I started going to Angels nail salon in November 2025 with my daughter. The first lady I had do a manicure/ pedicure was rough. When my daughter asked, if I wanted to go again with her. I told her, no the last time the lady that did my manicure/pedicure was too rough. My daughter spoke to her lady who had another lady, Tammy do my manicure /pedicure the next time. Tammy was amazing. She did a great job on my gel pedicure. Awesome job on my manicure and was NOT rough. Her leg/arm messages almost put me to sleep . I would recommend this nail salon especially Tammy. This was the worst pedicure I've ever had! I left very upset and still paid, but now I'm so upset with myself for doing so! I was cut multiple times and left bleeding on several toes! My daughter and I made an appointment to have pedicures done here for my birthday. It was very busy and we sat in our chairs for about 40 mins before getting our pedicures (with an appointment). My feet were like prunes sitting in the water that long and the water for cold. The nail tech was rough and did not pay attention to detail (as you can see by the photo). Will not be returning and I wish I did not spend my birthday getting pedicures here. I have had acrylic nails for most of my life doing them myself. After I broke my arm and my leg at the same time I started using salons. The abundance of color choices was amazing and I decided to stay with the Salon experience. It is difficult, however, to find a salon that is magnificent. I'm so disappointed. This same scenario happened with myself and my girlfriends a while back. But I decided to give them another chance. Never again. Yesterday, I took my 3 daughters in to get mani/pedis for prom this weekend. Sister bonding time at the nail salon. They had an appointment at 4 pm. I dropped them off to run errands. By 5:30, one of my daughters still was waiting her turn. Meanwhile, walk-ins were taken. They finished up with my other two daughters and my oldest had to go without. Don't go here with others and expect to get your nails done together. Also, my daughter sat in the pedi water for 30 minutes before anyone started her pedicure. By the time they got to her, the water was cold. She was too shy to speak up. I was charged $225 for my two daughters that got their nails done. No discount for never getting around to the 3rd kiddo. Terrible customer service in my book. Now we have to hope we can walk-in somewhere this morning before prom tonight. read more

Able to get a reservation the day of; went to salon out of desperation. Lots of colors to choose from. Technician was scraping the gel off my nails really roughly until she realized after the 4th nail that my nails (which are fairly long) are natural - then she was significantly more gentle / not to strip my nails (but too late!) Gel Manicure took 90 minutes ans lasted 9 days before it started significantly chipping- I usually make 18-21 days. read more

My sister and I were very disappointed. The staff rushed us and we ended up with marred nails. They did offer to fix that, but we'd already been there as long as we wanted. Also, they applied a different color than we had chosen and didn't do a stellar job in the shaping. We think part of the problem was that they barely seemed to understand English. My nails last at least 3 weeks - but longer as well - so when I can't get in, I don't worry about losing a nail! Jill is incredible and very artistic! Well it is true the place in under new ownership and have an impressive menu of options. I do not mind paying for the higher end pedicures that include and mention a massage, if the nail salon tech is really good a leg and feet massage. I went in today for a pedicure, the girl was one from the original shop and previously provided a wonderful massage, so I accepted her recommendation to try the Royal package ($70). Bad news the massage was terrible.. I believe the tech fell asleep for her eyes were closed and she kept jumping like waking up and the front of my leg was well rubbed. I believe that if you are going to have such a wonderful menu of choices, hire people who make the request worth the money. I am disappointed in Placerville. read more

I have had several appointments here. Some good some bad. One guy is super rough and mean, if I move at all he presses my hands down hard. And makes me feel uncomfortable every time. I got a couple nail bed cuts that got infected from his rough nail filing, that made me never want to go back. I feel he has a little anger issue. But then there is the other two that answer the phone that are really good and nice! So ask for one of them and not the one with the glasses, unless you don't care to be man handled. If you get anxiety making an appointment that's a bad sign. Okay, okay~So what's up with the manicure + pedicure receipt costing so much, eh, Shirley? Hold up~Don't get your unmentionables bound up, giving yourself an egregious Melvin!!!! Here's the bottom line: I haven't had a manicure or a pedicure, since January 2018; I have been seriously ill the last few months due to my body becoming acclimated living in a higher altitude, there's been bouts of deep, freezing temperatures to radical spurts of intermittent, heat waves my body wasn't accustomed handling, since I'm a Transplant from the San Francisco Bay Area=Mediterranean Micro-Climate to permanently living in the Sierra Foothills' Mountainous Region Climate~WTH . . . SICK~ \('-- __ --')/~right?! Right! The last plan was visiting a nail salon in April 2018 BUT, my pneumonia lingered sending me catapulting to the VA Hospital . . . I thought I was cured ready making a nail salon appointment but, I went shopping at Nordstrom during the first week of May 2018 and a sick woman coughed right at my face . . . Five days later, I'm back at the VA Hospital sick for the entire month of May! CRAP~I couldn't breathe at all~Waaaaah! As a result of being critically ill, my hands and feet began compiling layers upon layers of alligator skin . . . Ewwwww~So gross! In order completely eliminating the alligator skin, hang nails, dry cuticles, and nails completely chipping/splitting, I had no choice but, obtaining the elite (?), skin, detoxification, circulation treatment for my hands and feet! Wow~My cosmetologist used REAL lemon slices on my legs and feet plus, she used a lemon extract on my hands and arms; I guess she could tell I've been very ill . . . FYI: Lemons help organically eliminate whatever toxins were left from taking 500-milligrams of antibiotics and prednisone for TWO months. Thus, my entire detoxification, manicure/pedicure treatment appointment was an arduous task from 11:15 AM until 1:35 PM! That's a lot of work getting all the eebee-jeebees eliminated from my body, right? RIGHT! After finishing the treatment and leaving Angel Nail Salon around 1:35 PM, which is now almost 6:00 PM completing writing my YELP! Review for Angel Nail Salon, my hands, arms, legs, and feet are still tingling from the detoxification, circulation treatment! Whoa~My mind has been blown away by the awesome treatment my body so desperately needed! THUS-Four services rendered on June 14, 2018: $40 x 2=Custom (elite?) pedicure + manicure; gel nail application=$15.00 pedicure + $15.00 manicure + $18.00 tip=$108.00=PROOF! I'm so grateful booking my appointment with Mikey via YELP! and having a patient, "Angel" Cosmetologist who worked arduously insuring my hands and feet appearing presentable but most importantly, regaining healthy hands and feet after being so seriously ill for months: Seriously, if you've been ill, it's dire you have a manicure and a pedicure procedure done as soon as you're well and especially, do not leave your house exposing your illness to unsuspecting, human beings like that woman at Nordstrom who inconsiderately coughed at my face! BTW: The Peeps with diabetes, I highly recommend you receive the detoxification, circulation treatment for your hands and feet; your hands and feet will definitely feel better afterwards. This is to clarify that the photo being used in the heading for this salon is 2 years old. That photo showing pictures a damaged cuticle when the shop was managed by the former owner. Not the present owner that just assumed responsibilities 7/1/22. It's not only unfair to portray the photo as a recent matter, it is unethical. I recommend that you visit the shop as it is today, newly painted and all new salon furniture & fixtures. I've included a photo of my mani, my natural nails, dipped, by Jill. She's been doing my nails for years. A dip lasts me at least 3 weeks.
