I have found the perfect hair salon. Donna ( owner) is an amazing woman. The moment I walked in the door I felt completely at home and welcome. She took a great deal of time discussing her thoughts on how she would like to do my hair and then listened to my concerns. We came up with a great game plan and she did an awesome amazing job. 6/8/2018: I visited Michael Schmidt for my second hair appointment for a single, color treatment. Michael inspected my haircut and style he performed on May 4, 2018 repairing the disgusting, whacked haircut Paul Mitchell Salon did to my long hair months earlier; this appointment, Michael had to correct the hair coloring Paul Mitchell colored my hair-wrong shade. Gee~From now on, I'm visiting Michael for cutting, styling, and coloring my hair: No more whacked, "avant-garde" hair coloring or styling for me from Paul Mitchell Salons-that's a given! Anyway, I set up several, advanced, hair appointments with Michael insuring my hair remains beautifully styled and well-maintained. I just wish Michael could do Japanese hair straightening because my hair has this freaky wave half-way down from my scalp; it's just so weird how my hair is so wavy! Michael noticed my hair's the waviness on the back of my head: Michael looked like he was trying to figure a way straightening my hair without using such a drastic hair treatment process. I hope Michael will figure out a solution for my wavy hair by my next appointment! read more

I am still enjoying the fabulous cut I got from Donna, the owner, a couple weeks ago. Donna very attentively listened to my description of what I wanted (and did not want). She spent time testing my hair and helped me come up with a cut after giving me lots of good options. I do not style or use products in my hair, I just scrunch wet and go. This is the first time EVER that the stylist listened to me and did not blow out my delicate curls and put sticky goo on my fine hair. I feel like this is the best hair cut I have ever had! I typically walk out feeling way more relaxed after an appointment. - the atmosphere. I love the atmosphere and the aveda tea it's so soothing. The ambiance is nice too, its a cozy salon with style. The head, neck and scalp massage is awesome. All the stylists I've met seem friendly and welcoming. Which is nice this is not the first Aveda concept salon I've been to. I did go to another local salon and never felt this comfortable there. I do have a personal favorite and she is the only one I have been going to for about a year now. I highly recommend Nicole Ozenne. She is amazing and is a great listener which I personally think is very important when you are trying a new cut or color. I had super long hair for a decade and let her cut my hair to just below my chin. She did a beautiful job. She does hair with such precision, I just can't say enough. I don't trust many people with my hair. I've gone to Amy a few times now and she is a PERFECTIONIST. She listens to everything you say, and will take the extra time to make sure your hair is exactly like you want. Unfortunately, I travel for work, and sometimes I have to get my hair done on the road because I can't wait the two weeks or so to come back here - at least this is an Aveda salon so they can call Bella Capelli for my color formula.....but I still dread straying. This place is great! I tend to wear my hair long and untaimed so, I was a bit nervous about getting my hair cut. as it turns out, Emily was a real professional. She asked questions about what I wanted, gave me a head and shoulder massage and always asked permission before doing anything to my hair we had not talked about. The result... Tonya was amazing! I had some sciatic issues and tension from sitting at a computer all day. She had me feeling so much better within 10 minutes of my massage. I also had her do a 30 minute facial for rosascea and it was incredible. Her massages felt better than accupuncture and the facial did not irritate my skin and had me drifting off to sleep. They had a great rating, so I made my appointment with Emily. What a GREAT experience. The girls in the salon were so friendly from the moment I walked in. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed. For $60 you'd think you'd get a blow dry with your hair cut, but no its $10 extra. The fumes are so strong in this place it made my eyes water the whole time-this advertises itself to be an upscale salon, this shouldn't be. In addition the haircut was not an expert cut. It was not what I asked for, I can't wait till it grows out and I won't be back. The place was next to empty on a Friday afrernoon - with good reason.
