This review is for Christy! I was a walk-in appointment and luckily there was availability with not too long of a wait for a basic haircut. In the past I've been not so thrilled with how my hair turned out, especially since I'm not asking for anything out of the ordinary. The last couple of times from other stylists my ends have looked choppy, and I have to curl it inward to hide it. I communicated my concern to Christy, who asked me lots of questions, took her time, and even gave me some advice on some hair products I was using. The most memorable moment was when she asked me to stand up from my chair toward the end so that she could check her work to make sure that my ends were even. I've never had that kind of attention toward what I feel is a pretty basic, boring haircut (which is exactly what I wanted). I will definitely be going back to Christy when I need a haircut next! read more

Really frustrating experience. We've driven to BellaBe Salon twice during their posted business hours, and both times no one was there. There was no indication that they were closed or that the hours were different from what was posted. We wasted our time and gas making two separate trips for nothing. If your posted hours aren't accurate or you're only open by appointment, that needs to be clearly communicated so customers don't waste their time driving over. After this happening twice, I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here without calling first. read more

My first time coming to this salon, recommended by my cousin in law. Very much impress with the cleanliness, organized and stock wet bar ( where all the magic happens) wash and condition your hair as well as where they mix all the ingredients to make your ideal color. Antonio, was awesome, he put life back to my hair. He knew exactly how I wanted my hair cut and color. My head felt like 10 pounds lighter and easy to manage hair style. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Amazing 1st experience at the bellabe salon!! I got a haircut, washed and styled, everything came out exactly as I wanted!! I wanted to keep my same kind of haircut, just do more of a trim, nothing too big. I have long layers in the back, face framing layers, and some long curtain bangs with a center part. The haircut was perfect, just as I wanted. The wash and style came out so great, much better than I ever expected! I wanted a blowout look, got a SUPER bouncy blowout (exactly as I wanted!!) and it looked so great! After showing my family and friends, I got so many compliments. :)) The customer service was great! I was offered some water and the 2 ladies helping me were so kind and friendly. I would come back here again, and recommend this place for anyone looking to get a haircut in Folsom. read more

I'm not one to write bad reviews but I was particularly annoyed and irritated with my recent experience here! I went to Bellabe for the first time many months ago and got highlights done! I liked my stylist a lot but when it was time for a touch up, she wasn't available and directed me to Ellaine! It started out well enough with her reaching out and discussing my options and then she set up an appointment for a particular Friday. Now the Tuesday of that week she messages me confirming my appointment for Wednesday. Naturally I was puzzled cuz the appointment was for Friday which I reminded her to which she responded she doesn't have Friday available and if I cancel last moment I'll have to pay full price. Luckily I had the receipts to prove that I wasn't wrong and sent her the screenshots of her saying she was booking me for Friday to which she responds that she's sorry but she made a mistake and won't be able to take me cuz she already has someone else booked for the day! That's it. Nothing else. Nothing about how she can make it up, whether she can accommodate me another day! She just said talk to the salon and that while I did indeed confirm Friday "that's not gonna a change a thing". Now obviously, I was pissed and told her this was ridiculous and the only reason I even continued the conversation was because the previous stylist whom I like suggested her and this was very unprofessional to which she didn't even have the decency to reply. And while this may not seem like a big deal, I'm only writing such a big review to point out the hypocrisy in the system where the phrase "the customer is always right" is used only to point the flaws in that statement but what when the business is actually wrong? If I had canceled less than 24 hours no matter how serious and legit the reason, I would have been expected to pay full price but if the business makes a mistake there are absolutely no consequences?! I called them to let them know what happened and while the person on the phone seemed considerate and took a message no one even got back! Well, I won't be returning for sure! And yes, the customer is indeed right sometimes! read more

I can't say enough great things about Tasha. She's one of those rare hairstylists who not only knows her craft inside and out, but also has a natural talent for really seeing what works for you. What makes her unique is her attention. She listens, she offers suggestions that make sense, and she always delivers a result that looks even better than what you imagined. If you're looking for someone who is consistent, talented, and an all-around great human being, Tasha is the one. Five stars without hesitation! read more

I highly recommend Antonio! Although he's new to this location, he's been my go-to stylist for the past 7 years. His versatility is unmatched--we've done everything from bold, bright magenta colors to a dramatic bob, blonde transformations, balayage, highlights, and more. I absolutely love the new location and the ample parking. The entire team is friendly and welcoming, and booking appointments is a breeze. Antonio is also very reasonably priced and consistently delivers amazing results. If you're in the Folsom area, don't hesitate to book an appointment with him! read more

