop that hurts and she just said almost done. She caused one of my cuticles to BLEED from filing so rough and then just put a few drops of water on it from the bowl I soaked my nails in to wipe the blood off. THEN she just put the file back in her tool kit- umm hello?? Im pretty sure that had some blood on it- might want to disinfect it or throw it away! I reluctantly paid for the horrible services rendered and somehow my total was 5$ more than the price i was told at the beginning and when I asked why cause I didnt get a flower or extra exfoliation or anything-they just stared at me blankly. I paid before them painting my nails so I thought maybe I mistakenly agreed to have a flower or something? But no, My nail polish wasnt even close to dry when they said I was done but apparently it had been 3 minutes and I just wanted to get out of there. The end result a horrible uneven paint job and a waste of money- and she painted my nail when the cuticle was still bleeding and just kept painting over my dried blood that had filled the crease of my nail.. again- completely unsanitary!! I invited my 9 month pregnant friend who left her 2 young children at home (so did I) to meet for a little "girl" time which we both hadn't had in so long together! We had no idea what was about to unfold! From the dirty atmosphere to the dirty tools! To the old nail polish and the either freezing or burning hot water we soaked our feet in! Literally my feet spent about 10 seconds in the water followed by a 5 min. "very rough" massage! Than quick paint job and I semi got to dry my toes but they told my girlfriend her toes would dry in her car on her way home! There was nothing for us to drink (water) They didn't help either one of us with our stuff or shoes! You would think at least help the pregnant women in and out of her chair...nope! They were eating and washing themselves and couldn't get us out fast enough! They only spoke in there language most of the time, hardly ever to stop and ask us a question but when they did it was directed to my girlfriend asking her when she was due with her baby? Than the same lady turned to me and ask me when I was due (I'm not pregnant by the way) I answered her with a offended tone..I'm "NOT" pregnant! She sat there and said nothing, no apology or anything! Needless to say I wanted to get the hell out of there but my girlfriend drove out of her way to meet me plus being 9 months pregnant she barley can reach her toes anymore, LOL! I couldn't believe this women who ask me a question like that and not to even say "sorry"! The rest of the time was awkward, uncomfortable and very embarrassing! I do consider myself a very polite, patient, understanding person who tries to gives everyone the benefit of the doubt! But I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone!
