Here on vacation for a wedding and my hair was a mess. I needed a last minute appointment and wanted it dyed, cut and blow out and style with 4 hours and counting until the ceremony. Shelley, who is unbelievable kind, knowledgeable and fun accepted the challenge and my hair has never looked better, even at my own wedding!The price is completely reasonable and the shop is conveniently located and clean. It had a very friendly atmosphere and the guy that was working there's name is Brent, super cool guy, told me all about the history of the town and the shop, very calming experience and I'd come back allll the way out to Placerville to get my hair done HERE; even from Sacramento and beyond! Prior to finding Studio B in Placerville, I spent a lot of time looking in Marin County, for someone who could manage the challenge that is my hair. It's very thin hair and Brent works miracles. I was given an appointment promptly. Service was outstanding! A facial by Heather was the best I have ever had! She is knowledgeable and tailors your facial to best suit your skin's needs. She also did a great job shaping my brows. Very comfortable lip and eyebrow wax. Hair cut, color and highlight by Tylynn was outstanding! I have received many compliments already. Went to Brent after 3 very bad haircuts at other locations. He quickly assessed and fixed the issues. It's been 6 weeks since my short cut and had no issues with it growing during this time. Rychelle did a great job on my hair. I came in with horrible split ends and tangles. I didn't even bother to brush them out and she was so patient doing it for me. When she was finished I had soft silky hair with layers. Afterwards she did my eyebrows. I'm really happy that I found a nice higher end salon that is close to home. I will have to look into facials and eyelash extensions here. read more

I have been coming to Studio B for years when visiting and have had multiple services done from all of the employees! I have always left so pleased and feeling great with the work they do on my hair. I have recently moved home and was in need of multiple services. I had a different person for lashes, waxing and facials down in Southern California and Heather has fulfilled all three of them! She is efficient, meticulous, so friendly, and my lashes have lasted far longer than any other esthetician I have gone to. Studio B also carries Eminence products (yay!) which are also used for the facials and Heather does an incredible job. She is so informative, when you want her to be, but also knows when you want to veg out and relax. I highly recommend Heather for all of your esthetician needs :) read more

I did research on this salon, prior to calling, most all was very good. so i called, and spoke with the owner, Brent. I explained to him my issues, (color damage) I needed color and healthy hair care. I met with Rychelle. I explained my concerns, wanted to clean up my hair, she made a different cut recommendation, I trusted her, she was the professional. I wish I could share a photo. I am so embarrassed by my hair. It looks like a 5 year old found the scissors... My hair is dark brown underneath, blonde on top...and it was long. I left the salon that day not realizing how bad it was. After I returned for a Keratin treatment and to try and clean it up, it only got worse. Brent intervened, Rychelle walked off. I truly don't know what happened, why she cut what she did. Brent then had his other hair stylist try and make it better. She really tried, put in a few foils to try and blend the colors where Rychelle cut chunks out of my hair. Brent also did not charge me for any services, prior to the foils, but I did pay for that. .I would have paid anything not to go through this. I'm 49, and my hair WAS below my shoulders, and it will finish to almost a shaggy pixie, if I'm lucky...and nothing about it is pretty anymore...I used to get compliments all the time. I'll be in a baseball cap for the foreseeable future...not even enough for a pony tale. I learned my lesson, the hard way. read more

So glad to back with Brent taking charge of my hair wants and needs. I needed the right color and he pulled it off perfectly. Wanting a certain long cut, supplied a couple of pictures, and he did it exactly how I wanted. His entourage of ladies are also very talented and friendly. Brent is the only one I know around who has ventured out for other hair, face, body products that are not Aveda (this manufacturer has lost all it's integrity). I highly recommend their esthetician, Haley Judge. If you want someone who listens to your needs and can deliver incredible results. She is one of the rare people these days that truly understands customer service. The facials and makeup that she has given me are the best I have ever received. I am amazed at this young woman's knowledge and ability. She not only designed a specific facial for me she also asked me what MY concerns were as well. Then she tailored a personal facial to meet all my needs. Haley uses only organic products. I do not feel comfortable with using anything else on my skin. She not only knows what she is talking about, she has such a delightful personality as well. This review should not be taken lightly, based on the fact that I too was an esthetician for over 30 years. Well I am here to confirm that not only is she fantastic at her profession but that she is also the,"only", one I trust to be my skin care specialist. I would say that the only disappointment for me is that the salon is not closer to where I live. But, even with the distance, it is well worth the drive for me to go to her.