My original review: Major disappointment. Not follow through on followup appointment. Lying about being available. Not returning phone calls. Not worth it. Owner's/stylist-Alisa response: After your first appointment you were advised to book online or call in advance. You did not do so & the space was filled. You called and spoke with the owner demanding a time that was booked by other guests. We apologize, but we do not move existing guests to accommodate others. My reply to the owner: Please stop lying. Even in your response above you're contradicting yourself. You assured us during our initial appointment that you'll accommodate our next visit, being a short and fast "tidy-up" haircut. I called your salon five days in advance of a possible appointment and no one answered. I left a voice message asking that you, Alisa, would please call me back and agree on a time. In my voice message I also informed you that the times listed on your website would not work for us, and that's why we would need to talk in person. I was following your instruction of "calling in advance" before booking. I kept on calling the next day and still no one answered, until the middle of the day, when one of your staff finally answered my call. I asked her if you were in, and she said no. I then asked her to deliver my message, and asked if you could please call me back. You never called me back. We never spoke again after the initial appointment. Your accusation of me "demanding" that you take away someone else's time is preposterous and a huge lie. Your assurances were all lies, and now, you've had the audacity of replying to my review with false accusations and more lies. Your reckless attitude towards your customers shows. Good luck shooting yourself in the foot, because according to other reviewers' experiences, we are not the first nor the only customers that you've mistreated. As I said in my original review: you're not worth all this aggravation. Disgusting. read more

Elaine is the absolute best! She cut, colored and styled my hair. I have fine hair, she knows exactly how to cut it without making it look thinned out. The color added depth and dimension that my hair was lacking before. She's excellent at consulting and making recommendations to ensure you get the best results!! I highly recommend you try to get on her books. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Elaine! read more

I've been going to Elaine for over 4 years now, and I can confidently say she's the absolute best! Every visit is a wonderful experience, and she always exceeds my expectations. She listens carefully to what I want, offers expert advice, and consistently delivers flawless results. Whether it's a fresh cut, color, or styling, her skill and attention to detail are unmatched. I trust her completely and wouldn't dream of going to anyone else. If you're looking for a talented, reliable, and friendly hairdresser, look no further. Highly recommend! Anytime I have ever gone to her, elaine is highly considerate and cares. She would be available to fix my hair if I didn't like it.(which is always perfect) and really cares about the health of your hair, if you start to see breakage or damage she is to the rescue and always tells you if you need a cut . She cares so much and she'll refuse to damage your hair. She wants the best for her clients and for them to have healthy, beautiful hair! read more

my hair cut was horrible it's so choppy and uneven. gave me bangs i didn't even ask for. the girl said she only did hair for fun probably didn't even have a license. the whole reason i went in there is to get the ends of my hair cut off in the back, i walked out with only the front of my hair cut and literal bangs. i didn't even get the back of my hair cut. i won't be coming back read more

My go to hair stylist is Antonio. He is great at what he does and always has me feeling myself at the end. He's super kind and respectful, he'll never have you feeling awkward. Worst service ever. I am new to Folsom and when I booked the appointment, I made it very clear that I have curly hair. This person called Ashley is just really bad. She cut my hair without even checking the texture and curls. Half way through she is recommending me curl specialist and cut my hair rely really short and cut was super bad. Just hated the service. On top of it she was so double booked. I hated the salon and their service and most of the incompetent people who work there. I came out really unhappy. Just horrendous service! Never recommend anyone to go there for a cut especially Ashley. Very poor service. Never ever going back in there. Pathetic pathetic pathetic. Go there only if you want to feel ugly. Worst service! read more

I moved to Sacramento in the midst of the pandemic, and when it came time to picking a hair stylist I was clueless. After reading through tons of reviews on Yelp, I found Sam. And she exceeded my expectations. So much so, that when it was time for me to get my hair styled again I followed her to Folsom. On both occasions, she has taken the time to listen to me and even show me how to curl my hair to achieve the same style she gave me. She is amazing. If you're looking for someone who actually listens to you and will give you exactly what you want, book an appt with Sam. Also, the staff at BellaBe were extremely warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend booking an appt here. They are so friendly! read more

When arriving I noticed the salon is clean and looks well kept, the front has a ton of hair care products to shop from, and they have a sign saying they take walk ins if they can. I made an appointment and due to a medical appointment the hair stylist was going to have to reschedule, but another stylist was able to take me at the same time. I really appreciated the communication and them working to still fit me in. Sabrina did my hair cut and I absolutely love it. I showed her a photo and then she went over some details with me. It turned out exactly as I wanted. Overall was very happy with my visit and plan to go back read more

I came into BellaBe hoping to restore my hair after a botched cut and color from another salon. Wendy is an expert!! I am so impressed and surprised that I was able to find a stylist here in Folsom with impeccable skills!! I truly thought I would have to go to a bigger city such as LA or SF to get someone to fix my hair. Before discovering Bellabe, I got my hair dyed for the first time ever by a professional stylist at a different salon which was an awful mistake. Needless to say, I was pretty hopeless because my trust in someone's abilities were slim. Finding a good hairstylist and salon seems nearly impossible these days especially here! Thankfully that's not the case anymore because BellaBe is a hidden gem!! I actually wish it would stay that way, but I know eventually it will get really popular lol. One day while shopping I seen BellaBe nearby and decided to book a hair appointment since I really needed to get my hair fixed asap. I got paired up with Wendy and I am so thankful that happened because she took the time to figure out exactly what she needed to do to get the desired color. Wendy is the most down to earth person I have met at a salon who is highly skilled and has high expectations for her work. You'll feel a sense of comfort around her because she is very sweet and explains the process from start to finish. At the beginning of the hair appointment she said that I would need two sessions because its a process and she doesn't want to add unnecessary damage to my hair. After the first session I almost cried happy tears because she exceeded my expectations and did EXACTLY what I asked for. It was insane to think this was just the first session and I'm more than happy with it. I can't imagine how much better it could look since I'm already relieved that my hair doesn't look like a brassy uneven mess anymore! The after picture ONE out of TWO sessions which is phenomenal!! So excited to come back! read more

So in recent years have been battling with alopecia....I would have never noticed, but, my hairdresser told me about it. Although, I have been dying my hair for many years. The products that were used made my scalp itch ...so I decided to look for a salon with organic dye. I was referred to Ali through a mutual friend ...and lo and behold my scalp didn't itch when dye was applied. What a relief I also love the salon with the water feature & Ali is awesome. I will definitely be back. read more

Terrible their website shows pricing yet when you book and call they say the pricing is from 2020. It's a simple I.T. fix to change your prices. When you question why the website isn't accurate, they say you clearly can't afford us, don't come in. I guess business is good they don't care how nasty the treat potential clients. completely messed up my color. very splotchy dye job... color washed out in two days as well as having a redo appointment, for the first mistake they made, it messed my hair up more. the appointment fried my hair as well as having the color wash out AGAIN in another two days... very expensive prices for not a very good salon. i have gone elsewhere to get my hair fixed and the stylist said that the hair dye was cheap and that if i had went back for a third time to get my hair fixed by them that it could have totally stripped my hair beyond repair. read more

After two years, I'm still impressed with Alisa and her salon. I have always been pleased with my haircuts and, on occasion, color. Everyone is professional, and the salon is always immaculate. I am growing my natural color out and just wanted to blend it into the blonde highlights I had been doing for years. I basically just needed my root color dragged down into the blonde a bit to break up the line. The first stylist did not achieve this, and parts of my hair actually turned purple but she was sweet and refunded the money, referring me to another stylist that could do what I'm looking for at the price I was looking for. The new stylist was supposed to specialize in balayage, and they recommended that method for what I'm wanting. I never would feel comfortable going to a new stylist but the owner was present and stated she keeps a close eye during appointments and she would be there and make sure the result was great. The owner no showed. The new stylist didn't understand and put dark everywhere and must have over toned my hair. She basically did a brown balayage which is not what I wanted at all and the color was WAY darker than my natural ashy blonde, it was like black. I told her I was concerned at how dark it is and she assured me that it's just a shock because I'm not used to it... but I told her I didn't want dark in the ends of my hair... I wanted such a simple service. When I got home, I noticed there was a gray/silver tone to my hair. I was embarrassed. My hair looked awful. I wore it up often to try and hide it. I told the stylist I was unhappy with my results and very disappointed that the owner did not follow through on her word. I sent a message to the owner via their website and never heard back. The stylist left me "on read" and ghosted me after I messaged about how this is not what I wanted. This salon is a newer place and you'd think they would want to earn 5 star reviews. Huge disappointment. Luckily after tons of washes, her mistakes have washed out and it's starting to blend and look more like what I wanted in the first place. Tisa did a great job on daughter's hair but she ended up bleaching half of her custom sweatshirt. To be fair she did warn her she might get some bleach on there but didn't expect a ruined sweatshirt. She offered a drape but daughter went with cape. Tisa did not put a towel around the neck. When I texted her pictures she basically blew me off with she was warned. Really?! I have never had a hair stylist ruin any of my clothes. She did refund the tip, reluctantly. I guess we will keep searching for a hair stylist. read more

I've been wanting silver/grey hair for a long time and I was going to a different salon but after three sessions, I still wasn't getting the result I wanted and it was costing a fortune! Out of frustration, I had my hair bleached by a friend and *as predicted* it didn't turn out well. Mayra assessed the damage and suggested how it can be fixed. My hair had several different bands of color and very stubborn but Mayra took the challenge with guidance from Ally (who is the owner and has lots of experience and very knowledgeable). Mayra worked really really hard to give me the results I've been wanting and it turned out so perfect! Ally was so helpful and accommodating, she even offered to pick up food of my choice around the area since I've been there all day. I'm so so so happy with how it turned out, they made sure to use products that would help not damage my hair as much and was able to achieve it in one sitting--could've been potentially two if my hair wasn't bleached already. I'm glad I found a new salon with really lovely staff, super friendly and not pushy with selling products. Highly recommend coming in for an appointment! Mayra and Ally, you both rock! read more

Extremely satisfied with my new hair cut. My stylist Sydnie was very patient, understood my requirements and did a fantastic job.

I have been going to BellaBe for about a year now and the owner Alisa has been cutting my hair. She is very personable and has always given me a superb haircut every time. Probably the best stylist I have encountered since moving up here 10 years ago. The salon is immaculately clean as Alisa is a stickler for cleanliness. Definitely recommend this salon. read more
